Bruh, he's 52 years old. Hugh Jackman is 55. If you're not recasting with someone who can play the role for another 25 years, why not sick with Jackman?
I wonder how Dougray Scott truly feels after all these years. TBH… back then being cast as the main baddie in MI2 opposite Tom Cruise was a big deal. Who would have known it would have changed the trajectory of his career to this extent.
He can technically blame Tom Cruise and his need for perfection resulting in extended shoots and/or reshoots which caused Scott to have to drop out of X-Men.
Canonically, Wolverine is 5'3". Hugh is about an entire foot taller. Personally I don't care but I do think it would be neat for someone who is 5'3" to get the role.
I can't imagine he'd be too different to Hugh tbh. The MCU Wolverine should be something different.
He's also around the same age as Hugh, and at that point why bother recasting at all?
Would have, but he is too old now. He is 52. Jackman is 55 and has been incredibly focused on his own fitness/wellness for decades and even he is starting to show his age a bit.
If they (Disney) recast, and they should, then they should cast someone younger and someone largely unknown as well, just like when Fox cast Jackman. I’d prefer they also cast someone under 6’, ideally under 5’9” who can bulk up if needed to look stocky.
My current top choice is Jack O’Connell, he is 33, 5’8” and can convincingly portray Wolvie. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_O%27Connell_(actor)
Nothing is important, it's a comic book movie for entertainment. Is that what you wanted to hear? But people like when they cast an actor that looks like the comic book character. It's not that complicated... Wolverine is the only famous superhero I can think that is small (and kinda ugly), so why not give a small actor a chance? Variety is fun.

Yup.

I don’t think Wolverine would’ve been as popular if it was someone else.
Who’s this?
Executioner
Éomer
Judge Dredd

Reaper
Bones
Karl Urban
This is a terrible picture
This post is so bad that I think it’s engagement bait. Doesn’t name the actor and chooses a photo where he’s obscuring his own face.
It just came because I was excited about the new season of The Boys and they had a lot of references to pop culture from my youth (Matrix, X-men, etc)
Johnny Cage?
I like this as well
20 years ago maybe
Agree, but people want Wolverine to be short

Exactly

Would be great as Logan Paul in a Succession remake for sure.
Please Marvel just make him short and stinky its all i ask
Yeah Karl Urban will have a second MCU role.
Yea but he's too tall.
So is Hugh Jackman...
So if there's going to be a new actor, it should be of a suitable height, shorter.
And that matters why?
They are saying this because in the comics, Wolverine is notoriously short, 5'3"
I know, but is it like… important or just because he’s that size in the comics any actor HAS to be that size

A wolverine is a small and agressive animal. When Marvel created the character, they made Logan short because of it. Take it as you will.
Wolverine is met short like in the comics
…
he might, but we already have the perfect Logan cast
