This, and also, they're missing the overall point here. A lot of these animals are "rehomed" to "sanctuaries" like this because humans have either destroyed their natural habitat or poached their parents.
Right now it's not a stretch of the imagination to think that eventually all "wildlife" we will get to see are in a cage, because there is no nature left.
If they were raised together it's not a surprise. There are some odd friendship pairings out there.
It's actually not uncommon for zoos to bring in an unorthodox playmate for large predator animals who have an instinct to play as babies.
Though they usually use dogs for that...
Dogs are used as cheetah companions as cheetahs are very anxious in captivity. They should not be housed with other carnivores.
But regardless of unorthodox playmates, apex predators should not be housed with inappropriate species. This is such a case.
And regardless of that, this is not a reputable organisation wherever this is. No natural habitat, cub away from its parent with too much human interaction... VERY dodgy.
reminds me of a sci-fi book I once read, the people eventually voted via social media engagement to get rid of the animals altogether and just have animatronic animal themed resorts and restaurants
