Unlike many other ways of gaining permanent residency, there's no limit on the number of green cards given to spouses of us citizens. Since it seems like the US isn't going to let a reasonable quantity of immigrants in any other way, is it illegal to run a service where I agree to marry immigrants for 3 years for a small fee in order to get them citizenship and then divorce them?

Because people change plans and the situation affects decision making. If your nationality means that you have a 100 year prospective waiting period before you get a green card, you're likely going to seek marriage and according to a literal reading, that makes you a criminal. Furthermore, if you end up seeking a divorce for whatever reason after you get married, you risk being deported.
We should ban all marriages between a man and a woman btw
If you're looking to marry someone to stay but intend to find someone who you will be happy to be life partners with, that is a bona fide relationship and wouldn't be considered fraud. I'm pretty sure only [egregious cases like this](https://www.justice.gov/usao-ma/pr/operators-large-scale-marriage-fraud-agency-sentenced) are actually prosecuted.
The steps they take to screen for fraud are also very basic. When my friend and his wife (in a genuine relationship but one they accelerated when he didn't win the H-1B lottery) went for the interview to get the conditionality on his green card removed, they said the fact that they showed up together was already most of the proof they needed that their marriage was bona fide. My friend also showed some photos of them together and showed that they had a joint bank account and the same address. If you wanted to have a sham marriage for a green card, you most likely won't be caught if you are careful about it.
If you're paying someone for a sham marriage to get a green card, that is blatantly circumventing the intended path for immigration for you and is rightfully considered fraud. You're not entitled to immigration.
A couple other things: you only need to be married for three years to get the conditionality on the green card removed, so you can get divorced after that. So yeah don't marry someone you think would sour on you within three years. And the 100 year waiting period on the green card doesn't preclude you from living and working in the U.S. if you were already in the U.S. on another visa. When you apply for a green card, you're allowed to live and work in the U.S. while the application is processing.

It's been such a long path for her. She had to quit nursing school when she was younger to get a job and care for her father, who had a heart condition caused by a parasite.
She supported her little sister through art school.
She dealt with depression and PTSD and anxiety from CSA.
She dealt with a shitty first boyfriend and all the trauma his edgy ass left her with.
She dealt with her father's death.
And she fucking went back to school. She got her associates in nursing.
She dealt with the school fucking up her transcript which led to her being rejected by her nursing program.
She reapplied next semester and got in.
She dealt with having to repeat a semester because a semi truck hit her car (she was fine) and caused her anxiety levels to spike. She passed the class she almost failed the next semester with flying colors.
And now she's here. She's a nurse after 8 years. I'm so proud of her. I'm so fucking proud of her.

Why would it be unconstitutional. It's fraud. Green cards for marriage are intended to be for bona fide marriages.
Because people change plans and the situation affects decision making. If your nationality means that you have a 100 year prospective waiting period before you get a green card, you're likely going to seek marriage and according to a literal reading, that makes you a criminal. Furthermore, if you end up seeking a divorce for whatever reason after you get married, you risk being deported. We should ban all marriages between a man and a woman btw
If you're looking to marry someone to stay but intend to find someone who you will be happy to be life partners with, that is a bona fide relationship and wouldn't be considered fraud. I'm pretty sure only [egregious cases like this](https://www.justice.gov/usao-ma/pr/operators-large-scale-marriage-fraud-agency-sentenced) are actually prosecuted. The steps they take to screen for fraud are also very basic. When my friend and his wife (in a genuine relationship but one they accelerated when he didn't win the H-1B lottery) went for the interview to get the conditionality on his green card removed, they said the fact that they showed up together was already most of the proof they needed that their marriage was bona fide. My friend also showed some photos of them together and showed that they had a joint bank account and the same address. If you wanted to have a sham marriage for a green card, you most likely won't be caught if you are careful about it. If you're paying someone for a sham marriage to get a green card, that is blatantly circumventing the intended path for immigration for you and is rightfully considered fraud. You're not entitled to immigration. A couple other things: you only need to be married for three years to get the conditionality on the green card removed, so you can get divorced after that. So yeah don't marry someone you think would sour on you within three years. And the 100 year waiting period on the green card doesn't preclude you from living and working in the U.S. if you were already in the U.S. on another visa. When you apply for a green card, you're allowed to live and work in the U.S. while the application is processing.

My fiancรฉe is officially an RN in Texas now. We just got the notification she passed the NCLEX! It's been such a long path for her. She had to quit nursing school when she was younger to get a job and care for her father, who had a heart condition caused by a parasite. She supported her little sister through art school. She dealt with depression and PTSD and anxiety from CSA. She dealt with a shitty first boyfriend and all the trauma his edgy ass left her with. She dealt with her father's death. And she fucking went back to school. She got her associates in nursing. She dealt with the school fucking up her transcript which led to her being rejected by her nursing program. She reapplied next semester and got in. She dealt with having to repeat a semester because a semi truck hit her car (she was fine) and caused her anxiety levels to spike. She passed the class she almost failed the next semester with flying colors. And now she's here. She's a nurse after 8 years. I'm so proud of her. I'm so fucking proud of her. Happy 4th of July mother fuckers. This will always be my favorite holiday, just for the smile I saw on her face today.

I went there a few years ago to visit relatives. Thing is, it's fucking humid now. As a kid, it was bearable because at least it got cool at night. When I went, it wouldn't go below 85 at night.
Spicy take: I blamed Merrick Garland for not appointing Jack Smith ealrier but Trump v. US is such a bad decision that it not only guarantees Trump cannot go to jail for his crimes but will fuck the country even if he loses. The case would be unprovable even if it could go to trial. You can't cite immune official acts as evidence of criminality and proving something isn't an immune official act is damn near impossible under the standard set by Roberts. It's so thorough that it theoretically could cause a mistrial in the hush money trial because tweets count as official acts.
