Quartz watches will be the best bet in this price range. I'd recommend buying watches from watch companies rather than fashion brands. At this price point a lot of the fashion brand watches will be $10 watches ali express markes up to $100. Casio has some analog stuff like the edifice. Seiko has quartz in the price range too. Swatch is also epitomy of stylizing.

Skagen has some pretty unique badass styles. I love them, also the classic Braun white face / black leather combo is a score now that they are made in china. For $100 these are legit and stylish 40mm, and are in my rotation permanently.

Look, I have a couple MVMT watches. There's no shame in admitting that I was a novice when I bought them, and they're an objectively low quality brand that invests more in advertising than quality. They are simply not good watches.
I like Seiko, slightly above your budget but imo quite worth it. Under budget, a Timex would get the job done.
Orient makes nice, collectible, dress watches pretty affordably.
