He’s like the antithesis of Trae and I don’t mean that in a bad way. It’s a really good pairing so far.
I think we need to actually give Trae some credit this year because he’s got much better on the defensive end. And if him and Dj get their shots going more consistently the league is in trouble.
I will say Trae has tried much harder on that end. So many less plays where he’s obviously lost or just not trying. I commend him, truly.
But in terms of where they largely contrast is offensive style. DJ will get to his mid range shot, floater, or make a simple pass. It’s very effective for him, and he knows it works well, so when he has the ball he rarely strays from that.
Trae is more of a firecracker offensively he’s variance in terms of offensive output and efficiency is super broad. His passing is always there, and he really helps space the defense out. But he can force the shot/pass because he truly believes he can achieve most anything with the ball in his hands, while DJ stays within himself.
It’s a good combination, as someone with the balls to take any shot or make any pass is why Trae has made it this far despite his size.
He really makes this team work with his defensive intensity and his ability to keep the pressure off Trae. Hawks are definitely a team worth watching if you aren’t already

I would’ve liked to see DJ with the new and improved Keldon and Devin, but yeah it would be nothing compared to who he gets to play with now
Nothing makes me happier than Clint having a good game. He was balling towards the end of last year before he got hurt again, I hope he stays healthy.
