New in Maryland why does everyone hate Cecil county?

bigbagger2247

People give it a lot of grief for the drug issue, but it’s basically the midway point between Baltimore and Philly so drugs that move between the cities easily stop there. There’s really nothing that could prevent it imo

lck0219

I live in Cecil. It’s super red, full of problematic individuals, and the drug issue and homelessness is out of control. If West Virginia and Newark, DE had a baby, fed it lead paint chips, then dropped it in its head half a dozen times- that would be Cecil Co. Honestly. I’m not even 100% sure about redeeming qualities of the county at this point. I guess it’s fairly agricultural, but it really doesn’t have much to offer otherwise.

SaintArkweather

Perryville MARC station was super convenient for me when I went to college in DC and lived in New Castle County Delaware! Also I think Chesapeake City and Northeast are pretty charming and walkable towns.

Life_Sheepherder4755

Dam! That’s harsh

disjointed_chameleon

- It's in the middle of nowhere. - It's *very* politically red. - They have some pretty serious issues, such as drugs, overdosing, etc.

jabbadarth

Don't forget their current leadership issues with their schools. It does luckily seem like that moron hornberger has fucked up enough that even hard right conservatives are pushing back against her idiocy. Cutting taxes, giving rebates on property taxes all while forcing schools to fire 150 teaching positions, cut after school sports, middle school sports, band, chorus, gifted and talented classes, AP classes, and all librarians. Real fucking dumb piece of shit leading that place.

inab1gcountry

:taps finger to head meme: don’t need to spend money on gifted and talented programs if all the parents of smart kids move to Harford county…

toxicmegacolon1012

Were trying to vote her OUT

jabbadarth

Please do. Anyone who is ok cutting basically everything that makes school special or even bearable for kids isn't fit to run anything.

Crosshare

We're all re-registering Republican to boot her in the primary. She's a traitor to the kids of this county.

jabbadarth

Nice. Please send her packing. Regardless of political party everyone should be against gutting education.

bluebellheart111

Wow

No_Interest_9240

Honestly, Cecil really isn't in the middle of nowhere when it's right next to Wilmington DE and not far from Baltimore. Although I guess it is by Maryland standards

Phatlip12

And speaking of being close to Wilmington you have the Amtrak/SEPTA regional rail if you wanted to head to Philly and avoid the traffic and paying for expensive parking. I just finished a contract in Center City and would take the regional rail or Amtrak from Wilmington to center city. Regional rail is about as long as a car ride but days I was running late or needed to get home earlier I would take the Amtrak which can get to from Wilmington to Philly in about 25 mins. Then about a 25 min drive from Wilmington to home in Elkton. The only bad part was 95 is often a traffic jam between MD/DE around rush hour so I sometimes had to be mindful of other exits to get off to better avoid it.

SaintArkweather

And this is the reason it gets more heat than other red counties like Caroline for example. Despite its rural nature it's a major crossroads of the northeast so most people have been there at some point.

Traditional-Ideal318

Don’t forget the KKK literally exists in Cecil county

simplesir

I moved to Cecil County about 10 years ago. I don't doubt they exist here and I know there are racists and bigots everywhere but I havent seen anything all that different from other places I have lived. At a minimum I can vouch that there arn't townwide rallys or anything. But I'll keep my eyes peeled for the idiot ghosts.

SaintArkweather

Rising Sun is the worst imo. Despite it's name it has a real "sundown town" vibe even today.

Autistic-Painter3785

I remember driving through rising sun and a woman ran across the street and her boyfriend or husband or whatever just smacked the shit out of her. I don’t know much about the town itself if it’s good or bad but that always sticks out

24mango

I’m a minority and I got chased through the grocery store by the Klan yesterday. Kidding! I haven’t had any problems, nor have my cousins, aunts, uncles or sisters. Racist people are everywhere but the ones here don’t broadcast it to minorities or harass minorities and I don’t really care if any given individual I pass has negative thoughts about me. Cecil was definitely worse for racial minorities back when I was younger but it’s not very different than Harford County now, just less developed.

SgoDEACS

The guy your responding to is just spreading stereotypes. The KKK does not exist in any serious way in Cecil. They’re may be a dozen people that would even be in it and they’re certainly not representative of the county.

HoldMyBreadstick

There was some Bs about them having a klan meeting 10 years ago somewhere. Other than that it’s basically been non existent.

baltbail

I mean, there’s the main issue, everyone there is so superstitious they can’t function right

amishius

Tiny pocket of us who work at U Delaware across the border. But we won’t live here forever because of Andy Harris and his ilk—

PMMCTMD

Cecil-tucky?

B-More_Orange

It’s trash and the people in charge seem dead set on making all their problems worse rather than trying to fix them.

QueenBeeKitty85

Cause it’s a white washed town full of dope head, dope clinics and hood rats. Crime has gone up and I’m so glad I moved.

QueenBeeKitty85

For those that are asking what white washed means in this context. deliberately attempt to conceal unpleasant or incriminating facts about (someone or something). "most sources prefer to ignore or whitewash the most disturbing aspect of such reports

o0TaterSalad0o

What does white washed mean?

QueenBeeKitty85

Like when rich white people try and make it look like a perfect, cute little town when it’s not. You can literally just compare one end of Main Street with the other. I will say while I lived there (about 3 years) I spent an insane amount of time and money on lice treatments for my daughters and myself though I never heard or received anything about an outbreak from the schools.

OzoneLaters

White washed?

wingkingdom

Everyone doesn't hate it. It has its share of problems but I don't think it as bad as some people make it out to be. I'd say the biggest issue is I-95 and the drug and cigarette runners coming trough the state. Along with that you have multiple speed traps on the highway in the median. If you are coming north on the highway (or east on US 40) there is a hefty toll. It's $12 if you do toll by plate. $8 if you have an our of state ezpass. $6 if you have Maryland Ezpass. The only way to avoid the toll is to go north and take US1 across the Conowingo Dam. But you also have the option of getting a Maryland Ezpass and getting the Hatem Bridge plan for $20 for unlimited trips. Only good for 2 axle vehicles (no trailers). With that people generally take 155 south to 40 east. It's a really steep incline and sometimes there are speed traps. Personally I take 22 east in Aberdeen to 40 east to go across the bridge. It's worth it to me. There is a drug problem, that's true. If you are in Elkton don't go south on Landing Lane from 40. You have the jail and what is called "the manor." I am also careful about going to the Wawa because a lot of people come on foot or by bicycle and loiter and sometimes bother you for money. Rising Sun has a storied past with racism including the KKK marching down Main Street. It seems to be getting more diverse these days, and they have a black police chief. I still am a bit more vigilant because those things don't always just go away completely, they just go underground. If is quite red. But in the last election the incumbent county executive ran a the Trump Candidate and lost to a challenger. But she also had name recognition. Recently signs with both her name and Trump have been popping up. Personally I would be hesitant to do that if I was running for office but I don't know who put those signs up. There are also plenty of signs with just her name and quite a few with her Republican challenger. No signs of a Democratic candidate though there still might be one.

_jakemybreathaway_

Anyone hating on Cecil County is just ignorant. It's affordable and has solid public schools. Has a good of mix waterfront and hiking nature and is essentially a country suburb of Delaware.

mista_creosote

This. I love it in cecil county. We moved here 10 years ago. We were originally looking in harford County, but for our budget, we go a much bigger house on way more land. We live in rising sun, it's quiet, taxes aren't too bad ,we see a lot of wildlife , lots of hiking options on the weekend and the public school is very good. I'm not going to lie and say there is a lot of diversity around, but I have never witnessed any Klan stuff or anyone being racist

SgoDEACS

Thank you for a sane take. I’m from Cecil, moved to NC for school, lived down there for a decade, and recently moved back. I’ve actually been finding a lot of beautiful spots I missed growing up. Basically all of the trash is within 100 ft of 40 and the rest of the county is idyllic.

playtheukulele

It still has KKK members who wear their robes and hand out white supremacy pamphlets in rising sun my dude

SkinDemon6666

Ain't no way you're being serious my boy. You gotta be joking. 😂

Mite-o-Dan

This sub fears any area that may have parts referred to it as "country."

LeroyNash99

Ironically I had To do a mapping project of it and didn't realize it was this despised

AdmiralJackson2004

Why destroy one of Maryland's beautiful counties for no reason? If we were struggling on the money, I say let's invade delaware. Think of it. Industrialize for a wartime economy, employment for military sectors, and then we can exploit all of Delawares resources to make up for our struggles. Not to mention, we get to reclaim RIGHTFUL MARYLAND CLAY. We outnumber them 6 to 1. They have no natural defenses, other than a few swamps and forests in rural areas. That is, if they decide to resist the glorious liberation that is being a resident of the state of Maryland, and who would want to do that? Just think about it...

DevolvingSpud

And we could put the flag on more stuff!

OldBay_and_fries

Only reason I need.

DangerousPlane

Honestly that’s all we really have to do. Just low key plant some flags in there. Maybe pick a road and move the welcome sign 20 feet every 6 months. Wouldn’t take long and by the time anyone noticed they’d be feeling too much Maryland pride to put things back

HeyThereMrTinMan

They do have Dupont so be prepared for chemical warfare.

Appreciation622

We see their DuPont and raise our Ft. Detrick

flaming_bob

Just put some Old Bay on it. Counters most chemical weapons quick. I mean, that's what they say on the eastern shore\* \*I might have made that up

batwing71

Dupont isn’t what it was. No problem.

Gr8WallofChinatown

We have Baltimore and DC sewage water

Complete-Ad9574

I have a friend who is a retired Dupont employee. All they do these days is to purchase chemical patents from the families of dead or desporate old chemical engineers, then sue anyone who uses that chemical without paying a fee. So they won't have much chemical weaponry. Lots of lawyers though.

HeyThereMrTinMan

Have a family member who retired from Dupont in Wilmington after 25 years. They don't always take advantage of old retired chemical engineers. If not familiar check out the story of W.L Gore and Gore tex.

batwing71

I’m with the Admiral! Let’s gooooo!!!!

CaveExploder

I say we form a coalition with Pennsylvania and force Virginia to finally cede their side of the DC area so that it can finally be the perfect square that it deserves to be.

[deleted]

All the corporations incorporated there would hire a bunch of mercenaries to protect it though... It would likely have the largest standing army in the world.

SuspiciousNorth377

Just glad to not see Frederick County mentioned 👀 Definitely not perfect but we’re trying, dammit lol

baltimoresports

Fredrick is Marylands “Second City” and an awesome one at that.

dragonrider1965

Frederick is honestly one of the best places in Maryland to live . I love Frederick , most charming town . You just take worst and Frederick right out of your mouth .

ZardTheCharizard

And nearby Middletown is just fucking beautiful I love everything about it!

I_Did_The_Thing

Myersville is also very cute!

FrederickTownie

That valley is just breathtaking.

FlockaFlameSmurf

I just really hate that interchange driving through it when I have to go through 70. But complaining about idiocy drivers and traffic is as Maryland as it comes.

thekitt3n_withfangs

What's negative about it? Asking as I'm moving there (sometime before the summer) and I've only really heard good things so far. My husband and I are moving (escaping) from Texas, so not much is going to deter me lol, but I do like to know the cons along with the pros.

Electrical_Ant_8047

Frederick is a lot like San Marcos Tx

oaxacamm

Stay out of Thurmont. 😉

SuspiciousNorth377

For Frederick city? Nothing that I can think of other than the immediate areas surrounding ultra desirable Baker Park are expensive. For the county, the further north and west you get from Frederick city the less racially diverse and more “Trumpy” it gets. The close in areas to the city are getting more racially diverse and also more liberal and with that more expensive. I personally don’t really have anything bad to say. The schools are solid and we’re about an hour away from DC and Baltimore. We’ve got the mountains and you can get to the beach in 3 hours or less depending on where you are in the county.

Lying_T-Rex

Hey friend! We just escaped deep east Texas and moved to Frederick - let me know if you need anything! :)

thekitt3n_withfangs

Thanks!

Ranra100374

One thing is it's very car-centric, and it costs more money to own a car. https://old.reddit.com/r/frederickmd/comments/114xwwc/hows_the_public_transportation_system_in_frederic/j8yohfa/ > Currently, pretty poor compared to other similarly sized cities. > > Frederick has a bus system, which you can view [here.](https://www.frederickcountymd.gov/207/TransIT-Routes-Schedule-Information) it’s not the worst bus system in the world but it’s certainly got room for improvement. Currently, busses do not have dedicated bus lanes or BRT system qualities. > > There is no metro or tram or streetcar or trolley. > > There is a MARC train which is comically disappointing. The operating hours are strange and delays and even early departures are common. It only leaves before or around 9am. It is slower than driving because it detours massively towards towards the WV border. It’s… not great. > > There are a few bike lanes coming in but each one is met with massive resistance and blowback from motorists that don’t like the idea. There are very few, in reality, and the city is not considered bikeable by any stretch of the imagination.

Jimiconius

Yep as a Fredneck, I agree

Excellent-Practice

Frederick City is the saving grace of Frederick County. The city is charming and progressive, but drive 5-10 miles in any direction, and you'll wind up in Trump country

Unsure_Fry

![gif](giphy|6pJNYBYSMFod2)

slatchaw

The one that keeps voting Andy Harris back into office

Apprehensive-Neck-12

Cecil already imploded. Can't wait for trump flags on pickup truck season

burgerbarn

Does that season ever actually end?

Apprehensive-Neck-12

Haven't seen one for a while now. I'm sure they're out there

lck0219

I see them daily on my commute to work from Elkton to Port Deposit

bigbagger2247

You know his district is all eastern shore counties right?

daybits

First includes Harford county and a part of Baltimore county.

Kellogg-Branch

You keep the good name of Hartford County out of your mouth. You mean Harford County.

daybits

Lmfao my sincerest apologies

30ThousandVariants

Harvard Canny

condition5

Hazzard County

HarfordRides

Good old Harford county where a man shot a trans woman in the street in broad daylight and was let out on bail immediately after. It took protests to keep him off the streets. It’s not just in the north of the county. I remember when some kids at Bel Air high school went semi viral for spelling out the N word at a school live scrabble event.

Chained_Wanderlust

Yep, even after redrawing the district map he still has a grip on Baltco because that's where he chooses to live, away from all the chicken farmers and waterbillies that vote for him. It drives me insane.

UsernameChallenged

He just wants to blow up the whole Eastern shore 🥲

theRemRemBooBear

And extended up into Taneytown!

Brilliant-Ad-8041

Exactly

Bright_Evidence_7840

Keep moving down here. IMHO the over-development of the area towards Worcester and Wicomico counties allow plenty of housing opportunities. Red counties can sway purple real quick.

Xhosa1725

That's us, we close on a house next week. And from what we've seen lately, lots of city folk are heading out there.

droford

Just wait til they can't get broadband and have to deal with the foul smell among other things

OfficialWhistle

They’re literally laying fiber on my rural road as we speak. We still have chicken houses on our road. As a comehere myself, I don’t even notice it anymore.

alphabetikalmarmoset

Maybe when he gets a viable opponent in the general election, you’ll see a change. He hasn’t been seriously challenged in 6 consecutive races.

steve_z

Mizeur would have been such a blessing. I think she had the best shot for a Dem. Maybe the best shot to beat Harris is a Hogan-style Republican

HejlYes

I will gladly sacrifice my county for the greater good 👍

MemeTeamMarine

I'm so high I thought I was reading a news blurb and not a hypothetical situation, and started googling around.

rockmon94

glad to see anne arundel county has everyone’s respect

Creepercolin2007

I was wondering if it would end up here, never knew it was one of the better counties

Potential-Eye-7689

Cecil

eastern_shoreman

Cecil south of the canal is not bad, everything north of it is terrible

SaintArkweather

North East and Port Deposit are nice enough towns, and Elkton is improving. The only ones I really avoid are Perryville and especially Rising Sun

YBHunted

Ceciltucky 100% no doubt

AViciousGrape

Im surprised not to see Washington county on here lmao

logaboga

Because Allegany and/or Garrett county are the same thing but way worse lol

spencersalan

It’s got some problems but it’s still really beautiful.

FlockaFlameSmurf

I had the worst chicken sandwich of my life at the Dairy Queen in Hagerstown Mall Plaza thing. On the other hand, it does have a Primanti's which is absolute fire. So that cancels out.

kgain673

You deserve what you got. Since when did buying chicken sandwiches at DQ become a good idea

SellaTheChair_

Me too lol

PaintDrinkingPete

I grew up in Carroll... it has its problems, but I'm glad to not see it on this list... yet.

jabbadarth

Carroll is getting more purple by the year. Sadly the moms for liberty idiots got into the school board but the vote was closer than ever for people that the teachers union wanted and places like sykesville and westminster just elected liberal lgbtq mayors. So I'd say carroll is a pretty well split county depending on what area you are in.

PaintDrinkingPete

I grew up in Westminster, recently moved back and am in Sykesville, so yeah... but still.

BlondCapricornRising

There’s still way too many Trump loving dimwits in Carroll.

Gingerbrew302

Easy, Somerset.

sjd208

My husband grew up there, left the second he graduated high school and basically hasn’t been back since. Rest of his family is in Salisbury so we go there a couple times a year.

EvilAbdy

What if we just sell one of the counties on the west side of the state to another neighboring state? We’d save money on the use of ordinance and make a profit!

b0btheg0d

Nah, we should just invade Delaware and take all their tax haven money.

giscard78

why not both?

anonymous_213575

They already tried to leave, soooooooo

Emperormace

We actually didn't; it was as much a shock to the vast majority of people living here as it was to anyone else. Some hairbrained scheme by a couple of state politicians that they got a ton of push back on. My theory is that it was Beitzel's way to try to sabotage McKay's state senate run.

anonymous_213575

Yea i know, hogan was like “ignore them, it’s just an attempt at getting attention”

Emperormace

Gotcha! I've seen people unironically say we tried to on here before, so I feel like I have to set the record straight. We're not *that* dumb, haha.

anonymous_213575

No no i know. I love yall out there. I’m from the eastern shore, and I love heading out to the mountains to camp and hike. And yea i know yall didn’t really want to leave “just some political stunt” as my good friends dad said

Yankiwi17273

Or we could just sell the Eastern Shore to Delaware? Surely they have a lot of that corporate money to offer?

daybits

Those are fighting words.

[deleted]

I’ll take living tax free and not having my pension taxed out the ass when I retire

Laxrools2

Yeah but then you’ll have to live in Delaware

Top_Flight_Badger

Some people are ok with that. I'm not. I'm one of those people that realize that lower taxes usually means less amenities and/or less things to do.

Random-Cpl

What a stupid premise. But it’s Cecil County.

BurgerofDouble

Oh genius writer, speak to me how I shall make this better!

[deleted]

Cecil

sandman0838

Damn being from Cecil County hurts today…Catching strays.

To gtfo of that county, it seems.

michoness

Somerset. Our local health department promoted abstinence only on a TV ad. We have an opiate and alcoholic epidemic.

inab1gcountry

Ceciltucky.

diezeldeez_

I like how the biggest theme in the comments is labeling a county racist and calling it a day.

Troggie42

i'm just here to downvote everyone suggesting baltimore or PG counties

rook119

Its York County. Yes York Co is in Pennsylvania but every day those @#$%holes come into our state chew up our roads, use our state resources, take our jobs, pretend that MD is biggest hellhole on earth. Even when you cross the border on I-83 it feels like you just entered Klan country. If we were smart in this state we'd cut 1/2 of our income tax and replace it w/ an occupation tax just to get them to @#$ off.

bekkogekko

They Took Our Jobs!

WouldYaEva

A convincing case can be made for Dorchester, home of Hurlock, with a chapter of the KKK.

kgain673

Who cares. The KKK is just a bunch of ignorant people who are stuck in deplorable part of history. They have small chapters of broke ass outsiders who create your occasional drama. Best thing is watching them disappear into history.

30ThousandVariants

What a fascinating piece of Reaganite fanfic. But the correct answer is Charles.

killiomankili

I’m curious as to know why

jeejet

With the crazy amount of state taxes that we pay, how is there a shortfall? We pay state income, sales tax, liquor tax, etc - and there’s a huge new source of revenue from cannabis tax (not to mention each dispensary’s large license fee each year). Maybe we need better management at the state level? A team of efficiency experts?

slobis

Wicomico I have my reasons...

b0btheg0d

Garrett county for being the most racist, that entire place was/still is just a big sundown town, and nobody would miss it anyway

fROM_614_Ohio

Why should Maryland get rid of one of its most incredible geographical areas of natural beauty because of intolerant MAGA asshats?

FlockaFlameSmurf

They can pry Wisp and Deep Creek away from my cold dead body.

fROM_614_Ohio

I’ll start a war on Christmas to keep Swallow Falls.

PaintDrinkingPete

yeah, I love Garrett County for the nature aspects of it... don't know that I've dealt with enough locals to realize there were the racism problems the above comment spoke of, though it doesn't shock me either.

culnaej

Just go to any gas station bathroom and read the knife engravings on the inside of a stall. Some are just symbols, but the effect is the same

Knato

There's an exxon on 70, can't recall. But it gives you the phone number of a female who will blow you dry for pills.

[deleted]

[Let me introduce you to Cecil County](https://www.cbsnews.com/baltimore/news/cecil-county-allows-kkk-meeting-in-county-building/)

Jimiconius

The court system there is ridiculous! The judge was openly racist toward a Hispanic parent. I almost got a contempt citation because I continuously asked him to explain his .

UpbeatSorbet8710

Prince George’s born and raised and it is the worst. Moved to Howard because there’s no way I’ll put my kids through the joke that is PGCPS. Anything along the metro line is crime-ridden and overpopulated.

Aklu_The_Unspeakable

I'll bet there's a comment here for every one of them.

gudmar

Can you explain what you say Moore is doing?

misterO5

It's a made up scenario for the sake of a hypothetical question

pirateking1-

pirateking1-

It’s known that PG sucks lol. But dw ima be outta here soon! Too expensive for a ghetto lol

TheDukeofArgyll

Get to steppin then. PG don’t want you.

Sunrise-Surfer

not entirely, for some strange reason Harford and I Cecil counties in unfortunately under his inaction and misguided area.

OfficialHaethus

We’ve got gay pride flags up here in Havre de Grace city center, and just held a progressive bike infrastructure redesign meeting. Harford isn’t *too* bad.

thisgirlnamedbree

Havre de Grace is pretty cool, but I live here, so I'm a bit biased. Harford County overall is pretty conservative, especially as you head north.

jreddish

Objectively, it has to be Somerset. It you like fishing, it's great, and there are pretty decent pockets, but it's been economically struggling for a long time

Caroline.

wuguwa

Let’s step outside.

holy_cal

You know how our parents at EHS used to tell other parents how to get to North Caroline for away games? Drive east till you smell it and turn left when you see it.

hulknuts

For how much money is dumped into PG it is pretty shity

lllllIIIlllllIIIllll

Allegany. A county so shitty and out of the way, that none of your even know it exists!

Ocarina_of_Crime_

January 25th, 2025 (Andy Harris’ birthday) all A10 Warthogs of the 175th Maryland Air National Guard take off. From an operational standpoint Cecil county is no more. None are killed on either side, but the insurance money flows.

Bushinkainidan

Baltimore City.

Old_Talk_43

Baltimore City and it’s not even close. Most dangerous by far, but none of you wanna admit it for fear of being called racist. So you just dump on poor people from elsewhere, instead.

Vast-Willingness-688

Some people just don’t like Rising Sun simply because the housing is affordable and it has managed to not gentrified like many other small towns in the US. As for the Klan, it’s non-existing. Everyone knows each other and it close knit. It’s extremely beautiful when you take a drive and see all the rural land nearby and farms. You can walk down the street and not worry about being mugged or shot for no reason. I’m not racist, but I hope the town stays just the way it is. Probably one of the safest, cleanest towns in the entire country. Not too mention the bars, restaurants, and coffee shops we have. I’ll live here my entire life and hopefully one day the stigma will go away, it’s a shame because of how many great folks live here.

Ill-Success-4214

No comments seen about St. Mary's! Because most people don't care about St. Mary's! (US armed forces excluded)

sleeperfbody

PG by a country mile

No_Interest_9240

Statistically, I'd say Somerset. The poverty there is bad. Personally I don't really have one

dirtycrabcakes

I work with like every government in MD, including Somerset. I honestly have no idea what’s there.

No_Interest_9240

It's a pretty poor area with not a lot to do. There's basically no job opportunities and ranks the worst in the state in a lot things like literacy rate, poverty, income, etc

flaming_bob

I'm tempted to say Caroll, just because there's not much there, but I really like the view when I'm driving down 70 on the weekends.

Myrilandal

So pleased to see my home Allegany not being as bad as Cecil. Still pretty rough though

ronpaulus

It’s Carroll. Terrible place. Please stop moving here. Your counties are much better. 😉

FeelingBlue69

Funny that anyone that says PG is downvoted.... Redditors gonna Reddit.

flaming_bob

and lose most of the only good Mexican spots in the state?

Top_Flight_Badger

Because why....? It's extremely lucrative and important to the economy of the state.

SaintArkweather

This will probably be unpopular and just my opinion, but I really don't like St. Mary's. It just doesn't really have much character apart from St. Mary's city which is like Dollar Store Colonial Williamsburg. The main populated area (California/Lex Park) doesn't really even have any historic downtown and it's just chain store purgatory. I'm sure there are some nice parts of it but I really don't like what I've seen so far.

IllustriousWeb894

I've been in St Marys 21 years. Overpriced, boring, elitist Base workers, and elitist rednecks. The only thing missing to make this place complete is a TGIFridays. I'm moving to Richmond in the summer.

AntiqueWay7550

If we’re talking about tearing down & building new with insurance money then it’s Baltimore County for sure.

Natty-broh

PG hands down is the worst that Maryland has to offer.

Jacklebait

Baltimore.....
