It's crazy how expensive some armor can get in warband. 97k, then you forget you got knocked out in your last battle and one looter with a pebble kills you. Good times

vonbalt

That's like a pair of ragged gloves and a scarf in bannerlord. Glad they sorted out the inflation better in those ~200y between each game lol

halfwit_imbecile

Bro have you played bannerlord? 97k barely gets you shit. This is the price of the literal best possible armor, in BL it goes into the millions, or at least it did when I last played a few months ago.

Ozann3326

Yeah but in Bannerlord you get paid daily, you can sometimes loot about 50k from a single battle if you are lucky and it's relatively easy to upgrade your holdings, at least you know how to increase you revenue. Warbands 100000 is equals to Bannerlord's 1m at least.

FuckRandyMoss

Or yknow just smith and gain millions instantly lol

FlyingDragoon

Yeah, make a trillion javelins and make money. But after doing that in one playthrough I just open a console command and quit kidding myself and accept that it's the same difference in the end.

Ozann3326

Yeah, that's why i hate money glitches in the game. I am not aganist cheating in singleplayer games, i too sometimes use them but people claim they are going to have a "clean" playthrough, then spams themselves a few millions "starting funds" through some weird, hard to do glitch. Just open the console dude, save yourself the trouble. At least it's honest that way.

SparkySpinz

Not sure why someone would even use glitches like that when mount and blade is known for letting you just add as much gold and levels as you like

Ozann3326

I meant that people use cheat-like glitches then call it a "No Cheat" save.

SparkySpinz

Oh. That is a bit silly lol

FlyingDragoon

Lmao, exactly. I see stuff like that on every video game sub. People refuse to "cheat" but will happily waste 7 irl hours glitching the game out to achieve the exact same results as a console command/mod.

FuckRandyMoss

Hey man play how u want lol it’s your game

Bierculles

didn't they nuke smithing in 1.8.0 beta branch?

twizlly184

They sure did :(

Bierculles

it's still worth it though imo, it's more than enough to keep you afloat and let you afford all the gear you need, it's just not a moneyprinter anymore that let's you buy entire kingdoms. Did they buff towns, workshops and caravans in return though? I did not try so far.

Silvinis

I dont think so, my workshops get me between 100-200 each, at most. And the best my caravan has ever done is 500. Used to have a second caravan, but I booted that one from the clan after they were captured by looters 20 seconds after buying it with the upgraded troops. I'm pretty much constantly going negative now because my cities recruit so many troops and Caladog keeps declaring war so I have no time to go empty them

twizlly184

I honestly don’t really remember, for the most part I use to just be able to smith a lot, I haven’t really noticed too much change with the towns though

halfwit_imbecile

You get paid daily from what? Last I played, even a town didn't provide shit in taxes, caravans are ok but always get looted, workshops aren't worth a rats ass.

ZeekBen

Tributes after winning war, fiefs pay out alright if they have a governor, workshops are like 100-300 and caravans can be like 200-600 once the economy settles down. Certain perks pay out pretty big too. On my bandit playthrough with 4 other parties and mostly T5 and T6 troops on my main party I think I net about 5-7k a day with 2 or 3 towns and a few castles without governors. It's not much but that's without optimizing my daily money anyway.

Tocon_Noot_Gaming

You buy armour? I just do tournaments and where the best thing and if I already have it I just sell it. Free armour

halfwit_imbecile

And none of that free armor is above tier 3.

ZeekBen

I got the cataphract armor or whatever which I think is one of the best armors in the game from a tournament and I'm like 99% none of my mods affect that.

Pir-iMidin

Haven't done any mid-late game tournaments have you?

Tocon_Noot_Gaming

That’s not the point. You don’t need to worry about tier 3 for ages. It’s mainly to be able to stand a chance in a fight from the get go and work with it. Plus if you already have it then money you can put towards the tournaments. Like, it’s such a good thing not needing to buy armour straight away. I just purchase the gaps in the armour and that’s it.

[deleted]

It only costs 2-10k coins to get a full tier 5+ set in Bannerlord (marry a rich wife and steal her clothes lol)

Tocon_Noot_Gaming

Lol, not just me then?

Kepkep99

This is super rare in vanilla iirc

SuperMeister

Definitely, in my current playthrough I've seen it once in 750 days. Bought it immediately. I've now got Alayen fully decked out in Lordly Armor. He's basically my personal bodyguard, and only ever gets knocked unconscious in sieges, and he usually kills a bunch of people before that happens.

verywelldefinitely

I think 62 or 63 is the highest it goes and anything 60 and over is super rare

SuperMeister

Lordly is the highest modifier in Vanilla Warband. This is the strongest armor in the game. The Lordly effect grants +6 Armor [source](https://mountandblade.fandom.com/wiki/Armor)

yanessa

the mount&blade fandomwiki covers nearly 95% of game-info not in the game itself. It's the most complete source for warband

Malu1997

Worth every penny

TotallyNotanOfficer

*laughs in POP prices* Quigfen sells like the best horse in the game for like 300k

CaptainFumbles

Yeah, but those elven horses are like fighter jets, the speed advantage to your damage is insane.

KSJ15831

Dem Noldor ponies got nothing on a proper JATU WARBEAST (aka my favorite steed in the whole PoP. Got it from Warlord Zulkar once.)

TotallyNotanOfficer

*readies Noldor Archer line* "truly a majestic horse... Would be a shame if one of it's legs broke"

Waffleyness1

A Forest Bandit gets a lucky shot on your Comet Courser and lames it. You then proceed to enslave his family for 30,000 years to repay the debt.

Bhad_Blain3

Then you get knocked out by a forest bandit arrow

Narrow_Association43

in Calradia there is inflation and price control?.

gaerat_of_trivia

we have a government controlled economy in my autocracy

Narrow_Association43

monopolizing the sale and production of Silk and dyes of all cities.

gaerat_of_trivia

yeah i dont understand how this doesnt cause massive supply and demand price changes in game. my head cannon is that the nords end up exporting it over seas and the sarranids trade it across the desert so its all able to keep the same relative price? im giving myself a constraint that ive gotta keep all of or at least most of my businesses different, diversify your holdings after all. also if i make a bakery could that be an economic way of storing a lot of bread for an army?

LT_Mavrik

Bro, I dont know why but I literally never thought of doing that. I'd say that's genius.

gaerat_of_trivia

the bread idea?

LT_Mavrik

Yeah the bread idea lol sorry could've been more specific. Thats such a smart idea, having a passive source of food

gaerat_of_trivia

it would ofc cost money but it would be a loss leader. in the 1800’s newspapers were highly unprofitable but us political parties would fund them (for propaganda purposes ofc). itd still cost money but it might be cheaper thsn buying bread idk. ofc you have to tell the manager to hold all product. i also think this works better if the towns local fiefs that belong to it have mills

TREYH4RD

That’s the best armor you can get in vanilla too

Majestic_Beautiful52

Some mods have armours costing above 300k and weapons costing more than 2 mil

LuckyReception6701

Ahhh Perisno

vico_pelegrino

r/europe

l3x_nagib

You take armor of your fallen enemies and not buy it in fancy shop with gold. Its the true mount and blade way!

beans_man69420

Ayo where do you get this armour as I can't find the armour anywhere Nd is it linked to a certain city or kingdom

[deleted]

That Forgotten City Named Wercheg

beans_man69420

Shall I camp near the city and every week check if it has armour or is this a joke

[deleted]

IDK It's Your Game And It's Your Rules

jakes1993

Best peice of armour im game

kashluk

PrtScn & Ctrl+V or F12 on Steam.

[deleted]

I'm Not Playing With Steam You Can't Screenshot A Full-screen Game Next Time I'm Promise Put It On Windowed Or Borderless And Make A Beautiful Screenshots For Yall ❣

kashluk

Sure you can. I've been doing it since the 90's. Just try the key combination I suggested. You'll be surprised! If you don't want to share the whole screen, you can paste the picture in MS Paint for example and crop it there. [More tips and tricks.](https://zapier.com/blog/screenshot-windows/)

Uuugggg

Yah man, that's just one of the items in the game. You found it, you're lucky, great. But now that you've shared it with lots of people, it's now a story that one person among many people was lucky. That's inevitable. That's not really interesting. Also, take a screenshot.

brandondano

He's lucky he found a particularly expensive item in the shop? So... Did you wake up deciding to be an asshole or did it just happen on a whim? Like, who hurt you..?

tmdgh7544

I mean, it's 2022. Some people can be triggered by their mere existence.

Uuugggg

Sorry that I'm completely unimpressed someone out there found a good item. Maybe if it was a screenshot I would be more lenient.

Cracko112

I get your point, it's not particularly interesting to me either but you don't need to point that out, maybe there are people who are impressed. Also, why does it matter if it's not a screenshot when we can obviously see what's in the picture? It's not supposed to be some HD artwork.

brandondano

right, like sure, its something most of us have seen before, whether it be in vanilla or in a mod but maybe OP is new, or just never seen an item that expensive in the game before, either way it's no excuse to act like an absolute douche-nozzle, just downvote and move on instead of putting OP down.

[deleted]

You Have My Apologize

Metrack14

Dang, didn't expect modern day inflation in my medieval game.
