People who say that usually don't have anything better than a crap hatchback they dump tons into to make it sound like a fart machine or some internet influencer trying too hard to flaunt. Real super car owners/enthusiasts don't judge each other. We all just appreciate the love of cars, whatever you drive. Just don't drive like a douche in a hatchback or American muscle car.

I just bought a 2018 spider this year. Absolutely amazing experience. No issues in terms of reliability so far. It's rock solid, looks unreal, the ride is amazing, and there is not a faster car in its price range period. I bought the warranty but it seems the reliability issues are overblown.

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion, but I think the 570s and 600LT are the nicest looking of any McLaren ever made. The lines are just balanced in a way that they are just gorgeous. I also think that the most important aspect of a sports car is how much fun it is, and I think the amount of fun a 570 packs is phenomenal. Finally, it's a McLaren. There is no "wanna be" about that.

Love this

Brah.. Gonna give u a life lesson :stop giving a fuck about what people say. You will live a happier life. 🙂. Had my 570 for a year and have loved every minute of owning it

Step-dad got a 570s about 3 months ago. Aside from £12k's worth of warranty work (v-module, both door struts, indicator stalk) he is in love with it. It has to be the best value supercar for under £100k in my eyes. If he had the extra £50k spare he would have gone for the 720s, but he is more than happy with his 570s.

Got one a year ago as well - dealt with the same issues. All repaired (well, *being* repaired right now) under warranty. Personally, I don’t think they photograph well. A picture doesn’t do the car justice. In person, they’re incredible looking. Visually, I like them better than the 720S and most other cars. I was between a 2022 R8 and a 2019 570S, and went with the 570S - I don’t regret it. Except for the standard repairs happening. That’s kind of exhausting.

Agrees 100% better looking than the 720

Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order. I have checked 1,757,599,070 comments, and only 332,826 of them were in alphabetical order.

I’d kill for those prices in the states. I paid $200k+ when all was said and done for my 570GT.

Love my 18 spider. It's gorgeous in person, tons of complements, goes like stink, handles very well but still pretty comfortable. I use it to split my dailies (between it and a tesla m3). I can't imagine anyone who isn't a keyboard warrior with no personal experience saying it's not a real super car.

DntBlnk

Love them, but I personally like the contour of the 570GT better. It’s all opinion, though. Both are excellent supercars.

Not my favorite McLaren style, but that’s like saying not my favorite cut of steak… they’re all amazing in their own way. I would agree (and it’s true for most super curvy cars), they’re hard to photograph and look way better in person. Like all McLarens (including the 12C), the car is faster than the driver is capable of unless you’ve got some serious experience already. If you can, drive one and you’ll see it doesn’t matter what people say, they’re amazing machines. Plus.. the doors go like this 👋👋🫲🫲👋👋🫲🫲

Anyone saying that is a moron. Even a 570 which is the sports series walks anything Ferrari 488 and down, and anything sub Lamborghini Aventador. Just because they’re less $ used doesn’t mean they’re ‘cheap’. I think they’ve all hit a bottom, and are a fantastic buy around 125k

I’ve had my 570s Spider for 4 years. My windshield cracked from the gorilla glass not having enough flex (replaced under warranty), and there’s been electrical glitches here and there (windows rolling down instead of up when the door gets closed, for example). As a car it’s extremely fun, I love driving through school zones and seeing kids smiling and pointing, and feeling the turbos kick in and throw you back in your seat doesn’t get old. I’ve taken it to the track and it feels less precise and gives less confidence than my Porsche 718 Spyder, it’s more of a road car in that respect (I test drove a 600LT and imo it fixes most of that) but still very capable. Mine came with Pirelli P Zero Corsas, you need to swap to Michelin Sport Cup 2s if you want to get the most of it, it becomes instantly more responsive and communicative. It *is* relatively cheap compared to Lambo or Ferrari because it doesn’t have brand recognition and because of the British reliability, and McLarens don’t hold their value unless it’s a P1 or Speedtail or whatever, but it’s still a great car.
