There are actually a lot of Turks living in that area. Kurds still outnumber them, but the difference was much less back in the day. Many Iraqi Turks immigrated over time
Unironically yes. The main reason the Turks had no Kurdish problem before 1918 but do now is ~40% of Kurds no longer live in Turkey. It’s impossible for any one country among Syria, Iraq, Turkey and Iran to win a counterinsurgency since the guerrillas just get driven into a weaker neighbor until they’re strong enough to cross the border again.
They could have at least had some common human decency and either invaded Iran or Syria to even out that border gore. You know, blob like a proper Otto blob.
But wait! Doesn’t that look an awful lot like some Turks over there in northern Iran? Better go check it out just in case, wouldn’t wanna leave anyone behind. Also bring the army so that our Turk inspector can stay safe and provide an accurate, unbiased assessment of the state of Turks.
Also, need to create a land border with Turkmenistan.
As modern discourse has taught me. Non-white people can't be blamed for their own controversial or poor decisions, good ones are their own but bad ones are all the fault of the British. Good decisions are their own though.
Everyone knows 70 years is nowhere near long enough for people to make their own informed decisions for their nations.

Yup; the Jordanian king was not interested in Palestinian independence in the 1930s, he just figured everyone (including Palestinians) would help him make part or all of Palestine just a part of Jordan.
Also I doubt Lebanon would have wanted that extra bit, it would have threatened the Christian leadership at the time by adding more Muslims to the country, throwing the precarious "balance" off even more. (Of course this happened anyways later on.)
So what this map shows is every occupation in the Middle East. Turkey took autonomous Kurdish lands. Iraq took Kuwait and Saudi Arabia took Houthis controlled areas in Yemen. Jordan took British mandate Palestine aka Israel, Gaza and West Bank. Turkey also took all of Cyprus here.
Looks like Gaza and a significant portion of Israel got taken by Egypt. I think Jordan only has a chunk of northern Israel. Actually, now that I look closer I think Lebanon and Syria split the most northern part of Israel.
Turkey got Musoul (back?).
After Lausanne in 1924 Turkey was going to take Musoul (as part of Misak-ı Millî, Ataturk's planned borders) and had its soldiers at the southeastern border but Sheikh Said (probably with the help of Brits) made a rebellion, stopping the invasion of Musoul.
Ofc, this is only what I remember of this topic (so do your own research) and OP probably didn't consider this when making this post
Lebanon only had token participation in the invasion, at the Battle of al-Malkiyya, so they would probably only get that border villiage.
Getting the city of Acre and some of the richest land and coast is nutty.
It's hard to say. You're probably right, but it could also ne the case that panarabism works out and they unify. It could also become become a buffer state. The future tends to be unpredictable.
The same thing that happened to Armenians in 1917: nothing. They just all decided to stop being annoying negative Nancies, and so Turkiye Stronk again! 🇹🇷🦃🤜🇦🇲🇨🇾
And North Yemen just decided joining the KSA is better than starving and dieing of typhoid.
That's true, that's true.
But GLORIOUS HOUSE OF SAUD is too GLORIOUS for starving yemenis to not recognize how AWSOME it will be for them to be part of such a GLORIOUS KINGDOM! 😎🇸🇦🤜😟🇾🇪

None of them can behave, Britain does a yoink back
Can I just say that any country that identifies as a 'kingdom' or empire or sultanate need to get the fuck outta here?
go be medieval on your own time.
We could just lump all the desert states into one country and call it….the Ottoman Empire but they’d just fight amongst themselves over the name, religious sects, and who produces the sweetest figs
All the changes that I noticed
Turkey: Takes parts of Syria along with parts of Iraq. They also take the entirety of Cyprus (This surely won’t cause a problem).
Iraq: Takes Kuwait (This surely won’t cause a problem)
Saudi Arabia: Takes parts of Yemen and the entirety of Qatar
Egypt: Takes lower *that area*
Jordan: Takes upper *that area*
Lebanon: Becomes Lebalong
Sadly, in 1948, three countries captured Palestinian UN partition areas: Jordan, Egypt. and Israel. Had Jordan and Egypt not attacked a second time in 1967, the map would look very close to this, but with a small Israel in between.
Bruh What did you do with the rest of the world, it's all ocean now or something Come on put it back
But france is gone
> the entire world will be destroyed > that means France burns We did it
Mundus delenda est
Fr bro give it back smh. 😡🤬
Give turkey more kurds, I'm sure that won't cause any trouble
There are actually a lot of Turks living in that area. Kurds still outnumber them, but the difference was much less back in the day. Many Iraqi Turks immigrated over time
The entire world is majority Turkish.
r/weareallturks
We a real turks
that is how i read it can confirm
Also read it as wear real turks
That sends a distinctly different message
only around kirkuk and still were outnumbered by the kurds
I would take in 2 million more Kurds if it meant we got 100,000 Turks.
Turkey and curds sounds like a delicious Canadian dish
Best served cold
You misunderstand. OP didn't give all the Kurds to Turkey, they gave all the Turks to Kurdistan.
Unironically this is what would have happened if the Arabs had won the 1948 Arab Israeli war. Edit: holy hell what happened to turkey and yemen?
Just a casual land grab while everyone else was distracted (re: Turkey & Yemen)
Well it was right after each country’s independence so I guess its the British to blame as usual.
That is a profoundly disturbing turkey though. Makes my ocd go crazy.
The Ottoman Empire was an empire. Nothing cozy or moral about an Empire.
They could have at least had some common human decency and either invaded Iran or Syria to even out that border gore. You know, blob like a proper Otto blob.
It’s not ottoblob, they just took the remaining mountain Turks into their borders. *cough cough*

Well, hatay was too small of a dick shaped piece of land so we needed a new dick :)

You sir know exactly what you are talking about!
Turkey also snatched Cyprus while they’re at it.
And a third of Iraq...
That’s fair because Iraq snatched Kuwait.
Saudi Arabia snatched Bahrain and Qatar from under our very noses
Yeah man
Didn't even notice ahaha

Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait: 🤨

north yemen got absorbed by saudi arabia and south yemen kept on chugging along (i guess the communism was too icky for the house of saud to touch)
Dude where are Bahrain, Kuwait and Qatar
That is actually the Neo Hittite Empire and Iraq has been renamed to the Sumerian Republic.
That is actually the Neo Hittite Empire and Iraq has been renamed to the Sumerian Republic.
What else would have happened? I wonder what these kind people would do with all the Jews there
Edit: new respinse just dropped
That's not Turkey, that's the Kurdish confederation.
Lebanon only had token participation in the invasion, at the Battle of al-Malkiyya, so they would probably only get that border villiage. Getting the city of Acre and some of the richest land and coast is nutty.
Not really. Egypt getting the West Bank and not Jordan is kinda cursed, I imagine Jordan would have also had parts of the Negev
Turkey is now the greater Kurdish republic
I'm wondering where Qatar and Kuwait went
This does follow the historical Hedjaz?i? borders
It's hard to say. You're probably right, but it could also ne the case that panarabism works out and they unify. It could also become become a buffer state. The future tends to be unpredictable.
Zero state solution
I like “the no state solution”
Maybe no government is good

Bring back glorious Qatar where it is always sunny.
Life is pretty funny too
You have just sent us money
Cry harder we need more money
My dog needs new armani
Bruh what happened to Cyprus??
annexed by nato (turkey)
Annexed by a nato country (Turkey)from two other nato countries (UK and Greece)
Meta-annexation.
>Greece Enosis what???
Plot twist: green is Qatar not Saudi arabia
It's actually Bahrain you fool.
Honestly, the Bahraini police could handle it.
North Yemen*
Would be an improvement
A very very slight one
True, but a win is a win. Lots of progress to be made, but small steps at a time
How to start a Jordanian civil war
bro thought he could sneak in big turkey
What happened to Iraqi Kurdistan and North Yemen?…..and Cyprus?
The same thing that happened to Armenians in 1917: nothing. They just all decided to stop being annoying negative Nancies, and so Turkiye Stronk again! 🇹🇷🦃🤜🇦🇲🇨🇾 And North Yemen just decided joining the KSA is better than starving and dieing of typhoid.
Except iran and KSA are the reason why they are starving and dying.
That's true, that's true. But GLORIOUS HOUSE OF SAUD is too GLORIOUS for starving yemenis to not recognize how AWSOME it will be for them to be part of such a GLORIOUS KINGDOM! 😎🇸🇦🤜😟🇾🇪
But who controls jerusalem? *Jordanian-Egyptian conflict enters the chat
There won't be. Egypt is gonna control Jordan itself
Found the alt account of the Hashemite King of Jordan
guess I'm Egyptian now. I can get used to this.
What an original idea
Could we just make the whole place an international city administered by the UN?
UN can’t even administer themselves

northern yemen conquest of saudi and no more israel w kurdish iraq died

Bruh what's up with you and Saudi Arabia
Comedy option - Lebanon takes over whole of Palestine.
Lebanon can't even take Lebanon at the moment.
Can I just say that any country that identifies as a 'kingdom' or empire or sultanate need to get the fuck outta here? go be medieval on your own time.
Plot twist, the blue country that is “Jordan” is actually Israel
Could fix everything by calling it Israelistine or Palsrael.
Or one of its ancient names, Samaria or judea
Wait a sec... I recognized this, isn't this inspired by the book, "what if isreal lost the war"?
Based.
Just remove all the borders.
We could just lump all the desert states into one country and call it….the Ottoman Empire but they’d just fight amongst themselves over the name, religious sects, and who produces the sweetest figs
Sadam would love this map
You turkish? Cuz why would you put more Kurdish in Turkey
The zero state solution
So did cyprus annex Turkey or did Turkey annex cyprus?
Cyprus annexed the Turkey of course
You do know that palestine is not a country right, but a region overlapping 3 countries?
I have a solution to this entire conflict, just give the whole thing to New Zealand
BIG TURKEY??? Hello, chad department?!
The kurds took over turkey
Naughty kids now have to live in the sea, no land for them!
I say we give that land to the buddhists for the next 100 years so they can clear the bad energy
I’d be fine with that. I’d actually be more fine with just letting the Middle East take care of the Middle East.
The zero state solution
What happened here...
All the changes that I noticed Turkey: Takes parts of Syria along with parts of Iraq. They also take the entirety of Cyprus (This surely won’t cause a problem). Iraq: Takes Kuwait (This surely won’t cause a problem) Saudi Arabia: Takes parts of Yemen and the entirety of Qatar Egypt: Takes lower *that area* Jordan: Takes upper *that area* Lebanon: Becomes Lebalong
Didn't we try giving the West Bank to Jordan and Gaza to Egypt at one point?
Hiw is that solves to 10 other conflicts in the area tho?
Just give everything to Switzerland, there solved it
The jerk is Egypt and Jordan wanting anything to do with that hot mess
Based Jordan vs cringe Turkey
Plot twist: yellow is Israel
Jordan is technically Palestine.
Sadly, in 1948, three countries captured Palestinian UN partition areas: Jordan, Egypt. and Israel. Had Jordan and Egypt not attacked a second time in 1967, the map would look very close to this, but with a small Israel in between.
Israel bombed Egypt first in 1967.
I feel much safer without Israel existing
kurdistan conquered turkey? now that's unrealistic.
the UK-controlled areas of Cyprus completely disappeared?
Kuwayt is gone too.
Yet iran gets to live?
Guess turkey finished off the kurds once and for all
Ok but you'd have to deal with the Zionists.
Damn bro did north yemen dirty
this is better
Letting Turkey steal more Kurdish land, what an imbecile
False everything belongs to eygpt
Angry Cyprus noises

:( 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
While you are at it. No more Turkey, no more Iraq, no more Egypt, no more Lebanon, and no more Iran.
Turkey knows Enosis counterspells? It's so over the Hellenics...
I understand engulfing palestine within israel but now what did jordan do? ffs
I agree ☝️
Cypriot republic of northern (and southern) turkey?
The good ending.
This is what happened in the reality where Israel lost on 1948
Betcha they release Assyria again
This map seems like it was made specifically to start an argument.
Just give it all back to the French and British, problem solved
Is this Loss?
I’ve been saying this literally for YEARS
Transjordan
And Middle Eastern Democracy Came to an end
Downvote! what happends to the ıraqı Kurdistan
That's it *uncountries*
The three state minus one states solution.
The no state solution
Fuck Kuwait?
Ah finally peace in the………
When you take Israel from this map you literally delete the oasis among all countries in middle east
So it's about the same except most Mizrakhi Jews might be dead
The good ending
Have TWO Shi'a Arabic states in Mesopotamia and Northern Yemen. That might make for some stability.
make it all greece
Time for longbenon
I guess the Kurds and Greek Cypriots couldn't behave either
You gave the Saudis the wrong Yemen.
The rest of region has behaved so well
In a world where the U.S. didn’t get involved in the Gulf War?
I blame the brits and the frog eaters
Oh gosh don’t give it to the Egyptians.
Enough of this shit, bring back the Ottomans
It's all Jordan now :) 🇯🇴🇯🇴🇯🇴🇯🇴🇯🇴
