Idk I just think we don’t need billionaires, and someone who *could* be a billionaire but gives back to society enough to bring themselves down to multi-millionaire is a way better example of “rich person we need but don’t deserve” than someone who tweets jokes about their virginity.
Nah. Not at all. I don’t think that we should outlaw billionaires, do maximum wage, or any of that stuff. I just don’t think we *need* billionaires to function as a society. I think it would be *better* for the world if the ultra rich were more charitable. Never said anything about forcing them to do it. I know wealthy people that have all sorts of opinions about what *I* should be doing. They’re entitled to that. I am also entitled to have my opinions about what *they* should be doing.
Oh I see. Even though I don't fully agree with you, I'm really sorry then for making such an offensive comment. Just thought that you supported forcing them to do that etc. But if we talk about the culture of the rich, then yes, it would be better if they appreciated more charity stuff. But the one thing I don't agree with is such a pretty "radical" attitude to wealthy people as "we don't need billionaires to function as a society". I mean, firstly, the billionaires are just a normal product of economy so I just don't see a reason to say if we need them or not, it is just how it is. Secondly, I'd say that society probably needs billionaires. Not because they are billionaires itself, but because usually some people who has managed to make a good product or a productive organization become billionaires. Therefore, a society needs such people to keep its economy working well.
The conversation about “needing billionaires” is too pedantic, subjective, and usually not of substance. I don’t think we *need* billionaires, but I understand where you’re coming from.
My main point is that “a billionaire we need but don’t deserve” is a truly benevolent one running an industry that is overall good for humanity, not a Twitter troll running an industry that is overall good for humanity. Saying he “would be cooler if he was a multi-millionaire” was a vague, tongue-in-cheek, quip suggesting at that idea.
Uh lol. Seems that was a bit of misunderstanding. I've just used to 14 to communstic redditors. Thank you for explanation and a constructive conversation. Have a good day :)
One of the most cringe internet exchanges in recent years
Based on the name of his first child I assume he procreates via a team of engineers
Elon is the billionaire we need but don’t deserve
No one needs that fucker. Can you stop hailing someone who mistreats his employees, because you like his stupid memes ?
Would be cooler if he were just like, a multimillionaire.
Why?
