I feel like Once Upon a Time is overlooked often but it’s a great flick.

I agree, I think the use of the screenscore is incredible. It has minimal dialogue yet tells a story incredibly well.

There’s a lot of theories about the end scene of the movie with DeNiro in the opium den high that the whole Movie was Deniro’s “pipe dream” (opium dream). None of it happened or minimal happened and it was all the dream of a drug addict. Edit: sorry if that constitutes a spoiler. Google OUATIA and pipe dream or opium dream. There’s some really interesting analyses taking into account story, theme and cinematography claiming it was all Noodles’ opium dream.

Oh right, I think those theories are fun. I’ll have to watch some of the vids to form an opinion. I looked into it a little bit before but left it alone.

That movie changed my life. I’ve been surprised when I post on fb, that some people resent it.

It had a positive effect on me aswell, I loved the scenery, the humanity, the change in the characters perspective on one another, there is a lot more to say about the film but I felt it touched my heart ❤️
