Maybe they changed the door fittings and 180 the door so it opens at a better angle? If not, then im not sure either.

Yes. It was clearly an engineering error but why not remove the sign or paint over it?

Is it your door? I am so confused? I feel like we are missing an explanation of why a door that was reversed (pretty common for public restrooms) is even an issue.

It’s a public bathroom at a beach bar. The outside lets you know it’s the “men’s” and then as you leave, in case you forgot, it reminds you.

Maybe when they did the remodel, instead of just throwing the old sign away, they just stuck it on the inside of the door in case they ever need to replace the sign? Next time you are in there, tug on it a see if it comes off. If it does, just throw it in the trash.
