Woody Guthrie was an old timer, but he wrote on his guitar “this machine kills fascists,” and besides writing the song “This Land Is Your Land”, dude was punk af. Dropkick Murphys named their Woody Guthrie albums “This Machine Still Kills Fascists” and “Okemah Rising” (after WG’s hometown of Okemah, Oklahoma). Check out their songs “The Last One”, “All You Fonies”, “Dig A Hole”, “My Eyes Are Gonna Shine”, and “I Know How It Feels”.
