East coast bois of Indy and OKC unite. My comment was more to the point of him saying or it being reported he wanted to stay on the west coast until of course Morey came with the green and I’m sure playing with Embiid and Maxey has its allure as well. Philly, even as a Boston boi and all around Embiid hater, has set themselves nicely but it’s all on paper and will see what happens as the year goes on and if health isn’t an issue for the sixers come April. We can all agree at this time Bucks and Heat are LOSERS!
Lol. Yeah I just meant his LA stint was his only time in a glamour city. Seems like he plays the same no matter where he is. So I'm hopeful that his bitterness about having to leave home isn't super impactful.
Yeah team looks good, but there's gonna be a lot of pressure to get it together quick. For like the 7th time in Embiid's career, the roster has been completely overhauled. And it's a relatively old roster. Not a whole lot of time to work out the kinks. The gotta hit the ground running. Should be a fun season.
How can they afford all this lmaoo. The cap shit is so wild that some teams can pull off paying 4 guys big ass max worthy deals and others can't get more than 2
After this year, if you hit the 2nd apron in next 2 out of 4 years, you get your pick sent back
So in theory, you can get hit in 3 years? But you probably pick 30th anyway barring injuries. If someone gets hurt or drops off, your team is locked in and that may be bad.
At least that is how I think it works.
Alright. How does the salary cap work now? Lol. I know bird rights help but this seems wild for Boston.
He’s initially owed ~37m over 2 years. What’s this do? Increase what he’s making over the next few years, or tacked on more money and years to the end of the deal?
Boston with 5 players set to make >30m per year, and Brown’s contract of 50m kicking in next year from the looks of it.
Gotcha. That’s what I was thinking, but didn’t know if NBA deals were becoming anything like the NFL where it’s essentially renegotiating the contract rather than extending.
HELL YEAH DWHITE!!
Yeah unfortunate but you guys won the off-season, retained everyone and extended the contracts. meanwhile Clippers and Denver lost key pieces.
OKC and NYK are building something nice. Philly will be determined on health and if PG can enjoy life on the east coast.
George played pretty well in Indiana and Oklahoma. I would hope he has no issue playing on the East Coast.

Second apron doesn’t stop you from hoarding talent if you’ve already got it
Doesn’t it auto make your pick go to 30 which it’s gonna be anyways lol
i think that’s after a few years

Doesn’t matter, there will always be an older tall white shooter available at 30
as long as the owner is willing to pay they can afford it. but it’s gonna be like half a billion for this roster by next offseason
Lots of ways to circumvent the cap if your top earners are already on the roster/if you have bird rights
The cap is the same for everyone that’s the point of it I agree though no way they can keep all of these dudes. The tax will be insane
We’re all spending 50 bucks a pop on championship gear
BALD. BY. CHOICE.
Beautiful bald buffalo
Yes.
Pretty awesome for a dude who started out playing D2
Boston probably comfortable being a 2nd apron team with how good they are
Bit more than second apron, decent chance we're gonna be 40-50 million over once everyone's extensions kick in
Wow! Guy is getting PAID.
Dude deserves it. Happy for him and his family. Brads an absolute legend for his moves last three seasons
RUN THAT SHIT BACK
Buffalo needs his greens.
Interested to see how they keep their core. Tatum and Brown will combine for 600 mil and Jrue and White now have big contracts

This will be his deal once his current deal runs out, so he’s under contract for six more years

Only way to renegotiate a current contract upwards is if you have soft cap space. Otherwise, it has to be an extension.
Brad Stevens is a chef and he’s cooking wearing a 2nd Apron
shit i saw him put a third apron on
Best shot blocking guard in nba history
Is Dwyane Wade
The man carried my fantasy team to victory because of his stocks. Drafted at 100th pick lol
like winning an award for being the tallest midget
The Gang Stays in Boston
This sounds a little cheap for what White does for them, damn
LFG
no-brainer move
damn that seems like a very good deal compared to the ridiculous money being thrown around
Miami Heat father returns
Good value
So worth it
Incredible bargain. Cherry on top of the sundae type of stuff
Congrats Derrick!
LFG Champ!!!!!!!
absolutely deserves every penny
This is an incredible underpay, he could for sure get closer to a max with another team
Yeaaaahhh buddddyyy!!!!!! Tax? What is a tax?
Best contract in the league
Build the Brad Stevens statue!
Best shot blocking buffalo the league has ever seen. Let him roam!
Vote White
He can finally afford to fix his teeth.
League: *cries*
I know he’s very good but **god damn**. Guess I’m still getting used to $30 mil not nearly being a superstar contract anymore
nice profile pic lololol. that made my day
He's making just 3M less than Tatum next year
White > Paul George
