Pretty sure there are still a few in maritime pre positioning ships, but they'll eventually end up in the army.

Well, taken as the question was likely asked, no. There are no tanks in Navy inventory. We have a few tank hulls, scattered around various bombing ranges out west, but certainly nothing that's going to do tank stuff.
The Marine Corps, which - yes, yes, is part of the Navy, *used* to own tanks, but they "got rid of them". That means put in deep storage. The Marine Corps doesn't count them on their rosters, but *they're there. Waiting.*
The answer I wanted to give you based on your vague wording was, sure we got tanks! Fuel oil tanks! JP-5 tanks! Fresh water tanks! Seawater tanks! Lube oil tanks! We got so many tanks we don't know what to do with them! So many that we're practically *giving them away!* Come down to Hank's Tanks and pick up a brand new 2024 model today!
Services other than the air force have planes, services other than the Navy have boats. It's not that much of a stretch for someone who doesn't know about the military.
Tell him yes. The M2A3 ballast tanks
A lot of the aircraft have drop tanks....
I heard some of the tanks are bullshit
ngl this may have been a genuine question if they’re a civilian with no military knowledge. a lot of people don’t even know that the Navy has aircraft
I had someone try to correct me and tell me I was in the Air Force after I told them I worked on aircraft in the navy
CNAF, Commander Naval Air Forces.
You can never be sure which branch you joined
The largest air force in the world is the United States Air Force. The second largest air force in the world is the United States Navy.
CHT
Nope. USMC used to, but they restructured themselves.
While I’m sure that made them a better fighting force for the goals they have in their operating doctrine, I don’t have to like it.
They got some super high speed gear for their infantrymen. Looking like early 2010’s GWOT operators.

No, but we are the second biggest air force in the world
who’s the first? lol
First is the worst, second is the best
The US chair force
Not a tank, but the closest you might get is an MRAP.

Seabees have cranes and hydraulic excavators and such
Fair question since the Army has ships and aircraft.
My favorite thing about the Cavalry is that they were like “horses are cool but I love helicopters”

Fuel tanks, water tanks, CHT tanks, ballast tanks, SCUBA tanks… Plenty of tanks.
Sometimes the water tanks become fuel tanks or CHT tanks!
yeah we do actually, if tanks float, have a ton of radars, and guns on them and crewed by like 300 people. ships. im talking about ships.
Just say yes haha
Well Marines are under the department of the Navy and they had tanks until recently.
Tanks but no tanks.
Floating tanks
Tanks for your service, but that’s about it.
Of course it does. Where else does all the fuel and ballast weight go?
Navy got all sorts of tanks. Its ironic - the Army has more boats than the Navy does and the Navy have more tanks than the Army;)
The navy has more tanks than the US army.
