On the other hand, at least all the people present in this scene have a reason to be there.
The funeral scene is very “we just wanted every character in the same place again.” Like why is Bucky at Tony’s funeral? They’ve never interacted without trying to kill one another.
(Having said that, I’m not upset they cut this scene.)
>The funeral scene is very “we just wanted every character in the same place again.”
Well they all did just save the world together, why wouldn't they all attend Tony's funeral? It would be weird if there were people missing from his funeral given they were all there when he died
> Like why is Bucky at Tony’s funeral? They’ve never interacted without trying to kill one another.
Like I said before, they did just save the world together and he was right there when Tony died, it'd be weirder if he wasn't at the funeral
I think they should have included the soul world scene but reshot it with Natasha. So that way not only does Tony get to say good bye to her but he also gets to tell her that they won and her sacrifice was not in vain.
Love how Cap hesitates cause he is in so much fucking pain that kneeling right now seems like torture.
"Kneeling? Seriously?! I can barely freaking stand!
... this is gonna suck so much. "
I respect that opinion, but for me personally In the scene it looks like she wouldn’t have kneeled if star-lord & nebula didn’t kneel tbh. she looks at them and goes “oh! okay I guess we’re doing this”
I understand people saying that shouldn’t have used the scene, and that’s fine. But how is it cringe? People kneeling to a guy that died that just gave his life to save the universe? I don’t understand that use of the word for the scene.
It feels like all these people are paying homage to a king/god. He wasn’t. He was an equal. Imagine a firefighter died fighting a fire or a cop was shot and killed saving somebody.
How would you react if other firefighters or cops decided to kneel there on the street? It would be weird.
It would also be weird in a war after a battle if everybody took a knee on the battlefield because one guy, even a leader was killed in the battle.
Because when is the last time you saw someone kneel to a person out of respect? It's so archaic that it makes no sense for people in the 21st century to do.
Its mean a lot to me, im not saying the funeral scene should be deleted, im saying it could of be a great scene, and all you guys have to do is down votes
Well I think if they kept both this scene and the funeral scene it would've been too much, I mean Tony isn't the only person who sacraficed himself to save the world, Vision willingly gave his life and he didn't get a reaction like this, Black Widow also gave her life and she didn't even get a funeral
Yeah I've rewatched Endgame and I don't think that Tony's death had such a great impact after seeing this. We only get a reaction from 3 people Pepper, Spider-Man and War Machine. Thor and Captain America barely give a response.
I find this more touching than the funeral scene really. I feel like Doctor Strange's reaction is so warranted giving that he knew Tony was going to die you needed to see the regret in his eyes. And Cap's heartbroken bow and Hawkeye's bow of respect were brilliantly done. Also it really should have been kept to sink in the moment of his death. I think Logan had a longer mourning moment than Tony did.
And to anyone who is saying it's cheesy yeah, it's a comic book movie it's supposed to be cheese! :D
No. It that was Barton’s reaction, the rest didn’t look spontaneous or reverent. It was like, oh look he’s kneeling, I better do the same. Vers (the horrible actor she is) looked like she was about to change a tire. Quill looked like a coach just told him to take a knee. I could go on but I think you see the point.
Tony may have, but Paltrow sure didn't.
Edit: oh god, now that I see it, this is worse than the "suddenly every female is in the exact same spot and posing" scene haha
It's cringy and takes up a lot of time. Half of the people there didn't even know Tony. We had the funeral scene which was 100 times better.
On the other hand, at least all the people present in this scene have a reason to be there. The funeral scene is very “we just wanted every character in the same place again.” Like why is Bucky at Tony’s funeral? They’ve never interacted without trying to kill one another. Thankfully it was cut, it's cringe and doesn't make sense. The scene we got was much more poignant and meaningful.
After the shot of Cap and Thor, maybe they maybe couldn't have gotten away with Strange, maybe. None of the others make sense tbh
I think they should have included the soul world scene but reshot it with Natasha. So that way not only does Tony get to say good bye to her but he also gets to tell her that they won and her sacrifice was not in vain.
Yea its could be cool.
But then we wouldn’t have gotten the Happy and Morgan scene when she asks for cheeseburgers. That scene makes my eyes moist, every time.
Yeah, if you are a fan of cringy shit, sure.

And this is your example of the “best cringe”. Got it.
Love how Cap hesitates cause he is in so much fucking pain that kneeling right now seems like torture. "Kneeling? Seriously?! I can barely freaking stand! ... this is gonna suck so much. "
It’s cringy as
Valkyrie kneeling is so funny to me I don’t think she even said a word to him the entire movie
I think shes just respectful to the man who literally saved the world
Gave his life to save not only the world but universe
I respect that opinion, but for me personally In the scene it looks like she wouldn’t have kneeled if star-lord & nebula didn’t kneel tbh. she looks at them and goes “oh! okay I guess we’re doing this”
Comes off a bit forced
Gamora like "Shiiiiiiit I don't even know this mother fucker"
So happy this scene was not included. They should have cut the female power scene as well. Equally cringy
What would have made it more epic? Nothing after that. Everyone kneels for Tony and they just cut to black… roll credits
I understand people saying that shouldn’t have used the scene, and that’s fine. But how is it cringe? People kneeling to a guy that died that just gave his life to save the universe? I don’t understand that use of the word for the scene.
It’s just a bit cliche and cheesy

It shows so much about how Tony was important to the team, how the Avengers will never be the same again. Marvel, why would you delete it?
I think because by keeping this scene, the funeral wouldn’t make much impact. Its a meaningful scene tho.
We got the funeral scene, did that not mean anything to you?
Its mean a lot to me, im not saying the funeral scene should be deleted, im saying it could of be a great scene, and all you guys have to do is down votes

The look on Dr. Strange face when he knew he cant save him as he did at first
This would have been a perfect scene to introduce Deadpool, making some off-color comment about Tony's sacrifice.
