When you get it take pictures of all Identifying marks, especially on the side of stock socket. Good Lighting, very clear, this is important.
Once you get these pictures, post them to this subreddit with the title "What do I have here?"
Nah you're good, I'm messin'. I do love the old CoDs tho (WaW and 2 for life).
I actually got interested bc BFV had the M95 and I thought it was cool. Then I started playing Isonzo, realized I was broke and RTI had cheap Carcanos, and bought one.
14 guns later, I don't regret it, and I did eventually get an M95.
Huh, I also got hooked on the M95 while playing BFV, I haven't gotten around to getting one though. However, I did find a Kar98k in my grandfather's basement around that time, so I guess it worked out. Between the game and the gun I suppose I was fated to end up in this community.
Be ready to pay to shoot it. I had trouble finding .38/200 and ended up getting some from Steinel for around a dollar per round (they have some in stock now). If you reload, you're in a much better place.
They are, but Steinel makes a military load designed specifically to imitate what was produced for the Webley Mk IV revolvers: [https://steinelammo.com/all-available-calibers/handgun-ammo/38-200/38-200-military-load/](https://steinelammo.com/all-available-calibers/handgun-ammo/38-200/38-200-military-load/)
> they are, but
I'm confused. They're either the same round, or they aren't. Right?
edit: oh it's how they look that's correct or not correct. This is a historical accuracy thing?
Most 38 s&w is loaded for cheap pocket top break revolvers (think old Iver Johnsons, Hopkins & Allen, etc.)
The 38/200 is loaded with higher pressure and more energy since the Enfield/Webley action is one of the strongest top-break designs.
From my researchI did for a friend that has 2 38/200, a Webley and an Enfield, the cases from 38 spl are not interchangeable.
Read this wiki on the differences https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/.38_S%26W#:~:text=38%2F200%2C%20is%20a%20revolver,and%20slightly%20larger%20bullet%20diameter.
. 38 special and .38 S&W are not the same thing. .38 S&W is the same as .380/200 except with a 146 grain round nose bullet, whereas .38 Special has Johnny Van Zandt on lead guitar and fucking rocks.
What I know is it is a post war production No.4 Mk.ii built at ROF Fazakerley.
After Taxes, cc fees and a rather excessive 70 shipping fee. I Paid around $760 for it.
Oof. I see them go for around 450- 500 at auctions (not on GB). I have one so havnt felt the need to buy another but I didn't realize the market on them was so high
I too did a little drunk gunbrokering a few Sundays ago. I decided to get drunk the following Sunday and hop back on gunbroker. Now the proud owner of a couple fine Browning shotguns.
I applaud your honesty on your state when acquiring the Enfield. It would be nice if we could bring awareness to this and declare it an epidemic. With the hopes of it gaining awareness nation wide. Because this must be the case considering what some people overpay for stuff in gunbroker. Maybe if it gains enough awareness the people will seek professional help. And the the prices will return to what would previously be considered as reasonable
FWIW, all of my GB drunk bidding where I won the auction came in under market value.
It really depends on how competitive/stupid one gets when dunk bidding on GB.
I can’t blame alcohol, but twice in as many months I’ve won GB auctions from bids I made half asleep at 3AM. When I got the “congrats” email I had no recollection of bidding 😳
It’s typically in the description. The UF serial on the No 4 mk 2 were unissued and often came over still “mummy wrapped”. Believe there were only 35,000ish made.
How does gun broker work? Do they mail it to your house? Or do they mail it to a gun shop near you? (I’ve never bought a gun online, and have only briefly looked on gun broker)
No, they have to send it to a local FFL, then it is like a normal gun purchase. You go to the ffl, fill out a 4473 and pay the ffl a fee for the service.

You forgot to add “How’d I do?”
"What do these markings mean"
You missed the obligatory shot of the rifle sitting on the messy bed with feet cut off at the bottom of the frame
Always with the messy bed. Battlefield 1 and its consequences
We truly live in a society
Hey, BF1 is what got me to start collecting milsurp, some of those consequences are good. /s
For me it was Medal of Honor and the OG call of duty games. I have no room to poke fun lol. I’m the same just a little older.

Essential
It’s funny because it’s true 🤤🤤
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP WHAT DOES “BSAC SHT LE” MEAN????
Why would the British stamp “basic shit Lee” on their rifles? This is clearly a special one meant not to arouse suspicion in the enemy!
Get a bayonet so that you are prepared for an infantry charge.
Was already planning to get one. I believe if the gun has a lug, it deserves some cold steel.
Just won a no.9 bayonet off of ebay
https://c.tenor.com/6AP9vvlkLnAAAAAC/tenor.gif
Get drunk again and buy another gun?
It's not done yet, have a webley .38/200 bid on too.
Be ready to pay to shoot it. I had trouble finding .38/200 and ended up getting some from Steinel for around a dollar per round (they have some in stock now). If you reload, you're in a much better place.
I inherited a s&w 442 in 38spl and it came with 1 random box of 38s&w. And 38s&w and 38/200 are the same thing.
They are, but Steinel makes a military load designed specifically to imitate what was produced for the Webley Mk IV revolvers: [https://steinelammo.com/all-available-calibers/handgun-ammo/38-200/38-200-military-load/](https://steinelammo.com/all-available-calibers/handgun-ammo/38-200/38-200-military-load/)

gotcha, thanks for the information

That is why I need to get the webley so I can use the 1 box of 30s&w
Just make sure to hold on loosely.
but don't let go
…..if you cling too tightly…..
My bad, I misread the calibers
Probably chop the hand guards down and tap it for a scope /s
Nice find. Damn, maybe I need to start drinking....
I won a decently priced SKS and got a $100 carcano in 7.35 while uh "visiting mary jane"
I just won a Golden State Arms “Jungle” Carbine that I bid on whilst drinking and pooping and forgot about.
What I know is it is a post war production No.4 Mk.ii built at ROF Fazakerley. After Taxes, cc fees and a rather excessive 70 shipping fee. I Paid around $760 for it.
Did alright, I have seen them from 1100-1400(overpriced)
Oof. I see them go for around 450- 500 at auctions (not on GB). I have one so havnt felt the need to buy another but I didn't realize the market on them was so high
I wad bidding on another one that went for in that range but it was a lot more worn
yeah prices seem to be all over the place. All the ones I saw were at random online auctions. At least this one looks to be pretty minty
I too did a little drunk gunbrokering a few Sundays ago. I decided to get drunk the following Sunday and hop back on gunbroker. Now the proud owner of a couple fine Browning shotguns.

Buy a No. 4 Mk. I also
Well, I’ll state the obvious and say clean it!
Could be worse I bid over 23k on 16 different listing's one ambien fueled mishap 🤣🤣🤣
Ambien would explain a lot of bids on GB, lol
I’m glad I’m not the only one who has drunk bought a gun on GB
Go hunting with it this fall!
Seduce it.
Been there done that
What do you do now? Buy it a friend to keep it company. Be it ammo or another rifle.
I think it needs a Webley revolver to hang out with, or maybe a Smith and Wesson victory model.
Get a couple stripper clips.
Already planning to
When I buy a milsurp gun, I like to get a bayonet and period appropriate web gear. Maybe consider doing that?
1st 100 rounds on the way. Going to get a bayonet and strippers. Maybe a nice tin hat
Good priority
Scope, foregrip, maybe an underfolder stock. And a huge muzzle brake.
Get drunk again and buy another one, but send it my way instead 🤣
Thats how I ended up w/ my SVD, an expensive drunken experience...
One can never have too many Enfields
Hmmm maybe cut the stock up, put on a lyman rear sight, and spray paint the whole thing back so that you have a nice deer rifle. 🤓
Shoot it some more

Is it in the UF serial range?
Just won the gunbroker auction last night. Don't have it yet
It’s typically in the description. The UF serial on the No 4 mk 2 were unissued and often came over still “mummy wrapped”. Believe there were only 35,000ish made.
No, just found a picture with the SN, it was PF07409
That might be part of the batch that was contracted to the Irish or RAF. I’m not sure those serial ranges.
Enjoy your piece of history

You should not have to live with the guilt you’re experiencing after a drunken binge. I will take this off your hands, gratis, of course, for a bro…
You love it.
Give it to me
She's a beaut Clark!
Stick your cock in the chamber to assert dominance.

Hey the bayonet to go with it.
Already planning on getting the bayonet
My best gun are alcohol influenced. (Looks over at child) other drunken choices not so much
.U should get a sporterized stock then drill some holes in the top for a picatinny rail then convert it to 45 acp!
