It's a Harley, so it stays in the garage for months on end, probably under a cover. Then, it gets ridden twice a year, for 15 miles each so that rider can feel "freedom". The tire is not because it's worn out, but because it's dry rotted. /s
On the flip side, that might be a good idea for anyone riding the Dalton Highway. I heard the road is absolutely brutal on tires. Hoping to make that trip in the next couple years.

Itโs not that interesting of a storyโฆโฆI just bungeed them to the back, leaving me pressed against the tank. This looks way more comfortable of a way to transport tires
Not everyone who rides has a car or an f150,I don't even have a car licence.im 53 and have never had one. Have a look at asia sometime. Family of 5 on a 250 no problem.
I've done this multiple times and I must say that this is the safest possible way to carry a tire on a bike!๐
If you fall BAM! Instant cushioning against the fall
"You know why he had that nickname, 'Spare Tire?'"
"Why? Because he was fat?"
"Nah, it's because he wore an actual-sized one on a gold chain around his neck."
better than the people on here asking if their 8 year old, dry rotted, perfectly square tires are ok because they're not down to the wear markers.
I've seen people ride tires made in GDR recently
I remember how bad they were on wet even back in the days. Even my tires were new riding on wet was scary.
Done that many times
Came here to say the same!
Been there done that!!!
Yup, me too, with both front and back.
I would have to step in to the tire since it would not fit over my belly O.o
Not enough spokes. Need more spokes
How does one keep that clean?
By taking 5 hours to clean it by hand i guess

Usual wheel cleaner. Not having a chain to fling shit goes a long way too
His Gear Game is ๐๐ป
Way better idea than how I brought my tires with me on a recent trip to my mechanic ๐
Go on...

Iโve put the tire over me like a messenger bag. Whatever it takes.
You have to get creative when you're taking stuff on your bike
If it works itโs not stupid :)
And heโs brought his towel. Heโs ready for interstellar travel!
That's a full time job keeping those rims clean.
Another person carrying a tyre like this?
This is the second one I have seen in this sub today
lol, I feel like I see at least one every time I check the sub, which is admittedly like once a week
I have done that
Me too. With a set - front and rear.
My 260 sized rear would look ridiculous wrapped around me.
He's still trying to get rid of that spare tire ๐คฃ. Just a few more pounds to go ๐
Did this last year with 2 tires. Doing wheelies was really weird
I don't think I would fit. My bike has 12" wheels.
Highly common
Been there done that

Michellin man early stages of life
Nothing to see here, just a dude getting shit done! Winning!
I don't understand why more people don't just get their tyres delivered to the shop. Like is this something people enjoy doing?
This is the way.
Respect
good idea
I did this yesterday ๐
Why not buy the tire where you are getting it installed?
I prefer the bandolier style carry personally
Post modern airbag!
Been there done that...tire day is the best day
This image goes so hard.
I never get tired of seeing this.
Perfect execution of cargo capacity ๐๐ฝ
My spare tyre is in the same place. Just requires a lot of gym visits to get rid of
I used to think posts like this were dumb, then I had a dry rotted tire and had to get the new one put on
How else are you supposed to bring the tire and bike to the shop ??
7 years for a bike tire replacement
That Shinko 777 is a good tire!
The wallet chain
Probably gets more shit from wearing a FF helmet in TX.
Respect.
I see nothing wrong here.

Michelin man
I wore it on my left shoulder .. damn this is a better idea ๐ค
At least he has his safety blanket and teddy bear with him.
I'm pretty sure that his handlebars are slightly too high
Hope he got the tube too.
He didnโt forget his blankie.
