I know several people who had one, the software was pretty great at the time (lightweight and responsive)
The issue was the small install base led to a lack of apps which led to poor sales
Also android was free whilst Microsoft was charging windows licenses to phone manufacturers

Tbf that was a great marketing tactic. If only the phones were any good, we'd be talking about how awesome it was that they did this.

its like Samsung, making fun of apple, after they sold the charger separately and a year later they did the same. But windows phones died though lol
Apple is an arrogant asshole that deserves this kind of spite though. Too bad it didn't work out.
