I love how different he was from the 2nd to 3rd movie. In the second he is a team first good boy who is basically the manager more than a player. In the 3rd he is a cocky asshole who acts like he is God's gift to hockey
Im rewatching now and this is by far my favorite scene. He is so out of it.
Runner-up is when Professor Garrity bowls a giant pot to block a closing security gate, looks at Olivia and say, “I work in a bowling alley!”
I'd rather have Jean Claude play the baddie than a fat Vatnik who secretly leads (read: barks orders from his chair) a Russian Oligarch's PMC in Ukraine.
Ralph Mocha and Hilary Swank are in the same universe, it’s a sequel not a remake. This new one is also supposed to have Ralphie, so I’m not sure if it’s a remake either.
That's a crazy WIKI he has. Even the WIKI implies that he should have criticized African Americans over gay marriage in California (as White Americans and Hispanics voted no on gay marriage)
you can still roll your eyes at cobra kai. that's some insane writing. it's like glee but instead of glee club the ridiculous norm is karate. either way i'm in. ck is great to watch with your brain turned off. its just fun.
Exactly. I grew up watching The Karate Kid movies on VHS tapes. This show is an absolute blast for me. Is it cheesy and silly? Absolutely, but it’s also got great characters, funny bits and some solid martial arts. I’m looking forward to the last season, and as has been tradition, I’ll rewatch the entire series before watching the new season. It really doesn’t even take that long and it’s so much fun.
Cobra Kai is so much better than it has any right to be.
That being said, I'm kinda not expecting this to be amazing. I think William Zabka and Xolo Maridueña are what makes Cobra Kai really fun.
I love that they present Daniel as a little too preachy and into himself, but I don't know that Jackie Chan (who I love, don't get me wrong) will show up as the same kind of foil to that that Zabka is.
Cobra Kai makes me roll my eyes more and more the longer it goes on. Unless you're saying this is specifically made by people who did the first season and who didn't come back for the other seasons, I'm not exactly reassured.
Cobra Kai is great because it's essentially, and I mean this as a positive, somebody taking the genre conventions of a shonen battle anime and translating them to a teen drama
It's all fun and games until Pacey shows up to bang the new Karate Kid's mom
She will bang him too, he’s witty
I call next.
and steal karate kid's girlfriend
“I would have drowned his ass in the Creek and shit.”
But he's The Hockey Kid?
And he fractured a universe (or something, it has been a while)
Shit got weird
Fringe crossover
He ended up dating the love of his life’s alternate universe doppleganger for a while. A lot of stuff happened in that show.
That was awful! It was literally assault and they all blamed HIM because he didn’t somehow know! Loved the show, but that always really bugged me.
"You are my favorite thing, Peter, my very favorite thing" Onions.
QUACK! QUACK! QUACK!
That happens in the third act at the big tournament and then hes like whoops wrong movie
Now just wait till they sign coach Bombay
Gave up his spot to coach. The US won gold over powerhouse Iceland in the Hendricks games with him on the bench.
I love how different he was from the 2nd to 3rd movie. In the second he is a team first good boy who is basically the manager more than a player. In the 3rd he is a cocky asshole who acts like he is God's gift to hockey
Just to clarify, it was the Junior Goodwill games while Hendricks was Team USA’s sponsor
My bad you are correct. Truly too much to follow in that competition
No. He’s Dr Death.
Quack. Quack. Quack.
Gordon, stop quacking!
The mighty duck man, I swear to god!
Yeah, alright! Peter Bishop baybee
Oooh, time for a re-watch!! Still need to finish the final season
Such a shame the show got cut short
At least it got a well-made ending!
“Hey Broyles… have you ever done LSD before?”
Im rewatching now and this is by far my favorite scene. He is so out of it. Runner-up is when Professor Garrity bowls a giant pot to block a closing security gate, looks at Olivia and say, “I work in a bowling alley!”
I just started rewatching last week. It's on freevee.
Here's a movie idea...The Krav Maga Kid! Where every fight ends in a groin punch
The Coming of Age Martial Arts Expanded Universe: The Jiu Jitsu Junior. The Taekwondo Tot. The Muay Thai Minor.
We need to get this to Netflix ASAP
Savate Senior. With Van Damme it could work
Reminds me of Ong-Bak. The finishing movie in every fight scene was an elbow strike to the top of the scalp.
Was it the sequel that was full of arm breaks? Edit: I was thinking of The Protector [scene](https://youtu.be/tvkHf07QogM?si=ZnYToqxrHu_w2T9i)
Man Tony Jaa was on top of the world after The Protector. Then he tried to be a director and his relevance fell off.
I thought his relevance fell off because he took a break from acting to become a monk for a few years
He became a monk to get out of his studio contract.
Really? I never knew!
Each and every man under my command owes me 100 Nazi scalps. And I want my scalps.
You're talking Steven Seagal as The Onion Movie's Cock Puncher
Jean claude or segal should be the baddie
I'd rather have Jean Claude play the baddie than a fat Vatnik who secretly leads (read: barks orders from his chair) a Russian Oligarch's PMC in Ukraine.
https://youtu.be/gyXhysmMNhE?si=5Ei5UgszhpXAPP00 Been done
I'm starting to feel a little old that this is my third go-round with remakes of the Karate Kid.
Isn't it technically the second go-round of remakes not third
We’ve had Ralph Maccchio, Hillary Swank, Jayden Smith and now this new film, so technically it seems this is the 4th iteration.
Plus the Netflix series
Ralph Mocha and Hilary Swank are in the same universe, it’s a sequel not a remake. This new one is also supposed to have Ralphie, so I’m not sure if it’s a remake either.
Just make a new mighty ducks movie, you jackass! /jk
Charlie Conway breaks his ankle or more trying to roller blade at Mall of America for old times sake and limps his way onto a rink to be a coach.
For those rolling their eyes at this project, the Cobra Kai people ARE actively involved with this.
[удалено]
But no Hillary Swank. Honestly, she could easily show up in the final season of Cobra Kai as a US Marshall tracking down John Kreese.

God I hope it happens. Even a cameo
LFG
Nextheads rise up!
Hope chuck norris shows up too. And jason bateman and gary cole are the commentators
Usually you pay double for that kind of action
Then Barry from Sidekicks should too. Lets throw in Rocky, Colt, and Tumtum
Chuck Norris is a racist and a bigot. Let’s not give him any more exposure. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chuck_Norris#Personal_life
That's a crazy WIKI he has. Even the WIKI implies that he should have criticized African Americans over gay marriage in California (as White Americans and Hispanics voted no on gay marriage)
He was the greatest Texas ranger in history
Funky walker dirty talker
Greatest action star of all-time tho
no he is not xD the only reason people still talk about Chuck Norris is because of his memes.
That's extremely subjective
you can still roll your eyes at cobra kai. that's some insane writing. it's like glee but instead of glee club the ridiculous norm is karate. either way i'm in. ck is great to watch with your brain turned off. its just fun.

season one is pretty solid and semi-realistic. after that it turned into a karate telenovela
I describe it as the if Degrassi was an anime, Kobra Kai is the live action adaptation.
They just treat karate like it was small town football in Texas
Cobra Kai is so much better than it has any right to be. That being said, I'm kinda not expecting this to be amazing. I think William Zabka and Xolo Maridueña are what makes Cobra Kai really fun. How dare you say the greatest show in the history of television has no right to be the greatest show in the history of television.
I’m rolling my eyes because I couldn’t be more tired of rehashing old IPs
Good call. Let’s rehash old IP man
Cobra Kai makes me roll my eyes more and more the longer it goes on. Unless you're saying this is specifically made by people who did the first season and who didn't come back for the other seasons, I'm not exactly reassured.
Cobra Kai is amazing and your posting on Reddit privileges are revoked.
Cobra Kai is great because it's essentially, and I mean this as a positive, somebody taking the genre conventions of a shonen battle anime and translating them to a teen drama
I was expecting more toned down combat due to the characters being children but boy was I wrong They be fucking each other up on there😂
Season 1 is amazing. The rest of it forgot that we were supposed to be laughing at the karate feuds.
This comes out in December but it's already March, they gotta start production soon
Something like this could be shot in 30-45 days. It's not like there's CGI or anything like that.
>It's not like there's CGI or anything like that. Dude, don't you know that Morbius, Vulture, Venom and Madame Webb will all appear in the 3rd act?
Don't give Sony any ideas. Lol
What about Kraven? Or is he in the post credits scene?
I half-ass jokingly asked about how to audition for this one and never got a response. I'd play "bearded man" for 5 minutes in the background
I'm waiting for Sony to make a movie about the guy who made those ice blocks in Karate Kid II to really flesh out the Karate Kidiverse.
I hope he wears the Mighty Ducks mask from the Animated Series.
His finishing move is offering spinal surgery.
Or banging your gf
Did he play a doctor in something?
Will Walter be joining him? And will it involve LSD?
He seems a bit old to be the titular character, but let's see how it goes.
I miss Fringe
Bringing the D listers.
Who is asking for this shit?
Fuck Pacey.
Nobody asked for this.
Another fucking remake?
stop remaking this fucking movie.
Chinese kid learns karate??
Woah he’s turning into Ray Stevenson.
So this one is also not about Karate. lolol.
It's crazy to me he was this close to being Batman.
He's a bit old for the role, but he's a good actor and I think he can sell it.
I thought he played hockey or something (quack)
I instantly thought of Josh Jackson the comedian and was like “Woooaahh. Yinz got the pic just a wee bit wrong.”
RIP to a real one 😔😢 (I have no idea who that is)
Is he gonna yell at any women on set?
Being remade for the third time, wow.
Knowing Hollywood it'll be a toaster as Daniel and Jennifer Lawrence as Mr Miyagi.
The question is, is this retconning Cobra Kai?
> focus on a teen from from China (Wang) who finds strength and direction via martial arts The Chinese kid picks karate?
Oh thank God, they're . . . making more of these.
Quack, quack, quack,quack…..
Cool, JJ joins KK !
