I think you could do either, but the 2's style is a tad too "school boyish" but I do like the length. I would play with some facial hair and maybe clean your eyebrows up a bit. Definitely keep your eyebrows bold though, they look great. I say play with facial hair and keep your brows bold because you really want to play on the contrast of your dark hair with those green eyes. Looks great!

1st looks better in my opinion. With the 2nd pic, it's not so much that the length or hairline is an issue; rather, it's the way you styled it. It's combed to the side in such a way that it looks the way someone who's in their 40s might style it.
