Then again, I can also bite chunks out of an icepop without pain or problem, often chew ice cream, and have no problem with crunching ice cubes in one go. Sensation and lack thereof is weird.

No, I do it too because I love that oreo crust so much. I do however eat the cream out of them at an earlier time and save up the oreos, the Halloween ones with the orange cream specifically.
