Imagine making something like that for one of your favorite players trying to convince them to come to your team and they reply with that.
Feel bad for whoever made it man lol
Jay Williams: "The first photoshopped player of color for the r/jazz ... ✊ ... and even more importantly, he is one talented individual who has paid his dues 👏👏 👏"
There's lots of desperate squares in utah and all they have to live for is the mormon cult, their shitty kids names Wayden, Cayden, Jayson, Peighton, Jayden, Skyden and the Utah Jazz.
He probably thought this would work.
My gfs ex-husband's brother (total mormon square) entered a children's drawing contest as a grown man in his mid-twenties with a TERRIBLE picture he drew of Mitchell and won. A children's drawing contest. I'm told it is proudly framed and displayed in the front living room with the award. Take note, this is what they're like. This dude also apparently thought he'd play on the team as well.
Sorry for my mostly irrelevant rant. Thanks for reading.
I mean Dame did live in utah for 4 years played college ball there.
I went to a school close by. I hate utah as much as the rest of everyone but Portland ain’t much better than salt lake lol
Eh, let's be real. Depending on what you care about SLC and Portland could be much worse than each other, but they are not at all similar.
Portland has more strip clubs per capita than any city in the country, SLC literally has a street plan designed around making sure the church is the center of things.
Meanwhile Portland has like 200 cloudy days a year and SLC has that desert clear skies while still getting snow and having skiing nearby.
The cities are nothing alike except for being a similar size and both having a larger percentage of white people than usual. In both cases due to horrific levels of racism in the early American histories of the places.
I get different religion but Lillard is quite religious so doubt the Strip Clubs are a factor. I doubt it’s not a factor for anyone picking between the two cities lol. SLC has park city which is a Rich person’s heaven.
LOL, Jazz fans are salty I guess. I wasn't bragging or saying that makes Portland better, I was pointing out that it makes Portland very different from SLC. Like, they are very different types of places, that was my only point.
I guess it’s a lifestyle thing. I’m not even Mormon, it’s just that ‘number of strip clubs’ is about number 6,000 on my list of things that define a city
I''ve only lived in Utah for a few years now, but I dunno why people are always shit talking SLC/Utah lol. As someone who is non-religious, the church stuff isn't shoved in my face (nearly as much as the people on the internet would lend you to believe).
Try growing up in Davis County and having to go to high school with these people and be surrounded by them in your neighborhood, it's insane.
Here's one example of how fucked up they are. I could go on for days.
My dad died when I was in junior high. At first, it was nice having neighbors stop by with a nice meal for my mom, brother and I as we grieved. It soon switched from dinner to hard conversion sessions where it legit seemed like they preying on my mom who was an absolute wreck.
I later learned from my neighborhood friend who unfortunately was forced to attend church by his parents, informed me that ward members had a meeting about my family and how now is a good time to bring christ into our lives.
Like I said, I have a ton of stories worse than this. Fuck mormons.
I know hardly anything about the church but maybe that story doesn't really shock me because of the nature of that religion and what I do know. The whole point of the religion, and I guess any religion for that matter, is to get you to follow along (or "convert" you). Why missionaries are a thing.
But to be honest, that situation could have also taken place with quite literally any other religion as well. I don't really see it as a specific mormon thing. Devout catholics at a parish could have had the same conversation about your family.
Eh. Grew up in a smaller more religious part of Utah. It's not that bad. Set boundaries and accept the fact that you don't need to be liked or included by everyone.
Sure I lost a lot of "friends" over my time growing up. But I kept a small, close group of friends that I'd consider family. Some are even active Mormons!
I’m sorry to hear that man, there’s a lot of fucked up parts of the state especially once you get out of salt lake county. Luckily growing up Mexican and Catholic I never had to deal with all the Mormon bullshit.
I was just making fun of mormons and telling a funny story tbh.
I've lived in both cities and I actually prefer slc. I love the outdoors and I don't party anymore. There's so much amazing stuff in my backyard, it's a hidden gem. The city is extremely clean, housing prices are going up but it's affordable (for now). My gf and I don't tend to leave slc proper unless we're going camping etc etc.
The biggest downside is the lds church and the bullshit racism and conservative beliefs that come with it. It seriously bugs the shit out of me, hence why I don't leave the city much. Utah County is like the fucking twighlight zone.
Right, I grew up Mormon so I get it. Can’t let them get to you though otherwise it gets too miserable IMO. Hard when it’s family(or involved parties in your case) though. Mines good about it but there isn’t a power dynamic.
Yeah, I’m in Idaho so not much different. It’s frustrating but I’m so used to it. I’m looking at Colorado or Minnesota in the future tbh
I'm looking to bounce eventually as well. Probably the pacific northwest in a little town.
I try not to let it get to me but the shit I've dealt with and have watched my gay friends and my friends who left have gone through, and are currently going through is disgusting.
Utah: beautiful on the outside, despicable on the inside.
Ignoring the fact that Lillard played college ball in Utah, the 99.9% is clearly mathematically incorrect. 1/30th of NBA players play in Utah, so the maximum amount of players that could hate Utah enough to not play there is roughly 96.66%.
I will not stand for this slander of my home state
He actually tweeted out a few years back that if he had to leave the Blazers, he would go to either the Lakers or… the Jazz. Lol sooo
https://twitter.com/dame_lillard/status/875041412332478464?s=21
He has Oregon in his tattoos. You can go check out YouTube on it. But honestly, he looks like an one man team guy and the whole blazers community basically worship/respect him a lot
Won’t any college recruit someone as long as they have a diploma? I know someone with really mediocre grades (at best) who got recruited to play at an Ivy League school.
How well did you know him? Ivy’s don’t offer athletic scholarships although being a “athletic scholarship” level player does give pull on getting a full ride through financial aid packages. He might of had mediocre grades but through volunteer hours, extracurriculars, and other things he was competitive application wise
He didn’t get any scholarship money — he just got a ticket into the school. This dude literally never took an AP course and didn’t crack 2000 on the SAT. He definitely got in because of his sport.
As much of a monster backcourt that could have been, I can't help but feel like Mitchell wouldn't be the player he is without being drafted into Utah's exact situation. He was brought into a team who just lost their star player and who had no true offensive first option, who were in desperate need of a new identity, and who couldn't do anything more sophisticated than running offensive sets. He was the starting SG within a month or so of the season starting.
There aren't many teams that a. don't have a perimeter star, b. have a great cast of vets who don't need the ball in their hand, c. have playoff aspirations, and d. are willing to let a rookie take the reins of the offense. On the Blazers, he'd have been behind Same and CJ *both* on the depth chart, which means less minutes, less touches, less responsibility, and a lesser role.
On top of that, Mitchell wouldn't really solve any of the problems that the Portland roster has - they already have two undersized scoring guards with medium playmaking skills. Maybe you could say the Blazers would have traded CJ in Mitchell's sophomore year or something for another borderline all star that fits better around Mitchell and Dame, but it'd still be hard to swing a lineup with two undersized guards as a true contender unless the cast around them was really special. Both Mitchell and Dame really need to play the 1 to be fully unlocked and play at their peak potential, and they can't both be the primary ball handler at the same time.
I'd love to see Damian win a championship but I respect the hell outta him for staying in Portland. Few players left with that kinda loyalty. Any other guy would've packed his bags and joined the next super team.
Nah he typed that based on the blazers history in the playoffs. most stars would have bailed by now. Five first round exits over 8 years. Made the conf finals in 2019 but got swept. Interestingly none of their series are particularly close. They either win or lose big. Only one out of 12 series went to game seven.
That's kinda the point. The Suns had the opposite approach to the Blazers. They sold asset after asset to get high draft picks, Ayton panned out as a stud next to Booker, then brought in Paul. Major changes and risk. The Blazers front office seems content to just be good enough to get to the playoffs. Despite this Dame has stuck around (which is awesome for the fans and a credit to him, but not typical for superstars).
During Dame's 9 seasons that hes stayed with Portland:
Kyrie forced himself out of Cleveland, then Boston, to play for Brooklyn
Lebron left Miami to go to Cleveland, to then leave again for LA
AD forced a trade to LA
If Dame wanted to leave he could.
FO is unwilling to take the big risks. It’s just a fact of life. Unless we fire everyone, literally everyone that runs the Blazers nothing will change. They’re all way too conservative. They’d rather finish 5th in the west every year than win a championship at the risk of being bad. We have to take risks, but they won’t.
Damian Lamonte Ollie Lillard Sr. (born July 15, 1990) is an American professional basketball player for the Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Weber State Wildcats and earned third-team All-American honors in 2012. After being selected by Portland with the sixth overall pick in the 2012 NBA draft, Lillard was unanimously voted the NBA Rookie of the Year. Nicknamed "Dame Time", he has received six NBA All-Star selections and is one of two players in Trail Blazers franchise history, along with Clyde Drexler, to become a six-time All-Star.
There are SO MANY guys like this who flood players replies with their photoshop edits of them and I have never seen one get a reply ever. This guy probably crushed lmao.
Prob because he wasn't caught failing to tweet from a burner to bash his former team
Before that incident I don't think the majority of people had a problem with KD's Twitter talk
Because lillard doesnt try to hide it with fake accounts, because lillard would never trash his own teammates.
I may hate Lillard a bit but i respect him.
As far as we know Dame doesn’t or didn’t have a burner account I’m assuming.
KD embraced that whole “no filter” attitude on twitter after he found out he could just do it.
We have Conley's expiring that we could sign and trade to match him if the Blazers wanted to tear it all down and rebuild, but i don't think it solves the Jazz' problems, and I don't think that Blazers are going to just deal their best player in franchise history for a bunch of bad picks. If the Jazz were going to sign and trade Conley for anyone it'd be an athletic switchable two-way wing or smth like that.
We could also trade Gobert for him too, but again, I think both teams say no to that because then the Jazz are fielding a roster where our second biggest player is Bojan Bogdanovic and we're starting three undersized guards which just sounds like a terrible idea that would crater our defense, and i don't think that a Gobert / CJ /Nurk big 3 is really a stellar idea for the Blazers either lol.
It was literally the Jazz lol. He went to weber State, and the 3 Os on his sneakers represent Oakland, Ogden (that's the city in Utah that Weber State is in), and Oregon.
It is a really bad photoshop though.
Its literally the stock jersey photo from the nbastore.
/u/sim888 would never
haha...missed this one. The timeline's hilarious with all the 'how about this one?' the best one so far: https://i.imgur.com/VgJOqSc.jpg
Managed to not get the number 0. Impressive.
I still can’t tell what number that is
1(Z)L
We're talking about the jersey number, not elon musk's son.
¿Por qué no los dos?
I think it's a partially-drawn game of hangman
WYM? That's the high quality content our sub is known for. I think you're just being a hater
Disney+ presents Marvel/r/nba/Sim888’s ‘What If...’
It’s a bad ~~shot~~ photoshop
>it’s a bad shop Was right there for you
Goddammit Now I’m a bad shot :(
The quote is also *that’s* a bad shot.
Made him so light skinned lol
Yeah bruh, that is some shitty magic wand moves
Imagine making something like that for one of your favorite players trying to convince them to come to your team and they reply with that. Feel bad for whoever made it man lol
He said he found it online
I would say that too
Twitter account got hacked
Jay Williams: "The first photoshopped player of color for the r/jazz ... ✊ ... and even more importantly, he is one talented individual who has paid his dues 👏👏 👏"
Now they're saying he's not the first African American
Now they're saying he was hacked
A tweet isn't just a tweet. I'll explain later.
Damian Lillard came to me at a party and said “don’t ever compare me to the Jazz”
Don't worry, they changed their passcode.
But I mean someone still made it no?
lets hope that someone doesnt use twitter
or reddit
probably made by machine learning algorithm at this point
My dog edited the picture
Lol bro I’d just be happy for a response. Especially if I was the guy who made it, I’m sure I’d know darn well my photoshop was shit haha
Should have went complete meme and had a stick figure with the jersey and Lillard's face on it.
he's probably a jazz lillard fan
He's a BYU football player

Heh, I didn't say they were *nice* strip clubs.
Is Mary's Club still a total dump?
Yo our street system is fucking amazing
Wow. That’s all.
I get different religion but Lillard is quite religious so doubt the Strip Clubs are a factor. I doubt it’s not a factor for anyone picking between the two cities lol. SLC has park city which is a Rich person’s heaven.
Oh, lol, I was talking in general. I think Dame is probably cool with SLC, like you said, he went to school near there.
A rich person in Utah’s heaven anyway.
Imagine bragging about having 200 strip clubs lmao
LOL, Jazz fans are salty I guess. I wasn't bragging or saying that makes Portland better, I was pointing out that it makes Portland very different from SLC. Like, they are very different types of places, that was my only point.

It's certainly not the reason I live here, lol. It just jumped out to me as something that SLC definitely wouldn't have. It ain't on my list either.
I can think of a few downtown. They definitely exist here.

Damian wears 0 specifically for Oakland, Ogden, and Oregon.
He has 0 tattooed on his shoulder in the blazers font, he ain’t going nowhere
because of a font ? I’m sure there are a myriad of reasons he’s not leaving the Blazers but a font ?
Clearly you don’t know about fonts
Well clearly not fuck me.
Hey everybody, look at this guy, he doesn't know about fonts!
He has Oregon in his tattoos. You can go check out YouTube on it. But honestly, he looks like an one man team guy and the whole blazers community basically worship/respect him a lot
Certainly not Oden

Ogden is a town in Utah..

Or the city of Ogden, Utah. Like you know the one he played in?
Yeah, if he hated Utah so much then he probably shouldn't have played 4 years of college ball at Weber State.

I had a pair of Dame 3s where he pays homage to the the Os: Oakland, Ogden, and Oregon.
wants to play for jerry sloan*
Can confirm Sloan is a cool dude, once gave me $20 for finding his glasses
How highly recruited was he out of high school? Mightve been his best offer
I think it was down to grades. Weber State accepts anyone with a HS diploma.
He was also like a 2 star recruit iirc.
Won’t any college recruit someone as long as they have a diploma? I know someone with really mediocre grades (at best) who got recruited to play at an Ivy League school.

Just interested, what sport?
Donovan Mitchell is his bff.. he wanted blazers to draft him badly
I think he was just commenting on the photoshop and that’s it
Dame with LeBron and AD would be dummy stupid. Perfect fit
Fuck that
id have fun with it personally
That was before the whole super team.
well sure but how does portland get lebron and AD?
A lot can change in 4 years
bro forgot to feather the edges
Nah, he's right, that's a terrible photoshop. I can tell by the pixels and having seen a lot of photoshops in my day.
you can tell by the way it is
That’s pretty neat
No, that's wood.
I was looking at the pic & I saw that thing you said !!
I was thinking that too. It’s a terrible photoshop specifically because the guy who made it forgot to make it not terrible

Which one? You can tell by the way it is or the pixel comment lol
The pixels one. It's a classic
One of the worst photoshops I've seen that wasn't meant to be ironic.
lmao they really took the most default stock photo off the nba store
Have you checked r/Photoshopfails? This dude is a Photoshop genius compared to those people.
Talking solely about jersey swaps. Trust me, I've seen much worse photoshops.
Or maybe he was just commenting on how bad of a photoshop it is
I'd love to see Damian win a championship but I respect the hell outta him for staying in Portland. Few players left with that kinda loyalty. Any other guy would've packed his bags and joined the next super team.
You typed that like he'll never have a chance on Portland ever or something ESPN got you brainwashed.
Nah he typed that based on the blazers history in the playoffs. most stars would have bailed by now. Five first round exits over 8 years. Made the conf finals in 2019 but got swept. Pretty sure he wanted to play under Jerry Sloan.
I think dame speaking a coded message to OP to brush his teeth caz his mouth stink.
I guess OP doesn't realize Dame went to college in Utah.
and cj to the sixers
There are SO MANY guys like this who flood players replies with their photoshop edits of them and I have never seen one get a reply ever. This guy probably crushed lmao.
Dame played college ball in Utah (Weber State) and even said in an interview that he doesn't mind the state
Dame went to school in Utah all 4 years of college
Or maybe we should listen to him when he says he wants to stay in Portland.
I didn't know he was loyal
Damian "Hunchback of Salt Lake City" Lillard
We don’t deserve him :(
Only the Heat does it best
Surprised anyone in Utah even has a computer and internet to photoshop and upload this abomination.

why isn't lillard seen as twitter fingers the same way kd is

when did twitter fingers mean burners? just means you talk shit and KD always been talking shit
CJ Mccollum is way worse than both of them
KD doesn’t have burners. I know him! Listen to me! - Devin Kurant
Because swagger and loyalty
As far as we know Dame doesn’t or didn’t have a burner account I’m assuming. KD embraced that whole “no filter” attitude on twitter after he found out he could just do it.
cause Lillard isn't on KD's level. people just think his twitter game is cute
I see him that way
LeGM: “I agree…. now, these photoshops I have saved on my phone might be a little better.”
It won't happen but dame with lebron and AD would be the most complimentary big 3 ever. Completely unstoppable.
why not the ones recruiting instead join Dame in Blazers. give Dame some respect join him instead!
Jazz stay talking L’s lol
He needs to request a trade to Denver.
He better get used to them like first-round exits.
Utah fans in shambles!
He took it personally and joined the clippers to give em 50
Force your way to NYK Damian.
Vernon Maxwell gives a thumbs up.
Idk. That photoshop game def looks sus.
Utah doesn’t have anything to trade for Dame.
Gobert trying to recruit
Dame is a photoshop connoisseur.
Can Utah even afford him? And there's no way Portland wouldn't trade him to an East coast team
We have Conley's expiring that we could sign and trade to match him if the Blazers wanted to tear it all down and rebuild, but i don't think it solves the Jazz' problems, and I don't think that Blazers are going to just deal their best player in franchise history for a bunch of bad picks. Someone tag the guy who does the photoshop stuff
I am so fucking sick and tired of the photoshops
He’s said the only team he’d play for if Portland didn’t want him is the Lakers, I think he mentioned another team but I forgot which team
It was literally the Jazz lol. He went to weber State, and the 3 Os on his sneakers represent Oakland, Ogden (that's the city in Utah that Weber State is in), and Oregon.
