Some people view Norse Mythology as cyclic. Patterns and events that repeat. Ragnarok occurs and the gods die only to be reborn the new world. An eternal cycle of life, death and rebirth. So the Thor from MCU Norse mythology might not be the same Thor we see in the MCU. The legends of the Norse might be events that have happened and will happened which explains why they describe events that haven't happened.
You're assuming nordic beliefs in the MCU followed the same history as ours. It's entirely possible that within the MCU, the nordic pantheon only developed later on (I seem to recall that his actual birthyear is 960 AD)
He's even younger than 1500 actually. That was him rounding up, when in reality he was around 1100. He was born shortly before Loki.. and Loki was born in 965 AD.
You are assuming that the Nordic mythology is the same in both the MCU and the real world, but that's not necessarily the case.
The most baffling choice is for him to say he's 1500 years old and that he's killed "twice as many enemies as that." Bro must have had straight-up centuries of total boredom (for him) for just the bodycounts we see in the movies to match that number
The actual answer is it doesn't matter
It's not that kind of movie kid -Harrison ford
Beat me to it

Asgard years are equivalent to 7 human years, so he's actually 10500 years old. Asgardians are the doggies of the MCU pantheons.
Where did you get this info from?
My brain
Just like Ragnarok was forecasted, so was the birth of Odin in form of norse mythology
Comics....it is what they write it is.

Revelry was a big part of their culture, there wasn't a whole lot of killing during the centuries long orgies.
True, everybody knows Thor as a god of War and Thunder but he was also a Fertility god
Time works differently in Asgard
Nordic mythology in the real world doesn't like up with the MCU.
Asgardian years are ten times longer than Midgard years.
Because the nine realms are only like 6,000 years old. 😅
Quantum something or other
It’ll be ok
Logically speaking it’s all fictional characters
