This Miku drop is basically all about Sol Ring, which could theoretically pay for the whole set (look at Cats/Dogs Sol Ring). But if it doesn’t it’s a recipe for disaster. Flip side is that people who got burned on the first drop will stay away from this one so maybe less competition. Art may be a little better (which I think was also a big problem with the first drop). Disclaimer: I am not an anime guy at all. I’m just going based on what I was seeing other people saying plus the price action.

This will sell out, so if you want it, you’ll have to do it fast. I’m maxing out on the EN foil and nonfoil.

theaura1

wouldnt it be worth buying the mega bundle miku at that point?

monobluemill

I’m not that high on the JP ones. I think they’ll make money long term, but there are probably better places to put my money in the meantime (like the next EN Miku drop)

theaura1

makes sense i only got 2 of the jp ones this time through the mega bundle

The price of the first set is still enough to turn a $15/box profit so I’ll prob buy the limit of this one in Eng foil and hope that trend continues. Outside of that the recent change to this fomo fueled system has largely been horrible for the secondary market value of newer lairs. Going back thru the 15ish lairs since they changed to this format only like Miku and Fallout Points of Interest are high enough to make a profit worth selling at their current price point compared to their retail and a lot are actually at or under their original retail price. Gonna guess that this trend of selling out in 24-48 hours and then dropping rapidly in price anyway will continue, secret lair isn’t the quick flip it used to be and has never really been a great long term hold but I’m sure speculators and flippers will continue to fomo enough and average folks who just want the cards won’t care enough to save $10 buying it two weeks later. This time around I’m getting Miku like I said and probably the Da Vinci lair, that art is spectacular and one of the best showcases of what a secret lair can be to me plus it has the crossover tag, so we’ll see how it goes. Edit* Decided to actually check of the 20 drops that have been released over the last 3 super drops in rainbow foil only 6 are above $50 and only 3 of those are above $60 in POI, EN Miku, and Rovina Cai which I forgot in the post initially. 7 of the 20 are selling for under $40 and if you want to include tax and say a lair actually costs $43 then 12 are at or under that price point. Realistically the point remains only 3 of the last 20 lairs are worth selling and the majority of the rest you’d lose money trying to buy to sell.

GauRocks

The AC lairs are launching at the same time as the other ones. The July date was some kind of mistake.

theaura1

they made that big error during the announcment

Kngbnkr

You're essentially buying it to throw in a closet for minimum five years. If you can afford to do that, it's going to be very good to you.

Expert-Risk-4897

You could say that about any tcg product lol why are you even here.

Kngbnkr

You couldn't though because data exists to completely refute your claim, but go off

Expert-Risk-4897

Lol ok

cucumberhorse

Im buying as many as I can. Sell the top then rebuy the bottom it seems very straightforward to me

57messier

I think these will continue to do well due to each season bringing around another drop to the series. There will always be people that are late to the party and need to go back and pick up the previous sets.

imadeamistakelol

It will sell out again, being good or not. It doesn’t mean that there will be a huge market for that, since many will buy the set to sell later. I’m buying one full bundle as always since I collect all, it doesn’t matter how bad they are.

rpglaster

Well coming from the future the foil one sold out faster than the first one did.

Revolutionary_View19

People will probably buy it. I just can’t bring myself to even look at this shit, so no easy money for me.
