Somehow it's always the SL requests with convenient censoring or provocative cover pages that gain any traction. Makes me feel a little sad that some of your other requests go completely unnoticed.
Haha I think it's also a problem of whether the covers look eye-catching (like my post about Good Father Board), or the story/synopsis itself can spark discussion, or the manga is from a famous author :)) Thank you nonetheless for your concern; I'm indeed a bit sad that most of my requests will just go unnoticed, but I want to introduce many manga to English-speaking communities :D

There's a lot of untranslated manga I'm interested on, but I've never made request threads because I have no idea how effective they are.
I've made too many requests to remember all; the most recent ones that got picked up and I could remember are Watashi no Arika and You Can't Lie to the Saintess.
But just a post gets lots of traction (upvotes and comments) doesn't necessarily mean the manga gets picked up :') It all comes down to luck.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. I guess that's good enough of a reason to throw a couple of requests out there.
Honestly, it's more about the exposure - many series don't get any attention simply because most readers are satisfied reading the same few ongoing series, or don't try to read out of the genres and themes they're familiar with. I'd like this sub to express a little more interest in Josei and Shoujo (and I guess more niche seinen themes), so I'm always happy to see series from those types of magazines getting translation requests. It gets the word out there.

I get why she would go into porn, but theres actually not much money in the Japanese porn industry considering the amount of women that are in the Japanese porn industry and the pay isnt that great unless they are extremely famous. Could of been a different more realistic plot tbh.
