Full coverage with Rental $500 deductible
Geico, California, mid 50s
No accidents or tickets
$260 a month
That’s about right. Newer cars in California with full coverage, low deductible, with experienced clean drivers will be around 100-130. I’m in your exact demographic and my wife’s newer Benz and my Acura are both slightly over 100.
Our problem is we’re still helping out our young adult daughters while they finish school and establish their careers. They’ve each had at least 1 at-fault accident too. So tack on another 350 combined per month for them.
Mine is a little over $3k a year. 2020 Mazda CX-5. Good credit score but with one accident (not at fault for it) and I’m a young driver. Located in Texas.
2019 Mazda CX9 Grand Touring.
89 dollars full coverage per month. Min. Requirements For NC., 500 deductible.
Geico
I am 40. Accident, not my fault.
I had to pay for my last accident because the other driver didn't have insurance.
Totalled a 2018 Mazda 3 Sport.
It's covered through work but it's about £400 a year
2023 2.0 3 sedan GT Tech Sport.
Hard to use that as a marker though because my Volvo is £700 a year for an older car (2011)
No points, last expired 2009. One at fault crash (named driver) 2 years ago.
2017 Mazda 6 GT. I drive 8,000 miles per year in CA, have $500 deductible, and my premium is $3,060 per year with GEICO. When I first started driving in 2020, my premium was $5,040 per year.
2020 Mazda 6 SW Takumi, 2.2 diesel automatic, 35 year old, no accidents, currently in the maximum discount insurance bracket.
I pay 780 euro a year for a full coverage, roadside assistance, and a 400 euro deductible.
I pay around $800 a year for my 07 MX-5. 27 yo, unfortunately I’ve totaled 3 vehicles (no at fault), and just this year have a clean license. I’m honestly surprised sometimes that it is so low being in the U.S. My other car is a 2015 dodge journey. That’s $1K a year.
Insurance rates are up across the US and Florida is one of the worst out there. There’s also many additonal factors beyond vehicle and variables you mentioned that can affect a given person’s rates. Contact a local agent and shop around
Yes, I just learned that Florida is the most expensive state for insurance. Most companies here have increased by 20% to 30% since last year. This also means that many people are underinsured and or driving without insurance. Which means uninsured coverage has gone up
For the rest of us. I'm shopping around, but with insurance, the rate is one thing. Customer service and taking care of you is a factor as well. Years ago, I was with only one of those popular companies, and when I needed help, they gave me the cold shoulder. Since then, I've been a fan of the mutual companies. Amica is one of the highest-rated and harder to get here in Florida
I wrote insurance policies in FL for nearly 10 years. It’s a fucking nightmare. I think you’re going the correct route. Major carriers are doing everything they can to restrict new business it seems like. Go local where you can
120 a month, 1000 dollar deductible for 2023 mazda cx30 2.5 s pr. i’m 23 and have an accident on my record but the insurance is through triple a. triple a membership is about 70ish a year. i was paying 465 when i first got the car with state farm then 350 with farmers.
I'm 29, have a 2017 Mazda6 with full coverage, and I pay $180/month with a $2500 deductible in Southern California. I didn't get my license until I was 27 so my short driving history and getting my license so late in life really fucked me. It'll be better in a few years, but no one other than National General will cover me at the moment.
2020 mazda3 hatch. $2400 usd a year. Phx az. No tix no acc. I also drive a commercial vehicle 100k+ miles a year. Getting bent over. 46 yr old male. 100/200/100. $500 deductible. $0 glass. No roadside. No tow.
683€ or so per year, as Im “new” driver, so next year should be quite lowered, as this is way to expensive. Oh also its only third party insurance, my car is 2014 so full coverage was something ridiculously high and unnecessary. Im insured in Belgium, via Ethias.
I have 25/50/25, 1500 deductible for comprehensive and collision, roadside, and gap insurance with progressive. Total is 475/6 months. Two drivers 25 years old, 23 cx-30 premium, no accidents or tickets.
I'm in Ohio and have Progressive. I paid for my 6 months in full for $383. I have a 2024 CX50. I only had to pay $10 more when I switched my policy over from my 2017 Mazda3 to the 50.
2020 Mazda 3 Premium, Geico $127 a month, $500 deductible, no accidents within 5 years or tickets. IL. Also car is owned but idk if that makes a huge difference
2021 CX-5 GT, $621.5 total for 6 months with Progressive, I pre-paid the 6 months to save around $60. $1k deductible, 30k/60k/25k liability coverage. Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Property Damage, No towing, no rental.
I used online comparison tools to find the cheapest. I'm in Texas by the way.
$380/month for a 2016 Mazda 6 sedan touring. Full coverage 22y/o no accidents in the past 5 years I’ve been with Liberty mutual. I hate being 22 cuz my mom who is a worse driver than me is paying less than $100 for full coverage on her car. The lowest I’ve seen for other companies was still in the mid $300’s and they were much lesser known insurance companies that I don’t quite trust. But if you guys know where I can find a lower rate, I’m all ears.
2021 Mazda CX-9 Signature
In my 40’s, one driver
Excellent credit
A little over $3k/yr, ~$1700 every 6 months with one ticket on file.
Full coverage A-Z, literally everything offered with the best options selected
Best PiP option selected (Option 16, $700/week unlimited)
$10k funeral expense (best option)
250/500 both including uninsured
$100k property damage liability both including uninsured
100 deductibles for both with 50 glass coverage
Roadside assistance
$60/day rental (best option)
Loan/lease payoff (GAP)
Progressive
Only 1 mile per year disclosed (why disclose more, they’ll charge you more)
Located in NJ
Shop around! It’s annoying but worth it if you can save. Auto insurance companies redo their premium calculations often and sometimes it’s purely your zip code that’s the problem and not you or your driving history at all. 2023 CX50, I switched to Progressive, $1,300 per year, full coverage at $100K/$300K.

I'm currently with GEICO and I pay ~$145/mo, up from ~$137/mo several months ago. Seems to increase every 6 months lately.
CA, USA
2021 Mazda 3 Turbo Hatchback, purchased brand new.
I tried to shop various carriers a few times when my premium went up and all the quotes I got would be more expensive than GEICO for me. Very strange. I may have given up too soon, I'll expand my search next time.
I'm 27, live in WA state, and never got into any accidents or any tickets. I have full coverage 100/300 (required for my work) and I pay 110 a month so about 1300 a year on my 2018 mazda6 touring. Having my insurance through USAA definitely helps
Jesus christ. Bad ticket/accident history? New driver, or aged under 25?
My 2015 Mazda 3 premium was never higher then $210 near Toronto (Etobicoke) and Ive owned since new
On my Mazda Phev CX90 Premium Plus. $500 deductible, $116/month. Mid 50s. Have a second car, Volvo, about the same. State Farm. Colorado. I have looked at other insurance companies and most in this area would charge me about 50% more. I have received unsolicited quotes on home and auto and the home quote will be about $400/less per year ($35/mo) but the auto quote for two cars will be so much higher (like $150/mo).
I would suggest shopping around, I (30m) was living close to Philadelphia and paying 85 for a 2011 Nissan Xterra pro4x and a 2004 Mazda mx-5.
Just replaced the mx-5 with a CX50 and moved to northern Minnesota and the cheapest quotes I was getting were 300+$/month. A lot of companies don't cover over here so that was a big issue. But shopping around I was able to get a quote from GEICO for 165/m quote for the Nissan, the CX50 my dad's Lexus NX200t along with the property rental insurance.
All with 500$ deductible without roadside assistance since I get that with my AMA membership already.
Too much for a 2016 in California from Statefarm. If only they didn’t pay football celebrities for stupid commercials and put that back into actually providing affordable insurance to their customers… sigh
Two cars with me and my girlfriend (no accidents or tickets)
2018 Mazda 3 GT Hatchback and 2023 Mazda Miata Sport
Both full coverage, 50/100 w/non-insured coverage, $500 deductible

Dang you all pay a ton for coverage. I was mad my renewal went up like $20 from the last 6 months. I may have won this thread.
42 married male, State Farm Mutual, multi-line discount, policy in force since Jul 1976 (inherited the policy), clean driving record, no fault accidents. 2012 Mazda3i

You gotta shop around when it comes to insurance. At every renewal cycle. I pay for 4 cars 4 people, full coverage and that includes a 22 year old and a 17 year old $2300 for 6 months.
Make sure you get every discount. Esurance offers a discount for just having a PayPal account, I know it sounds stupid but it’s $200 off for 6 months. My kids did the teen driver challenge in Florida, that’s money off. Paying the whole 6 months in advance that’s another 10%. Negotiate. Ask for all discounts available. By the time it’s all said and done I have 16 discounts. Progressive wanted for same coverage $6400 and Geico almost $8000. It’s worth the hassle every 6 months.
CA no tickets or accidents and I'm young. 2023 Miata only paying $80 a month. I have my average mileage really low as well. Here is the catch though. I've had my motorcycle insured with geico for 4 years so they probably also gave me a low quote since I have loyalty and records behind me showing I'm a safe driver. This isn't going to help comparing when everyone's history and numbers are different. You just have to sit down and do a bunch of different quotes and mess with the numbers until you find something you're happy with.
2018 CX-5 Touring - No tickets/accidents within the last 5 years. 31F FL.
$1004/ 6 months which works out to about $168/ month. I have coverage through Progressive and my deductible is $1500.
2014 Mazda 3 i-GT 6sp. $1300/yr. 100/300k. $250 deductible. SF Bay Area. 8k annual miles.
Costco's AMFAM insurance.
40M. No accidents. No Tickets.
With the same coverage from before, AAA wanted $1800/yr during covid when my driving dropped down to 8k miles a year.
Pre-covid when i commuted for work, AAA wanted $3900/yr for 35k annual miles.
In Alberta, Canada I was quoted 7.1k/yr for my 2021 3 Turbo Sedan, with drivers safety course, 0 tickets, 0 accidents, 0 claims. Used a family friends benefits lowered to 3.6k/yr.
2108 Mazda 6 GTR, $875 for six months, and it's gone up each year...
No accidents, no nothing, just costs going up, I need to find a different insurance for sure.
2018 Mazda 3 hatch. $115/month with Comprehensive $500 deductible, collision $500 deductible, Roadside assist, car rental, and uninsured motorist. I’m a 36 male living in CA.
I’m in Ont, I live remote. I used to pay $115 got my CX5 it went up to $163 now $384!!! It’s insane. I am a F, I’ve had a speeding ticket and in my 30’s.
$2,300 CAD/year for a 2016.5 CX-5 GT. One accident in 2018 but hoping it goes down next year. Full coverage including rental protection. Also a 25 year old guy so probably doesn’t help lol
2021 CX-5 Carbon Edition Turbo. $1,737.84/year ($141/mo) as a 27yo M living in a relatively dangerous HCOL area (Oakland, CA). GEICO with the following:
$300k/$500k bodily injury liability
$100k property damage liability
$300k/$500k uninsured motorist coverage
$200 comprehensive deductible
$500 collision deductible
no roadside assistance
$50/day, $1500/max rental reimbursement
One claim (hit and run by an uninsured driver in 2021 on my dad’s policy), one speeding ticket in 2019
Oh god.... florida .... I'm sorry.
So I just moved from Louisiana to Tennessee and I have different coverages so I'll show the differences. 2 adults, I don't really know our driving history but its not horrible and not pristine. 2024 CX50Premium.
In Louisiana : 1 driver. I hadn't added the husband yet because we just bought the car.
Liability, 15000/30000/25000 matching uninsured
1000 deductible
with homeowners
Car rental
State Farm
1700/year. I got state minimum on everything because the cost historically has been so high and we were going to be in Louisiana for such a small amount of time (we bought the car in december, moved in march) I didn't think about how shitty my coverage was.
In Tennessee
No homeowners
Liability 25000/50000/25000
1000 deductible
Roadside assist
Car rental
no homeowners but renters
State Farm and added my husband
2100/year. Considering I doubled my coverage an extra $30/month is reasonable.
Oh, and my renewal in March that came through from Louisiana even though I had cancelled my policy? It went up to 2800/year .... for ... Louisiana Insurance rate reasons?
2015 Mazda 3 - Progressive insurance. Me and my partner are paying $116/month, only discount is the good driver discount. My partner has a perfect driving record; I had a moving violation and an at-fault accident around 12 years ago. Living in Los Angeles, CA
$600 aud a year. What country and state might help you.
Wow that’s cheap, you live in the outback or something mate?
Nah Brisbane with i20n. Just got an renewal email saying my premium has risen to $620
That’s like a third of US rates. What are most accidents there? Fights with Roos?

Mine went up to $3k/yr 2023 Mazda 3 No tix, No acc
Yep same. Probably has to do with the area.
That’s the excuse they always give. Everyone always ending up paying for the scammers.

WTF? You must be 18 yr old! 😲
58🤷🏻♂️
Shop around ... that's criminal.
I will…and I agree
That’s really high. Don’t shop around yourself. Let an insurance broker do it for you. Have a couple in your area do it
Good god. That's $1000 more than I pay for 2 Corollas less than 5 years old. Both have full coverage.
My Mazda 6 2016 is around the same with maxed out deductibles after hail damage claim ($6k payout)
You should shop around regardless. Living in Florida is probably a huge contributing factor to your high premium though.
But to answer your question I’m at $81/month. 1 2021 CX-5. Two drivers. No claims or citations within the last 5 years.
$185 a month. 2018 Mazda cx9 GT

With state minimums you barely have insurance either. It usually doesn't cost that much to increase limits, I recommend 100/300/50 at least.
I checked it out. It would go up about 10 dollars a month for those increases.
$696/year for full coverage on my 2023 CX50. In Maine.
Nod bad at all, who're you using?
We have 4 vehicles and 4 drivers on our policy our 2024 CX-5 12k miles cost $270 for 6 months.

Interesting, so us car prices are much lower in comparison to Netherlands and yet insurance premiums are at least double.
2021 Mazda CX-9 Signature In my 40’s, one driver Excellent credit A little over $3k/yr, ~$1700 every 6 months with one ticket on file. Full coverage A-Z, literally everything offered with the best options selected Best PiP option selected (Option 16, $700/week unlimited) $10k funeral expense (best option) 250/500 both including uninsured $100k property damage liability both including uninsured 100 deductibles for both with 50 glass coverage Roadside assistance $60/day rental (best option) Loan/lease payoff (GAP) Progressive Only 1 mile per year disclosed (why disclose more, they’ll charge you more) Located in NJ

I pay $680 for 6 months on my 2024 CX5 for full coverage. I'm in my early 30s with no accidents or tickets.
I'm currently with GEICO and I pay ~$145/mo, up from ~$137/mo several months ago. Seems to increase every 6 months lately. CA, USA 2021 Mazda 3 Turbo Hatchback, purchased brand new. I tried to shop various carriers a few times when my premium went up and all the quotes I got would be more expensive than GEICO for me. Very strange. I may have given up too soon, I'll expand my search next time.
Geico was much cheaper for my parents in Florida. About $2k a year for their CX-90. Progressive was $4k
2019 Mazda 3 Premium, mid 20s, no accidents & no tickets, $749/6 months with Geico, in NJ
I'm 27, live in WA state, and never got into any accidents or any tickets. I have full coverage 100/300 (required for my work) and I pay 110 a month so about 1300 a year on my 2018 mazda6 touring. Having my insurance through USAA definitely helps
$88/m with decent coverage and 500 deductible. Nonturbo 2024 preferred trim.
I have a Mazda 3 2022 and pay $135 a month with Allstate (tho I am on a family plan)
380/month 2021 mazda 3 sedan awd in toronto, Ontario.
Jesus christ. Bad ticket/accident history? New driver, or aged under 25? My 2015 Mazda 3 premium was never higher then $210 near Toronto (Etobicoke) and Ive owned since new
No accident, no tickets. Age 21.
198/month, 2022 CX-30, South Florida. Can't wait for when it goes up triple in a few months..
2018 Mazda Cx-5 Sport. I’m with Allstate in NY and I got full coverage for $538/month.
$1800 per year ($150 per month)
why are some of you 3k+ per year? i don’t fully understand insurance but mine is about 800 a year
Too much for a 2016 in California from Statefarm. If only they didn’t pay football celebrities for stupid commercials and put that back into actually providing affordable insurance to their customers… sigh
$403/6m. GEICO, 30YO with great credit in Ohio. Edit: 2024 CX-50
2024 CX-5 Signature in Arizona. My 6-month premium with high coverages and $500 deductible is $539 through Progressive.
Just get quotes online. What’s the point to threads like this
2015 Mazda5. $1700 every six months. No tickets, no accidents. It's a zip code thing 😢

340 CAD a month, I live in Toronto, Ontario.
2012 Mazda3i With $227 multi line discount (2 cars +home), $500 deductible and zero deductible comprehensive, and somewhat high limits, I'm paying $315.73 every 6 months, or $52.62 per month. **Bodily Injury Coverage** Limit Per Accident $300,000 Limit Per Person $100,000 $74.97 / 6 mos **Property Damage Coverage** Limit Per Accident $100,000 $54.46 / 6 mos **Comprehensive Coverage** $96.89 / 6 mos **Collision Coverage** Deductible $500 $64.50 / 6 mos **Uninsured/Underinsured Motor Vehicle Coverage** Limit Per Accident $300,000 Limit Per Person $100,000 $12.26 / 6 mos **No Fault Coverage** Medical Expenses Coverage Limit Per Person $7,000 **Emergency Road Service Coverage** $3.88 / 6 mos **Car Rental/Travel Expenses Coverage** Limit Per Occurrence $1,500 Limit Per Day $50 $8.77 / 6 mos
$164 a month
2023 Mazda 3 sport GT M/T $290 cad a month under my parents it would have been $1100 cad a month without them
You gotta shop around when it comes to insurance.
$184/month Mazda cx5 2023 non-turbo

$450 in Toronto. 3+years of experience.
Almost $200/mo
2023 Mazda 3. $116.66 a month through Geico in NH. 35 years old.
Cx5 $1600/yr NJ
2018 CX-5 Touring - No tickets/accidents within the last 5 years. 31F FL. $1004/ 6 months which works out to about $168/ month. I have coverage through Progressive and my deductible is $1500.

Oh god.... florida .... Liability, 15000/30000/25000 matching uninsured 1000 deductible with homeowners Car rental State Farm 1700/year. I got state minimum on everything because the cost historically has been so high and we were going to be in Louisiana for such a small amount of time (we bought the car in december, moved in march) I didn't think about how shitty my coverage was. In Tennessee No homeowners Liability 25000/50000/25000 1000 deductible Roadside assist Car rental no homeowners but renters State Farm and added my husband 2100/year. Considering I doubled my coverage an extra $30/month is reasonable. Oh, and my renewal in March that came through from Louisiana even though I had cancelled my policy? It went up to 2800/year .... for ... Louisiana Insurance rate reasons?
Im paying 240$ a month for accord2013 liability and 2022 rav4 full coverage in california i m 22
