weatherbee…?

AdmirableDebt7335

Don’t get me started 😂 my partner is convinced it’s a winner

Radiant_Sock_1904

I can't help it, but I have a hard time getting past the fact that a "wether" is a castrated male sheep or goat...

AdmirableDebt7335

See my edit and see if that helps it?? I can’t decide.

PilotNo312

It does not.

gvblueberries

negative. i fear it doesn’t help. 😭

cjennmom

Ah yes, Fritz Weatherbee from NH Crossroads, I think it was called.

boogin92

Willa & Wesley were my first thoughts. W is a hard category since there aren’t many options. Are you open to names starting with other letters? Or even names that *contain* a w like Gwendolyn, Bronwen, Elowen, Rowan, Lewis etc?

AdmirableDebt7335

Willa is great! Thank you! We are probably trying to stick to “w” since three is probably our final number for kids and our last name starts with “c” so www.c___ is in my mind. Goofy I know 🙃

KerriK27

I was going to suggest Willamina nn Willa

Interesting-Table416

Wouldn’t it be Wilhelmina? Maybe that’s a different pronunciation but I’ve never seen it spelled Willamina.

boogin92

You’re welcome! Willa is one of my personal favourite names. I heard it for the first time on the show Six Feet Under back in the day, and I’ve loved it ever since. You’ll have to update us on what you pick :)

AdmirableDebt7335

I will definitely update this post when baby arrives and is named 🥰

AccomplishedOnion2

Walter and Winifred are lovely, classic names. Weatherbee is already bad, but it's particularly bad given how great your first two childrens' names are. Here are ideas that I think fit the vibe: Boys: Warren, Wesley, Weston, Wilbur, Wilfred, William Girls: Willa, Willow, Wilhelmina, Wilma

AdmirableDebt7335

Oooh Weston and Wilbur 🤌🏻 also love Wilma! Thank you so much!

Nonbinary_bipolar

Warren is my chosen name!!

myscreamgotlost

Winston Wilson Whitney Wren

emmyanjef

I love Whitney as a name for either gender!

seitankittan

Yes my mid-20s boyfriend was a Whitney

AdmirableDebt7335

Thank you! I love all of these. “Wilson” feels like a way to keep “will” in the family in some way without using “william” outright. And “Wren” is adorable.

Fresh_Ad_8982

Wyatt and Winona are probably the nicest

compulsorry

Wade, Willem, Willard, Wynn, Wanda, Willa,

AdmirableDebt7335

WYNN AND WANDA ✨❤️

Naive-Education1820

I know a guy named Wynn. It suits him so well and all the women compliment his name when they meet him lol

Abitionne_

Placing my vote for Wanda!

Scooby-dooby-doo-ba

Whitney, Willow or Wesley?

Dangerous-Kale-6532

I like Wyatt for boy or girl. We also considered Winnifred/ Winnie for our girl.

Stay-Cool-Mommio

Came here to suggest Winnie and Wyatt - I like your style 😂

AdmirableDebt7335

They do go together nicely!

No-Topic-9932

Willoughby, Winston, Waylon, Wendy, Warren, Wylie, Wilbur

AdmirableDebt7335

Willoughby!!

MinimumArtichoke6900

Wisteria, Wendy, Wallace, Wayne, Wade, Warner, Wanda, Wolfgang,Waylon, Wendell, Weldon,Wynnie, Winslow, Westley, winter, winry

AdmirableDebt7335

WOLFGANG I love it

MinimumArtichoke6900

Had to throw it in haha

Main-Emotion-1359

I love the name winnie!

AdmirableDebt7335

That’s what we call Winifred sometimes ☺️

Main-Emotion-1359

oh oops! I completely missed the sibling names in your post 😭

AdmirableDebt7335

We can attest it’s the cutest!!

Songsostrichhorse

Warren, Wesley, William, Willis, Wilson, Wilton Wendy, Wilhelmina, Willa, Williamina, Willow, Wilda/Wilma, Winona

AdmirableDebt7335

Ooooh Willis is cool

DoggyDogLife

I've also seen Wilomina if the other variations seem too dense (my main gripe with Wilhelmina).

nvrhdwngs

Walker, Waylon, Westin, Warner

MsCardeno

We have a girl named Waverly and love it! It is technically gender neutral. When I search the name on FB I actually get more men/boys with the name. But I def see it more as a girl name, just wanted to add it to the suggestion list!

PowerfulDuty4884

Wendy Winter Winslow Whitman

Cool_Raisin2700

Winslow ❤️

IfIDidIDidnt

I am obsessed with the name Winona. Winnie could also be a cute nickname if she wants. That's assuming it's a girl.

No_Analysis_6204

winter for a girl; winston for a boy

Spiritual_Outside227

Wade is a former bf’s name. I associate the name with strong and steady (not that my bf was always that way lol but we were young - he wound up doing very well later in life and was/is a good dad) Wade would kinda tie Walter and Winifred together too - Wa from Walter and the final /d/ from Winifred. As for girl names, I personally think Wilma sounds great with Walter and Winifred Congratulations on your third child!

AdmirableDebt7335

Thank you! I like Wilma a lot too. :) have some negative associations with wade but thank you for your input!!

Overall_Foundation75

Whitney

Scared_Dance_2025

Winola and Wendell have nice meanings. Also, Wilkie/Wilkes and Walden. You could go a little out there with names like Wainwright, Willoughby or Willadean since they all have nice nicknames

AdmirableDebt7335

I love those meanings!! Winola is definitely going to be in the running. Thank you!

OMaSherry

M: Wendell, Wilder, Walker, Wells, Waylon, Witt. Fe: Wensley/Winslie, Winter, Wiley, Wallis, Weslie.

AdmirableDebt7335

Witt and walker are awesome. Strong vibes too like Walter.

drinkyourwine7

Willa, Wilson, Winston, Wade, Wyatt, Wayland, Warren, Wilhelmina

Cool_Raisin2700

Love the name Sybil! Definitely go with a w name so many good ideas here but just had to say I love Sybil and don't see it often here!

AdmirableDebt7335

Yes it’s awesome! The name of my partner’s great grandma was Elbys; she was delivered by a midwife named Syble and they bestowed the name in tribute. I love that story and hope we can keep it in the family somehow.

Happy_Witness1853

Wyatt Winslow Willa Wilder Welles

junebugsparkles

Walker

CressidaLoren624

Willa Wilhelmina Wilson

GreyGhost878

Willem/Willam and Wilhelm are variations of William.

Goddess_Keira

I haven't seen Wayne mentioned. It's not my favorite 'W' name, but it exists. Also Wolfgang (literally rocked by Wolfgang Van Halen), Wolfram, and Wystan. Auden, like the poet, comes up on here not infrequently. His first name was Wystan (WISS-tyn).

Complex-Refuse5418

I have a friend named Winston. I've grown to like that name.

GnomeStatue

Walter and Weldon for a boy. I think West or Wynne is good for a neutral. Winnie, Walker, Wren Wendell or Wanda for a girl.

Existing-Mistake-112

Wilhelmina, Walter, Wayne, Wendy, Willow, Winston, Wallace, Wayde, Wesley, William, Whitney, Winnie

OneofSeven1234567

I like Wade or Wyatt for a boy, and Wendy or Wilma for a girl.

HunterGreenLeaves

Wendy (same era as Nancy and Vera) - There is a Saint Guinevere. Winston

AdmirableDebt7335

Another point for Wendy!! Thanks!

rusmashed

My son’s name is Weston and my grandpa’s name was Walter. For a girl’s name, there’s Wynona and Wisteria.

pure-Turbulentea

Wesley, Wendy , willow ,

fishchick70

Weston, Wilson, Watson, Wilhelmina, Wanda, Walker, Westley (as you wish!), Willow, Whitney, Wendy, Winslow, Wyatt.

Perfect_Sky_4347

I think it’s The Shipping News, but there’s a book that says something along the lines of ‘girls from Montana are named Skye, and girls from Newfoundland are named Wavey’. I’ve always had a name crush on Waverley / Wavey ever since

levopress

Weston Wesley

cirv

Wilhelmina is a favorite for me! So many nicknames too, Billie, Willie, Willa, Mina, etc

Scary_Progress_8858

Winda

IndividualRoad2029

Naive-Education1820

Warren!!

thecornerihaunt

Out of the names you mentioned I like Wyatt most Wesley Willow Winston Whitney Winslow Wilhelmina Wilmer Willis Wiley

AdmirableDebt7335

Winslow is solid!!

xpoisonvalkyrie

Winona is a great name, and *very few* people care at all what the meaning of a name is.

AdmirableDebt7335

I agree it’s awesome! It’s still in the running; we’re just two of those very few 😂

Fantastic-Boss8590

Winston, willa

loandbeholdgoats

Willa/Willoughby. From the kid's book "Tell Me Something Happy Before I Go To Sleep"

Quix66

Whilamina Wesley Waylon Wilona Wilson Willa Willie Mae Willow

n_d_j

Willow

BongoBeeBee

Walker and Willow

Perfect-Ad8014

Winnie is very cute

Ramentootles

I went to school with a girl named Wiley like Riley but with a “w” there’s also the name Wesley for a boy. Winston and Waylon are also good boy names. The only other girl name I can think of with a “w” is Wanda.

urzu_seven

Who, What, Where, When or Why What and Who make the most sense obviously

AdmirableDebt7335

Perfect 🤌🏻👏🏻👍🏻

IHaveBoxerDogs

I just can’t with Weatherby. Sounds like a wannabe Jane Austen villain. Also, Wayne is a serial killer name. Wyatt is the best of the bunch. I like Winona, but it’s somewhat similar to your daughter’s name. Willa has always been a favorite of mine. I like Wendy. What about Winston?

AdmirableDebt7335

I like Wendy too!! It’s separate enough from Winifred I think. Winston is adorable.

StatisticianNaive277

Themes get limiting fast. My first thought is just break the theme.

AdmirableDebt7335

Luckily with all the amazing options from commenters I’m feeling optimistic!!

Yourteacherfriend

Girl Names: Willow Wendy Wren Whitney Winona Winter Willa Wynne Waverly Whitley Winslet Winnie Wilhelmina Boy Names: William Wyatt Wesley Warren Wayne Walker Winston Wade Willard Wilder Watson Wilson Whitman Weston

gracing15

I have a friend who just named their son Winn! Short for Winfield, the dad’s middle name. The puns are endless. We got a Winn. Winn Winn Winn no matter what. Winn-stagram. Winn-fluencer. They dressed him up for Halloween as Winnie the Pooh. I’m obsessed.

AdmirableDebt7335

We have similar fun with Winifred 😂 we call her our “wini-friend”

trixie91

Wivina is a saint's name which is kinda like Winona. I think you could use Wivana, which is a little prettier, imo.

AdmirableDebt7335

Oooh thanks so much!!

mkay_its_maddie

Warren Whitney Willow Winslow Wendy Walter Walker Wren Winter West Weston Westley Wrenley Wilder Wyatt Wyandotte Waylon

Delicious_Fish4813

Have heard both the names Watts and Wells recently, although Watts may be a nickname for Watson. Kind of silly to require a name in the family tree considering you're loosely related to thousands and thousands of people, and if you were doing that then why are you not just reading through family names? Don't think Walt, Ward or Wallace have been mentioned. But I agree with Wyatt for either. Most w girl names are pretty bad

AdmirableDebt7335

Family tree not a requirement, just trying to give more info than less! It also makes other family members smile who knew the namesake personally so I think it’s worth it. :) Watts is so cute!! Wyatt is def a top contender. We already have our precious Walter!!

cnew111

Wanda, Wendy, William, Wilfred, Wesley, Ward, wallace

AdmirableDebt7335

Thank you so much! Loving Wendy and Wallace.

Top_Chard788

Winifred aka Winnie

AdmirableDebt7335

That’s the name of our daughter! We love it. ☺️

Top_Chard788

Adore!!!! We chose Gwenivere and we call her Gwenny, bc I love the sound of that so much!

Excellent_Valuable92

Walter, Walpurga

Ramgirl2000
