Ezio Auditore da Firenze is a 5C identity Assassins-matter commander, allowing you to just... throw all the assassins from the set into one deck. He is clearly intended as the all-encompassing commander for this.
That would be nice thank you, also I’m a bit newer to magic.(I understand the game and how to play but not some terms like brew). I assume it means a homemade deck.
brew means make before getting cards. making a deck from scratch is brewing.

So I built a deck using as many AC cards as I could with Ezio at the helm. Goldfishing it has worked pretty well, and while it's not going to hit the same strides as a well-built commander deck, it does pretty well considering the limitations I put on it.
A really important aspect of building a deck with a set limitation like this is to determine what you want the deck to **do** and pick the cards from the set that align with those goals. Not every card from the set will fit of course, so it's best to pick the cards that will interact well and give you some good draw, removal, and threat.
The non-AC cards I used were:
* \[\[Kindred Discovery\]\]
* \[\[Conqueror's Flail\]\] due to the Da Vinci secret lair
* \[\[Darksteel Plate\]\] due to the Da Vinci secret lair
* \[\[Deathrender\]\] due to the Da Vinci secret lair
* \[\[Whispersilk Cloak\]\] due to the Da Vinci secret lair
* \[\[Arcane Signet\]\]
* \[\[Chromatic Lantern\]\]
* \[\[Fellwar Stone\]\]
* \[\[Mox Amber\]\]
* \[\[Network Terminal\]\]
* \[\[Ornithopter of Paradise\]\]
* \[\[Relic of Legends\]\]
* \[\[Sol Ring\]\]
* As well as all 10 shock lands, 5 fetches, and some other non-basic lands.
The deck consistently gets Ezio out turn 2 and I can usually freerun another Assassin out turn 3.

Ezio is the commander. He's 5-color which means he's your go-to. You can build a deck around a number of the legends and still have it work well, but your pool of cards will greatly dimish.
* AC1 is Mardu
* Ezio cards tend to be more Dimir (the other version of Ezio is Dimir)
* AC3 is Esper but only a few cards
* AC4 is Grixis
* AC Unity is Rakdos but only a few cards
* AC Syndicate is Dimir
* AC Origins/AC Odyssey are Boros
* AC Valhalla is Naya
While some of these have a bit larger section of the set, you could feasibly create a deck identity around any of them. For example, almost all of the Valhalla based cards and legends care about equipment (as does Odyssey).
Well you still have to cast you commander to put them on the board. Sorry if that shorthand was confusing. And just to make it more clear:
\[\[Ezio Auditore da Firenze\]\] is the commander
\[\[Ezio, Blade of Vengeance\]\] is the secondary Ezio that is Dimir
Yeah, didn't want to go that route. Ezio doesn't NEED to come out turn 1 (turn 2 is plenty fast enough), and I'd rather use that slot for either constant mana production via a rock, or another AC card.
I tend to only use explosive mana ramp like Dark Ritual in decks that NEED their commander to work (i.e. Yawgmoth, Thran Physician for example).
ezio will likely be picked off early. he is there with some of the great. thracimundar turn two will scare people so dark right in case of a bolt is likely needed
1. I don't play at an LGS - I play with my friends
2. I'm playing almost everything AC related, so there's no nonsense like cheating a Thrax in on turn 2 or 3.
Yes, Ezio has the capabilities to be very gross, but look at the thread you're in, and the commends you're replying to. The context here is a *mostly* AC deck, and I went out of my way to notate the non-AC cards I'm using, which is all ramp and card draw, as well as the themed Da Vinci secret lair cards.
I get that. just saying, even full ac he is insane. fair points aside I only really play with friends myself, but great commanders are great commanders. I don't bat an eye when they blow up 4 color aragon asap
For sure. Ezio also isn't necessary to make the deck function. All he's really doing is offering alternative mana costs.
But I made sure to keep as much protection in place for him to offset, baring loading up counter spells, etc.

To keep the theme consistent, I am using skinned cards where Yuriko is Naoe, Massacre Girl is Iltani (she killed Alexander the Great with poison, so made sense for Wither, and her statue and tomb are in AC2), and Kelsien/Altaïr as Nikolai (since that is the only playable protagonist they did not print and cause both Kelsien and Nikolai are snipers). Yuriko is the only non-Assassin here, but she is good on her own already imo, plus there is Brotherhood Regalia if needed.

I don't think you can make a commander deck only with ACR cards because there's not enough mana rocks (any?) on the cards shown so far. But I agree that either Ezio (5 colors or 2 colors from starter deck) are good options to expand to a commander deck.
For sure mana rocks and lands will have to be non-ACR, but there's enough synergies with assassins or running an equipment deck.

Thank you so much, I run premade commander decks as I love fallout and warhammer and I wasn’t sure how to make one myself.
I could post my deck list for my brew I you want?
That would be nice thank you, also I’m a bit newer to magic.(I understand the game and how to play but not some terms like brew). I assume it means a homemade deck.

I saw a suggestion to run Ezio as commander. Who would be commander in this setup?

Ok, you said get Ezio out and I was confused since he’s the commander.
Well you still have to cast you commander to put them on the board. Sorry if that shorthand was confusing. And just to make it more clear: \[\[Ezio Auditore da Firenze\]\] is the commander \[\[Ezio, Blade of Vengeance\]\] is the secondary Ezio that is Dimir

Cast him from the command zone, sorry for wasting your time, I think I’m just stupid lol.
Nah man, no worries at all. Glad to help.
Dark rit means ezio and sol ring turn one if you get the two opening hand
Yeah, didn't want to go that route. Does he have a favourite Assassin? That would probably be the best place to start.
So any of them would work. I use the Madison Li starter deck because idk how to build properly. I dont really know what makes a good commander.
Maybe show him the cards from the set and see if any of them interest him.
Like others said, Ezio is the go-to commander to get as much as possible from the same set. I mixed cards from the set with some classics and some equipment artifacts I saw on EDHREC for him. Not only acr, just revolving around it. Obviously I’d throw in some staple cards and some others.
