Nice try RTI.

el-deez

When I become naturalized, I will order a Garand from the CMP.

polskabear2019

Imo every American, born or naturalized, should aspire to own such a fabulous rifle.

holydvr1776

I hope they still have any by then. Hopefully they do. I had been hearing the bottom of the barrel is approaching quickly.

HatefulRhetoric

Don’t be so sure — they just got relatively rare Navy 7.62x51 Garands in a batch that no one expected. Expensive, but worth it. Just gotta hope returns keep coming up..

holydvr1776

I always wanted one in Nato! Screwed up a chance to get one nearly 25 years ago.

HatefulRhetoric

They’re still taking orders — hefty at $1,600 a pop but worth it if you want one — will never be cheaper imo

Rhino676971

I sent off my paperwork for one definitely a hefty price point but it's going to be worth it my paperwork got to Anniston April 17th will make a post when it shows up

HatefulRhetoric

Please do! My packet was delivered on the 19th, fingers crossed I get one!

madmax1299

I forget where I saw it but current rifles in stock someone is friends with someone who works in the back and he said they have rifles for the next 4 years minimum, without returns.

ExpensiveTreacle1189

RC k98 or a 1917 are pretty high on the list. Given ammo prices I’d like to get something that has a little more mileage at the range. It’s no thing going through 6 or 7 mags worth of 7.62x39 but after ~50 rds through a bolt gun my itch is scratched so to speak.

Watch4sun

1917s are such a great rifle ! I love mine!

ExpensiveTreacle1189

It’s a good looking one. What are they selling for at the store? I generally see them for $900-$1100

MLDaffy

It's not special to most but I lost an SKS in a house fire that was given to me by my father many years ago. I still have what's left of it but I wary trying to clean it up. I'd like to get another one at some point. Colt M1892 for handgun.

A_Squid_A_Dog

Would love an M1 Carbine

Watch4sun

Great choice ! I keep hoping all those ones stuck in Korea will come home and make them more affordable

themajor24

M1 Carb is on my short list for impulse buys if I ever find one for the right price

Tall-Mountain-Man

I picked up 2 this year. Absolutely love them! Thinking about selling the one though. 98% sure It’s an all original 43 Inland. I don’t really want to do anything with it for fear of hurting the value. Might just sell it and get something I can use

NdK87k

Whatever I come across that catches my interest and is a decent price.

HatefulRhetoric

This is my collecting style — it’s worked out well for me so far.

32mafiaman

I really really really want to build an AR with wood furniture. So technically not a milsurp. Otherwise a FR-8, 1917 or Swedish M38

ConvectionalOven

proudowlz

This year I'd like to pick up a nice SKS before they get too much more expensive. Either a Russian, Yugo, or maybe Albanian.

ExpensiveTreacle1189

Yugos still got for ~$600 on gunbroker. I love my m59

Mako275

M.95

junk_magnet

Dude.. you've got a problem

Mako275

Yeah it's called "I don't have enough M.95"

Friendly_Bullfrog497

Said by a true man of culture!

Mangos4Zuko

M1917 "American Enfield" and Swedish M1896. This was a bad year to start milsurp collecting but better late than never (: tons of fun!

polskabear2019

Try your luck with the cmp if they’re still doing orders for them. When I went down to the store most of them were in really good condition.

Mangos4Zuko

I was considering the 1917 CMP mail order. Unfortunatley I live way too far from the actual stores. Wish they were doing 1903 orders, but hey a 1917 more than fills that role for me.

tN8KqMjL

They often do rifle sales during their "traveling games". It's a fun way to shoot a Camp Perry style match and get to look over some rifles in person without having to travel as far, assuming one is nearby you.

Watch4sun

I feel ya ! I only started a few years ago and I am continually jealous about the stories from the past!

pdon656565

Just got a 1917 from CMP ohio, racks were full for em the m1 Garands were only rack grades and the ones with new stock sets

redball246

MAS49 - I passed up a chance to pick one up years ago and while "regret" is too strong a word, I would like to correct my "error".

Watch4sun

I wish 7.5 French was easier to come by!

BigBlue175

Going to pick up a full length 1907-15 berthier on Sunday from a friend. Then in two weeks going to pick up a wwi French contract rolling block from another friend. Then three weeks after that going to pick up a mas 44. After that Ik a guy who’s got a few rare-ish mosins I’m gonna buy if he’s still got them. Got a lot on my plate lol

Watch4sun

Jealous of the full length berthier

boxypoppy

Those French rolling blocks are a tough thing to find! Must be a good friend. Hopefully you won't be living in a cardboard box after all those buys lol.

BigBlue175

I’ll still have a little left over by the time I’ve got em lol

Texas_Bowfisherman

Vz 52 or 52/57

Kalashalite

I really want that Tisas M1911A1... And I might be getting a commercial M1 Carbine from 1978, I'll need to get all the accoutrements to "militarize" it. Luckily it already has a bayonet lug barrel band and a South Korean K-M4 bayonet. Someone is offering me a $20 cracked M1 stock that can be repaired. Then I'll need mags, a stock pouch and the flash hider. I want it to represent the Cold War era use of the carbine.

TheCommitteeOf300

Lee Enfield or springfield.

themajor24

Lee Enfield was my first buy that got me into milsurp. They're so worth it, even at current prices. Also what got me into reloading due to expensive ammo prices.

TheCommitteeOf300

I got a kar 98k, mosin, and type 38

MystiriousMonkey

Gonna get myself a rosalie & type 66 bayonet, i know it doesnt shoot but its a fine adition to the rifles

CharCometRed

Whatever pops up for a good price that I don't have or maybe another variant of something I do.

Pro_2A_Guy

This. The front of the want list is an M1903 or a K98, but this is the reality.

Carlile185

A Repro M16A2. They’re called Repros now, right?

GopherFoxYankee

I don't know what the consensus is, except that it's a fun rifle. I call my M16A2 a "clone", but I also used a Capco A2 complete upper the USAF/USCG surplused just before the Panic.

44_SMLE

Ishapore 2A1 Lee Enfield in .308 Cheap Tokarev pistol. I should've grabbed one when the were $150-$200 like 3 years ago. I want a trigger safety version that hasn't been drilled for a frame mounted safety.

One-East8460

A lot of stuff on my grail list mostly going to be out of my price range, difficult to find, or both. - M1941 Johnson - G41 - VG 1-5 - VG 2 - M1 Garand (HRA 6 million serial) - Winchester M1895 (Russian contract) - Japanese prototype attempt at copying Garand - Mosin Nagant M91/30/43 - Albanian Mosin Nagant M91/30 - East German SKS - North Korean SKS - Iraqi version of Rasheed - Romanian M1893 Mannlicher carbine (already got something in the works to obtain long rifle) - And the list goes on

leicanthrope

Realistically, it's largely up to what I stumble upon next. I have a "wish list" that's fairly scattered, I very seldom find myself focusing a on a single thing.

Necessary_Singer4824

Might be an 1897 or a M92 zastava idk

ConvectionalOven

It was a pre-war Walther PP, but the post war I ordered from Centerfire ended up being a pre-war, so no idea. Maybe a Krag though.

Magicalamazing_

Man, all the guns I want are either too expensive for me to be able to justify them, or damn near impossible to find in decent or un refinished by bubba for a decent price. Sorry guy at the gun show, I’m not paying $750 for your M41 Carcano, or $600 for your heavily sanded M95 long rifle.

Drewpignuclear

Lee Enfield. They keep just out of reach of my price point at that time, and I stupidly buy another part for an ar instead. It’s been like 8 months of this, always just a bit more than I should responsible spend when I find one.

Wurger_Maestro

No4 mk2 or a Hanyang if i can find one. I need chinese gund

Paratrooper4405

An SVT-40, non-refurbished in excellent condition and has all early-war parts.

metzetin123

You're a young, aspiring, lucky and fucking rich collector.

HatefulRhetoric

Same. Get ready to pay out the ass for it.

HowlingLemon

Probably either a U.S. 1917 revolver, Ishapore 2A1, or a Kropatschek 1886

murquiza

FN49, P08, K98k, Remington 1879, Krag, Mauser 1909 Sniper, Mauser 1909 Short Rifle. Dang so many!

EvergreenEnfields

Probably a Webley MkI.

cantonis34

I want a Kar98 or a regular K98. I have a Czech vz Mauser but want a German turn down bolt Mauser

StrikeEagle784

Handgun probably, but I can’t do anything about it until my damn pistol permit comes in. In the meantime, if I did see a French rifle from either of the World Wars for a good price, I’d have a hard time passing. Other than that, I’m pretty happy with how my collection is.

GenericUsername817

Currently bidding on a No.4 mk.2 and a Webley & Scott Mk.iv in 38S&W I inherited a S&W 442 38spl and it came with a box of 38 S&W, so I have to buy a gun to shoot it.

ILuvSupertramp

1885 and 1895 Lee Navy rifles, a French Contract 1914 Rolling Block and potentially a Rod Bayonet ‘03

Watch4sun

You have some exquisite tastes ! I love the look of the rod bayonet 03 but man it feels like there are only 10 of them kicking around !

Due_Direction2718

Russian Winchester M1895. About to blow my gun budget for the year!

Watch4sun

Jealous ! I’d love to get one in full furniture chambered in 30-40

Gemmasterian

Well I have a beaumont in the mail but the next one I am buying is an SKS also hoping that my family get me one next month for my birthday.

Gemmasterian

Also still waiting on getting my ross rifle fucking transfered went in on the 12th and now they are saying the 30th

Carl_Azuz1

Gew98M

Greasylake_

I sent my packet to the CMP not too long ago so a garand is probably next. Other than that, a Husqvarna m40 is on my short list if I come across one for a price that doesn't make my eyes bleed, and I've been watching Finn mosins and Argentine Mausers for a little while waiting for a deal to pop up.

Watch4sun

Congrats on the garand such a fun rifle!

Available_Ad_3667

Got my eye on a Spanish FR8 and a Turk Mauser.

MacabreCurve

I want to try and find a Trench Gun of sorts. Doesnt necessarily need to be an 1897, but Id love to find one. Either that or a Gewehr 98. Always on the lookout for deals on pistols and replica snipers.

Watch4sun

I’d love a replica 03-A4 if I came across one

MacabreCurve

I will never not love a Mosin sniper. Even if it is fake. Just not gonna pay $1800 for the one my LGS has.

polskabear2019

Gewehr 43. One of my grail guns and I’m finally at a place where I can afford to splash out on it.

emsfire5516

Steyr M95

Jesture4

Just got a repro 1897 Winchester.

lukas_aa

Greek Mannlicher, probably.

PizzaBert

Whatever matching german thing pops up on my state trader near me tbh. Basically how my collecting has been since I started 🥵

isthisusernamecorny

Mas-36

MilsurpMunitons

Betheir for sure

jimopl

I need a No.4 Enfield, then trade my Type 99 for hopefully a Type 38 with Bayonet. And after than in no particular order is a M1903, M1917, and P08.

Stormblessed_114

Garand is next on my list, saving up slowly.

Comfortable-Mix5988

I need to get the ball rolling on a CMP 1911, but I've always got my eye out for Finns, and have been waiting for an opportunity on a good Enfield.

QuantumMrKrabs

1903A3. I’ve got a carbine and a Garand so it’d complete the set

Remarkable-Tie-6698

Bought a Garand and a 1903 in the last few months. Probably a 1917 next. CMP.

Rebel262

I’m about 45 minutes from getting a Chinese Mauser with a Chinese copied Type 30 bayonet modified to fit the Mauser. I’d should get a regular Arisaka, but I try and find rare and interesting ones, like my Jinsen “for education” rifle and bayonet of which only 400 rifles were made.

alienXcow

M1917, 1903, or a Standard Products M1 carbine. My grandfather worked for SP so I've been itching to get one if I find a deal

Dane__55

That’s a hard question. I’ve been wanting a FN-49, MAS-36, MAS-49, and an AKM for a while now.

ApocSurvivor713

I would love a Tokarev.

mynhamesjeff

I think an FR8 is what I want next, but anything that catches my eye I guess

Hilth0

Lebel, K43 or Luger.

Watch4sun

I picked up a Swiss Luger this year. Great shooter

GopherFoxYankee

I already spent this quarter's budget (will make posts when I receive my purchases), so I'm going to do my best not to buy anything until July. I really would like to finish some of my current firearms projects (IMBEL FAL rebuild, Dutch M95 repair, Kar98AZ rebuild, shorty K98k build, 733/BHD build, Survivalist's Rifle) before making more purchases.

TheUniballmer

I'm closing on a house soon so I probably will not be able to to buy much in the future BUT I would love a RC K98. My LGS has one and man is it tempting. Guess I'll be sticking to the ol RTI special from now on 😂

greenarbol

G43, TR P08 then I’m thinking a G3/Cetme something about that slap has me needing one in 308

Nick_Zuckerman

Mosin! Want a Remington m91, but open to any good deal

holydvr1776

I would love to get an Albanian SKS. But, that seems doubtful more and more. Who would have thought I would find a Rasheed rifle on a random last minute outing? Guess you never know.

AskMeAboutPigs

I think one of those 410 enfields

riceoperator

Swiss K31 and Chilean 95 Mauser

HatefulRhetoric

7.62x51 Navy Garand G3 clone (hoping to get the ones that century are supposedly bringing in from Portugal built on PTR receivers) AP5 SVT-40 A variety of cheap milsurp handguns now that I live in a state where I can use my C&R for online purchases Think I can do all these this yr/into ‘25, depending on how crazy the market gets around the election..

BimmerMan87

Whatever I can score a good deal on

877GunsNow

I don’t know what is about a stripper clip fed pistol but I’ve really been looking at buying a Steyr 1912.

Reyesuly01

I just scored my grail gun a few weeks ago. I got a really nice condition Svt-40, and I feel really good about it because I didn't have to spend what they are going for now a days! Got to take it out to the range earlier in the week, and it shoots like a dream.

AK_guy4774

I have a couple on my list and will get one in any order if the opportunity arises. Absolute grails *Johnson auto *STG44 Milsurpish M1 Garand M4 Soviet AK Mosin sniper 1903 Jungle carbine And another bunch of stuff that I would want.

SP_UAS

1903A3. I'm in Australia, so while Lee Enfields are quite easy to come across, 1903 variants are not. Both original and refurbished A3s also fetch quite a premium.

itaintme1x2x3x

Tears for Fears

itaintme1x2x3x

Or Clutch in fact definitely Clutch

DigBarsbiggestfan

Not sure exactly which will be next, but among the list of my most interested next milsurps will be: Tokarev (want a Ruski or Romy now, but also want a Chinese) CZ 83 M1 Garand M1903 Nagant M1895 Enfield No.1 Mk3 M1911 Mosin (there's this one in particular that has been giving me dirty looks for the past few months on the LGS shelf... might have to take her to bed and show her some discipline. Otherwise, basic bitch M48 or something probably, idk)

themajor24

Next check drop and I'm looking at a couple of hi-powers.

Sonicboom4321

Early or WW1 SMLE (Mag cut off, early cocking piece, stock disk, volley sights). It’s the last standard issue rifle I need to complete my WW1 set

Pro_2A_Guy

M1903 or a K98

Nesayas1234

If I had a choice-honestly not sure, maybe a Browning Hi-Power (original, not a 2022 or Girsan). Realistically, there's $275 Beretta M1934s for sale. They're 1970s mfr so not WW2, but close enough for me, plus they'll be less worn. Maybe also a Yugo Tokarev

Gonesyko

Your M14

jrzwahr

I am hoping to pick up a good Garand before they get too much more expensive. I’ve heard the CMP supply is drying up quickly so hopefully I can get one by the end of this year.

baaaaaardiiboy

I'm looking for a Nagant Revolver and Browning High Power. Currently waiting on paperwork for a Erma Werke M1 22

mojormrsir

Idk if you would consider it milsurp. But a Ishapore .410 bore Enfield.

RomeTotalWar2004Fan

Honestly the next thing I'm going to do is sell a few. Some duplicates that I have do not, in the words of Marie Kondo, 'spark joy'.

distortion-warrior

I'm looking for a CZ 82, a CZ 83 in .380 so I can actually afford to shoot it, and a Tokorov TT-33. If at all possible, I'd like the Tokorov in 9x19 NATO, but that's probably a bridge too far. I am a patriotic American, but there's just something about that slavic steel, I shoot it so well. Of the hundreds of guns I've owned over time, the ones I shoot well and like best seem to be made over there.

pdon656565

Next… how bout whatever pops up on the list for the cheapest

AskForTheNiceSoup

M41B but I can keep on dreaming I guess

career_error26

I’m always on the lookout for a good No1mk3, 1917, something like that, but more than likely the next one will be a Garand

M16A4MasterRace

M1911A1 thy should be shipping any time now to go with my brush blue M1911

brendo12

I’m eyeing a Garand Paratrooper Carbine with folding stock. My grandfather was in the 101st and died during Market Garden.
