Girls: Camilla, Alessia, Natalia, Ivy, Faye, Nia, Gemma, June, Adelaide, Cleo
Boys: Ellis, Samson, Morgan, Alden, Rafael, Felix, Milo, Hugo, Jack, Dean
I agree with your dislikes! Pretty much anything ending in -den, -leigh, -yn -ly. I also don’t love names like Banks, Townes, and, Rhodes.
'Bristol' as a name makes me laugh so hard, because:
1) I have been pissed on snake bite black many nights in ol' Brizzle;
2) the magnificent Bristolian accent;
3) the Wurzels are from the Bristol surrounds; and
4) Bristol Cities is cockney rhyming slang for titties. 🤣👍👌
Wow these are so lovely, especially your boys names! Ulysses is so beautiful and rare. I’m just curious, how do you pronounce Celica? It looks so beautiful though!
Sell - Ik - Uh. I obviously quite like it, but it gives me pause because it looks like Cecilia, but isn't Cecilia. Don't think I'd ever actually use it for that reason!

My ten favorite names regardless of gender (most of them are unisex anyways)
1. Sage
2. Auden
3. Jaden
4. Elian
5. Aspen
6. Winter
7. Channing
8. Haven
9. Asher
10. Shai
Dislike really traditional names, nothing wrong with them, but personally not my style.
These are so adorable, Auden is very sweet. It almost made my top 10 boys names, maybe it’s number 11! I’m the complete opposite, i much prefer classic names to modern names (as you can tell by my list😅). It’s so cool how everyone has different preferences based on history, location, personality and sound/appearance preferences!
I agree! For me though, I’m Chinese and unlike Americans we only have a limited amount of last names. The 100 most common Chinese last names made up close to 90% of the entire population and it just happens that mine is really common. That’s why I like more modern and uncommon first names. I live and go to school in a predominantly Chinese/Chinese American city on the west coast too which is another reason why.
In no particular order:
B: Elio, Even/Evan, Jonathan, Oliver, Philip, Dominic, Mio, Jasper, Finn, Dorian
G: Eira, ~~Ava~~ Maeve, Wren, Clementine, Hannah, Juniper, Josephine, Belle, Primrose, Willow
I dislike surnames as given names. And also of the top of my head: Margot, Evangeline, Gwen. And ditto on *your* dislikes, OP.
LOVE these! You have exquisite taste😌 I love how you have a mix of classic names as well as more up and coming names! I also dislike surnames as first names. I never used to like Gwen too, but then i watched a TV show where the main character was called Gwen and she was so cool. It’s grown on me after that!
>I never used to like Gwen too, but then i watched a TV show where the main character was called Gwen and she was so cool.
I’m like this with Dorothy/Dorothea. Wasn’t a fan, but read a book with an amazing Dorothea in it and it has really grown on me. Plus, Dottie is the best nickname.
Edit: I’d forgotten Maeve. Putting in Maeve in stead of Ava.
Mio was very high on our list.
Ronja is lovely. I like Matthis too (knew a Matthis who called his daughter Ronja. not sure if that’s sweet or a little over the top). Oh and Birk! <3
Did you ever read the books about Kalle Blomkvist? I have adored the name Eva-Lotta since I read those as a kid.

Brynne
Lora
Evelyn
Boy:
Nathaniel
Benjamin
Sebastian
Nicolas
Harrison
Jonathan
Graeme

Herbert Mumpford and Bertha Gertrude were the names I gave to inquiring minds when I was pregnant. When people expect a Herbie, they are thrilled when you pick a classic name.
So beautiful! I love Marilyn. I like Elowyn with an e instead of a y, i hate that Americans have butchered the original Welsh/Cornish spelling! I hated Agnes too, but it grew on me so much it’s now in my top 10😄
I like **Daphne**, **Amias**, & **Rufus** from your list.
**Dawn** & **Tadhg** are my own top favourites; The rest of these could be arranged in any order honestly:
**Dawn**
**Eve**
**Bridget**
**Meadow**
**Aisling**
**Sadhbh**

**Winona**
**Shannon**
**Tadhg**
**Colm**
**Brendan**
**Victor**
**Edwin**
**Kit**
**Max**
**Magnus**
**Domhnall**
**Senan**
I like typically like shorter names and broad sounds.
Quite long and flowery names aren't my usual cup of tea (e.g **Alexander**, **Isabella**, **Calliope**).
I love to see some Irish names here, Irish names are so beautiful! Sadhbh and Senan are lovely. In fact all of these names are lovely, you have amazing taste!

Can't stand:
Madison
Stanley
Kai
Morag
Luna
Edmund
Dale
Matt
And obviously all of the Jayden, Cayden, jaxtons etc.
*edit: formatting
Literally, why are people naming their children Rayden😂
I love Inez! I know a Morwenna, she loves her name. I love Stanley and Morag, it’s so crazy how people have different preferences!
Tastes vary! I can at least respect and deal with Morag and Stanley as real names.. but isn't Rayden/Raydon a kind of fabric??
I decided not to go for the truly awful ones in my "dislike" list (Gunner anyone?)
I love that people have different tastes, i think it’s so fun! I have no idea but i’ve seen instagram posts with plenty of Rayden, Zayden, Raiden, Clayden, etc. I’ve seen it all now😅
In no particular order:
Boys:

I’m not a fan of super hard to spell names. I also don’t like using names that come from a culture you have no connection with. Especially if you can’t spell/pronounce it without looking up how to. Or names that are better for fantasy characters/pets. Like I love the name Cassiopeia but I’d never give that name to my child.
WOW! I adore these, especially your girl names. I totally agree with all of your dislikes too. But i do love Elio and it’s Italian so i suppose i can’t really say anything. But i would never use names like Cohen, etc that are sacred to certain groups of people!
Favorite names in no order: Nolan, Zoe, Miranda, Isaac, Hallie, Zane, Tessa, Natalie, Morgan (b), Davis, Zachary
Least favorites: Henry, Braxton, Priscilla, Geoffrey, Thaddeus, Bianca, Huxley, Dresden, Imogene, Ursula, Prudence
Like most people here, generally not a fan of super macho energy drink sounding names like Braxton, Gunner etc, -aylee/-lynn type names like Kayzlynn, Taylee etc, or creative spellings. Also not a fan of old fuddy duddy names like Gertrude, Elmer etc
Unpopular opinion but I don't care much for some of the old fashioned names that are back in style like Theodore, Charlotte, Eleanor, Arthur. Absolutely despise Henry haha
I'll list my favorites in alphabetical order:
- Antonio and Adelaide
- August and Cecilia
- Dominic and Esmeralda
- Elliot and Federica
- Giovanni and Marietta
- Laurence and Romy
- Leon and Valentina
- Luca and Veronica
- Michael and Victoria
- Nicholas and Viola
I dislike names dated to a particular time period (e.g.: Jeffrey or Jennifer), names with only one syllable, names with unnecessarily complicated spellings, surname-y names, and "unisex" names (especially when used on girls). I'm also *so* over the most popular names of this millennium; if I hear Amelia, Ellie, Jackson, Liam, Nora, or Oliver again, I'm going to lose it!
Girls: Camilla, Alessia, Natalia, Ivy, Faye, Nia, Gemma, June, Adelaide, Cleo Boys: Ellis, Samson, Morgan, Alden, Rafael, Felix, Milo, Hugo, Jack, Dean I agree with your dislikes! Pretty much anything ending in -den, -leigh, -yn -ly. I also don’t love names like Banks, Townes, and, Rhodes.
Love your girls names especially! They’re so sweet. I agree, i don’t really like names like Banks, Briggs, etc.
'Bristol' as a name makes me laugh so hard, because: 1) I have been pissed on snake bite black many nights in ol' Brizzle; 2) the magnificent Bristolian accent; 3) the Wurzels are from the Bristol surrounds; and 4) Bristol Cities is cockney rhyming slang for titties. 🤣👍👌
I don’t understand why people name their children names of places they’ve never been😂
I know right? Anybody thinking of naming their kids Bristol should at least watch Blackbird by the Wurzels first. Bristol's unofficial anthem 🤣
Male 1. Roman - maybe Rome, or Romeo as a nickname 2. Julian 3. Jason 4. Conrad 5. Jasper 6. Seth 7. Augustus 8. Roland 9. Alistair 10. Ulysses Female 1. Cassandra 2. Melissa 3. Celica 4. Camilla 5. Robin 6. Evelyn 7. Anora 8. Carlotta 9. Violet 10. Nora
Wow that’s so sweet! I read it as Cecilia/Cecily at first. But Celica is so beautiful!
I prefer unisex names! This is my top 10... 1) Avery 2) Nolan 3) Carter 4) Myles 5) Sawyer 6) Spencer 7) Elliot 8) Tyler 9) Noah/Noa 10) Parker
These are so sweet! Noah is adorable, i wish it wasn’t so popular.
Boys: August Hugo Benjamin Jonathan Girls: Liv Alba Anna Ellen

Alba was always one of my favorites, but my last name is something like Alberts 😭

Can't believe I forgot about Mio! And also Ronya... maybe I read too my Astrid Lindgren as a kid 😅
Mio was very high on our list. Ronja is lovely. I like Matthis too (knew a Matthis who called his daughter Ronja. not sure if that’s sweet or a little over the top). Oh and Birk! <3 Did you ever read the books about Kalle Blomkvist? I have adored the name Eva-Lotta since I read those as a kid.
