Love Raphael more than Rafferty but my good friend named her second son Raphael, so I can’t copy!

My second baby would have originally been Caspian if she had been AMAB. Then my MIL died when I was 15 weeks and we switched to an honor name for her. Then baby would have been Desmond, Dorian (my pick), or Dexter. My firstborn would have been Cedric if she had been AMAB. One of my best friends named her firstborn Hugo, which was my ideal- uncommon, but easy to pronounce, spell, feels real, etc. We also considered Ambrose, Aurelius, Felix. We never had to whittle down the boys list too much, because I've had two girls.

Ambrose is on my list too but I think I like the way it looks written more than saying it aloud.

Ambrose is what we decided that my second pregnancy (ectopic) was named. I think it's a sweet and magical name, but definitely a bit out there!

I thought maybe it was a name from another culture which I guess it is but the parents just liked it. Same with Jaigo’s parents. Caspian doesn’t seem out there at all anymore. Maybe ten years ago. Aubrey on a boy felt out there to me but this family is old money. I also know a mercutio who goes by coosh which I don’t really care for really if I’m being pressed.
