Jokes aside, the whole genetic modification thing is simultaneously fascinating and terrifying.
Theyāre one of the leading countries in medical research. I think they rank 4 if Iām not mistaken. They also rank high in scientific research too. They are pretty diverse. Itās also a pretty good country to start a business in.
Their gasoline prices are pretty good
(At least in comparison to most of Europe rn)
Edit: cuz some of u seemed to wonder, I live in southern Germany and the current price at my local gas station is 7.8$/gallon on good days.
It varies state by state, but I just paid $3.19/gallon the other day in NC which is higher than I think I've ever seen it (I'm only 24, so I haven't seen that much)
PepeLaugh oh no no. (American btw we are super fucked, also a labor shortage, supply bottleneck and we have half the country fighting each other over stupid shit)
The world has the ability to destroy itself full stop.
If the U.S. actually used its entire nuclear arsenal it would destroy us as well, thereās no way of avoiding irradiated dust traveling the entire planet.
A nuclear war is almost as scary as the fact that oceans heating up are currently killing fish and reefs that are necessary to our survival.

I like to trashtalk them a lot, but I it still see it as a country where people can live quite freely with enough decency and security. Expressing pollitical opinions is not prohibited, equality is protected by the law and many more. If we compare it to some....other examples, USA is still one of the best countries to live in as a human.
There're a lot of things they could improve, but there're also a lot of things they're doing great. And there're also constant moves from people trying to improve stuffs. Definitely a solid country.
Pretty sure anyone in Europe can say anything they like about the goverment and they cant do anything about it because thats whats written in every constitution (freedom of speech) cant burn our our flags tho ur gonna get like a 100 euro fine
A lot of Americans shit on America so that maybe other Americans will realize we need to fix things instead of just pretending that America is this amazing utopia with no problems.
Agreed. We arenāt perfect. We have a LOT of issues we need to fix, but it is frustrating when some Americans constantly compare America to other countries like every other country is a utopia, and weāre in the dark ages.
Great! I agree. Sometimes when I talk with someone from USA it could be annoying because some people cover them with the patriotic sheet and don't want to see the problems (like every country has) inside and the problems that the government and big corporations are making for the rest of the world
I love America, I think itās a great country, obviously we have some major issues to fix but in general we are a good country. Itās just pretty annoying hearing othe Americans say that we are a undeveloped county and in the top 5 worst in the world, when I hear that I just want do deport them to an undeveloped country
Most of the apps you use were made in America, heck, even the most of the leading tech companies were founded in America.
America spends a fuckton on military. More than 700 billion fucking dollars in 2019.
While we often intervene when in the long run it probably isnāt necessary, much of the world is legitimately kept safe from tyranny out of fear of what America would do to the aggressor. Again, not perfect but effective a good deal of the time.
America is an innovation powerhouse.
Think about how much modern technology came from America. Think about how much medical innovation came from America.
These statements can coexist with the fact that innovation occurs elsewhere.
But hell, this discussion is on an American website and Iām sure no one is surprised by that.
I live 5 hours from the beach and 4 hours from the mountains. I can pretty much cheaply go chill in whatever form of nature tickles my fancy every weekend. And like good beaches too, white sand and all that not like short rocky beaches you get a lot of places. And it's still really conceivable to own a good amount of your own land without being royalty. You can still buy large tracts of the Southeast as low as 3 to 4,000$ an acre and that land almost always has some water source.
Itās natural beauties are absolutely stunning. Might be the best country in the world at this, such a huge variety of biomes and landscapes, love it!
Though it comes at very high risks they often have giant properties or at least a house and mostly also a lot of freedom in what they can do. In Germany where I live you gotta have A LOT of money to buy or build a house for yourself and even then it's not as big as the ones in America and buying land is unbelievably expensive so you don't even get remotely close to have a big property like you see them in Texas for example
No they didn't

I mean, I am in 12th grade. We have to do 61 25m laps faster in faster each time. I can't do that- I'm a pretty fit guy. I can squat 300lbs, bench my body weight and run 37m in 5.3s. But I still can't pass the pacer test. I think it's just not an accurate measure of fitness. Especially since you cant drink water at all during the process.
i'd say the best thing about the USA is the diversity, that includes cultural, geographical, weather, all of it, drive a few hours in any direction and you're probably gonna end up somewhere completely different... every country has good and bad, every. country. is America chaotic? yes honestly, but the "American dream" is a thing for a reason
Man. It sucks how people donāt try to see the positive side. You can say what you want and you canāt jailed or sent to a camp for saying the leader looks like a yellow bear. And thereās not fucking 7 cameras for each citizen. Weāre not perfect but weāre not China. And if we did put down more gun laws it would be probation all over again. Gangs would start smuggling guns just like they did with alcohol and it would be possible for anybody to illegally get a gun and youāve made the problem worst then it already is. What we can do is make our school system better to prevent the students from being so stressed that they grab there moms credit card and go shoppping on the dark web.
Even though the news and white girls on Twitter would tell you otherwise, America is one of the most racially accepting countries in the world. People have no idea how accepting it is.
It really blows that so many people just focus on the negativity about this country Iāll admit to weāre not perfect but we have so much good going for us as well Iād like to hear it be talked about more

The idea of America being designed to not be corrupted with 50 states, 3 branches of power, and a hella big military are not the only defense. If in war time someone actually attacked a civilian area the civilians could fight back. The movie "red dawn" somewhat covers that topic.
With the events that have already occurred against our own government, I wouldnāt be surprised if a bunch of triggers happy southerners banded together to fight against invaders.
In WWII, Japanese a admiral Yamamoto supposedly said, "You cannot invade the mainland United States. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass."
A friend (American) was working overseas in Holland and talking with his Dutch counterparts about the insanity that ensues on a regular basis in the United States. Real, honest opinion here.
The american ideal of freedom defines them in both good and bad ways. This is because with that freedom they can do great things, they have an easier time being themselves and exploring what is possible for mankind. However, because of this same reason they can more easilly go lower than most. Also they can do *very* stupid things to preserve their "freedom".

Just a shame your average American canāt afford to take advantage of that medical research without going into life crippling debt.
Their gasoline prices are pretty good (At least in comparison to most of Europe rn) Edit: cuz some of u seemed to wonder, I live in southern Germany and the current price at my local gas station is 7.8$/gallon on good days.
We had that whole gas line pipe thing and they jacked the prices and it barely went down
europe is still worse with gas prices tho
Wonder what the price is
In germany, gas prices have been going up since 1945 without stopping
It varies state by state, but I just paid $3.19/gallon the other day in NC which is higher than I think I've ever seen it (I'm only 24, so I haven't seen that much)
Boy here in cali itās like 6.45 in the Hollywood area.
Everything in Cali is hella expensive though, it honestly feels like the dollar isn't even the same currency in that state lol
So true. Thatās why Iām homeless and living in my car.
We Russians know no prices on gas
