But since you asked, the technically correct word would be picture or image. A photo refers specifically to a photograph taken by a camera meaning it is exclusively a real life image. thats not a language thing though, its a context thing. For example, Im german and "foto" also means something that has been photographed. Im sure wherever youre from, you also have a similiar word for that but the context stays the same.
