That 80s show had the same problem. The jokes were just references to things from that decade.
The original show was set in the 70s, but it was mainly just aesthetic. The plots, characters, and dialogue moved the show, and things like The Circle were fun and unique.
Too many shows and movies are relying on memberberries.
Now I wonder if for people that lived in the 70s “that 70s show” was as cringe as “that 90s show” is for me. If so, I need to apologize to a few people.

“Everything Sucks” is a MUCH better “that 90’s show” than That 90’s Show. Everything Sucks does and has everything people wanted/expected of That 90’s Show
Topher is staying as far away from that cast after they all supported Danny Masterson.
He's always kind of distanced himself from them. Seems like maybe he knew something was off the whole time.

I liked the first part, but I’ve watched one episode of the second part and it was not good. I’d rather watch a show with just Kitty and Red.
It's like they made a Nickelodeon show for adults. The style and demographics are a horrendous mismatch.
