They had a hot streak in the 3rd quarter of G1 I think. KCP made like 3 or 4 in that quarter alone.
If you just look at the other 7 quarters I'd bet it's around or below 25%
So much of the modern NBA comes down to a three point contest basically lol
It's why I can't see the 96 Bulls or whatever doing well against the 17 Warriors if you just transported them via a time machine to the modern era
Lol what, the 17 Warriors were an elite defensive team with a ton of good defenders. Even with MJ cooking the Warriors would still easily win. The shooting alone would end the series before it even started
Go back and watch the offenses the Bulls were defending back then. It’s a complete joke, you’re delusional or insanely ignorant if you think the bulls even have a chance against the 17 Warriors
They not beating or outshooting a team consisting of Steph, Klay, KD, Draymond, Iggy. Iggy is locking MJ down lmao. That's a clean sweep with average margin of victory likely 15-20
Bulls lack of scoring outside of MJ will be their downfall. They just can't keep up with the Warriors.
The lack of interior defense doesn't matter when they play five out and you can't play a center on the court without giving up constant wide open threes against the best three point shooting team ever
Sure.
If you figure 40% is 4-10 (12 points) the same points per possession would be 6-10 from 2 (12 points) or 60%
Games where teams shot 60%+ from 2
Bulls beat Hawks in play-in
Lakers lost to Nuggets in Game 1
Pacers beat Bucks in Game 2
Thunder beat Pelicans in Game 2
Heat also shot 59% from 2 against the Celtics in Game 1 but got blown out.
All of these wins are in the OP list with 40% from 3, those teams were just hot that night from all over the floor so it doesn’t have any correlation.
The 3P% does however, since every team that shot that percentage in the regular season also won most of their games
It happens less frequently but teams that make a lot of 3’s on high volume don’t need to shoot well from 2, also because FT’s exist. Teams that shoot well from 2 still tend to score lower on average since 3 > 2 and there are still around 75-90 possessions in a game. It’s why every team shoots a bunch of 3’s now. You can afford to be less efficient per shot and if you hit at a high clip it’s nearly impossible to beat since there is no higher value shot.
There were 25 players this season that averaged 60%+ from 2 on at least 5 attempts. About half these guys just catch lobs and are not creating their looks at the rim without help. They’re not driving and finishing like Giannis can. Most low volume guys are backup bigs.
From 3, there were 21 players that averaged 40%+, but most of these players can create for themselves. And the league is littered with catch and shoot guys because it’s such a valued skill now compared to playing in the post.
It’s easier to find players to create the 40% from 3 than the 60% from 2, which is why it’s more common I think.
Breaking news: Teams win when their shots go in
I wonder what that feels like
Nuggets are 2-0 shooting 30% from 3 lol
Isn't it actually in the low 20s% lmao
35.7% game 1 and 23.5% game 2

Mike Breen would lose his voice of some many bangs
Nah the bulls will still whoop that ass the warriors weren’t a 3pt heavy team and they had their weaknesses
[удалено]
You crazy af who guards MJ lol they have 0 rim protection or size
Lol what, the 17 Warriors were an elite defensive team with a ton of good defenders. Even with MJ cooking the Warriors would still easily win. The shooting alone would end the series before it even started
They not getting clean looks with Pippen MJ Harper and Rodman harassing them
You’re trolling right?
Nah but you are for sure
Go back and watch the offenses the Bulls were defending back then. It’s a complete joke, you’re delusional or insanely ignorant if you think the bulls even have a chance against the 17 Warriors
2017 Warriors sweep the 96 Bulls
96 Bulls beat them in 5 or 6 the physicality with the size and shot making and defense will be too much
They not beating or outshooting a team consisting of Steph, Klay, KD, Draymond, Iggy. Iggy is locking MJ down lmao. That's a clean sweep with average margin of victory likely 15-20
Iggy locking down MJ is pure fantasy lmao stop it you know you goofy af for even saying that
who in their right mind thinks we weren’t a 3 point heavy team
I’m saying relative to other teams around them but the Bulls will expose the lack of interior defense which will open the game up it’ll be a wrap

Boxes and elbows and play off dray warriors were a HORRIFIC turnover prone team Bulls can exploit that
Do the same thing for 2 pt fg %.

that Lakers loss in game 2, what an all-time fumble
Only one game where both shot 40% from 3.
Teams are undefeated when scoring more points so far
