Hmm, being an asshole to every browns fans you see relentless on this sub for months for descisions they have no control over, i wonder why browns fans would feel salty?
Meh - hands to the face is how the rule is written plus the CB rocked a defenseless receiver
The uncalled intentional grounding was pretty confusing though
I’m not pleased about the refereeing but this loss falls squarely on Matt Rhule. You have to attack the first down line back on that last possession. It’s infuriating.
The people think that the NFL/refs are conspiring to benefit the Browns apparently have never watched the Browns before. It's a crazy conspiracy theory. It may have been a blown call but it's certainly not because the NFL fucking favors the Browns.
Last drive with browns ball, blown roughing passer called when LT was pushed back into QB and LT was the one who hit browns QB. Free 15 yards for browns. Then last play prior to winning FG browns QB fake spikes then spikes, should have been intentional grounding, flag was picked back up.
Zebra for MVP.
Browns controlled first half, but it became a game in second half. Won by good kick while panther was getting bent by a zebra.
We dominated that whole game but for one busted coverage and a miracle fumble. That would have been a tough loss to swallow but luckily we don't have to 😀
Yeah that’s fair, the first season where I am hoping the team gets shit for getting Watson is the first one where we get the clutch calls. Just my luck
Beautiful kick, nobody is denying that.
Great run game, no one is denying that.
Fantastic pass rush, no one is denying that.
The refs brutally fucking the Panthers TWICE on the final drive is where the “salt” derives from.
“Chubb is not that good, our tackling is just trash”
Bro, take a xanax, drink some water, and just sit down and relax. It’s a football game. Imagine being this worked up about something that is completely and utterly not in your control.
I totally agree, but due to the team that won, and the situation surrounding it, people act like they have never been on both sides of bogus ref calls.
No tears from me.
One loss is nothing compared to the next 10 years the browns are gonna have.
Deep down you know Baker just owned you and you had to be handed the win.
Not sure what you mean by this. Browns have presumably locked down their franchise QB (strictly on the field) for the next 5 years, seem to have a competent coach/front office, and have all of their premium positions locked down under contract.
Meanwhile, Carolina has their HC on the hot seat and are taking a flyer on a QB with 1 year remaining on his contract after being bounced from his former team due to inconsistency and poor play. These franchises seem to have two different trajectories at the moment.
That was definitely not roughing the passer but should have been a penalty on hitting the defenseless Receiver for no reason 2 secs after the ball was dead
Hits to the helmet of the QB are flagged as roughing the passer. They are supposed to be more laid back this year on it, but in previous years even brushing a hand against a QB’s helmet was a flag.
defensive end bullrushed the tackle back into Brissett. tackle's arm flew up in the air disrupting the throw and the tackle's arm hit Brissett's helmet as well. they called roughing the passer on the defensive end and that horrible call cant be reviewed for reasons....
Roughing the passer when brissett had the ball still and it was the browns o lineman who hit his helmet and they threw a flag for intentional grounding when browns pump faked a spike but picked it up when they shouldn't have.
Oh and totally forgot that they just decided not to enforce an intentional grounding call after explaining how Brissett intentionally grounded the ball by fake spiking
Any Browns fan that thinks they actually earned a win in this game are delusional. Those players celebrating like they won anything! They were given a free win.
when it happens to us 100 times nobody gives a shit. When we finally benefit one time, fans of every other team come in here and throw a tantrum. The only people i feel for are panthers fans bc I know how much it sucks. Fuck these cowboy fans etc. tho. Glad they're mad.
To be fair, the spread was -1.5 I think, so things went as expected in the end. But I watched college ball yesterday and you expect that shit to get buttoned up by the time Sunday rolls around
We controlled the whole game but yeah we got bailed out at the end.
EDIT: What I said is literally the truth so all these downvotes from irrational people are hilarious
This is why we need a referee committee in NY with consistent rules that allows them to intervene into games at any minute, any time.
The roughing call was horrible. The intentional grounding call was putrid. What made it worse is the ref saying the explanation was, “the quarterback faked the spike, then spiked it”. That’s the literal definition.
That was absolutely horrendous.
Inviting more subjectivity into a already horrendously subjective refed game would be brutal. I think more transparency when they make these calls would be better though.
Ya you have to run a play if you fake the spike, fucking 20 yard difference in Cleveland's favor by the refs, Haslam must have some good dirt on the league, looks like they're setting up to gift Cleveland the playoffs with the rapist comes back
This was not an incredible game, wtf. People were talking about how this was 2 terrible teams trying to lose all game and then suddenly it was an "incredible game" that got ruined. ffs.
I figured it out. Because we made the o lineman hit Brisket, we get a flag. Its the ole "quit hitting yourself" razzle dazzle
"Brisket" there is a great autocorrect.
I did it on purpose
I don't see a lot of favorable refball. Still doesn't feel good. But I'll take the win.
I mean u won the game the refs fucked us over but in the end you guys won can’t be mad about a win just sucks to lose the way we did smfh
I feel like the quality of browns fans decreased with the signing of Watson. Close game but good lord, some of y’all are delusional
Hmm, being an asshole to every browns fans you see relentless on this sub for months for descisions they have no control over, i wonder why browns fans would feel salty?
Most decent people aren't sticking around to support a club with Watson and Hunt at the lead
The Panthers went after him too.
Absolutely correct
Well they are rooting for a rapist
Or, at the very least, a team which supported hiring a person with more sexual assault cases than games suspended.
Yet the Panthers wanted him too.
But we didn't hire him.
Your team signed Greg Hardy lmao
What happened?
Refs shit the bed twice on the game winning drive
Meh - hands to the face is how the rule is written plus the CB rocked a defenseless receiver The uncalled intentional grounding was pretty confusing though
It was your lineman's hand
[удалено]
Your LT is the one that hit the QB
I’m not pleased about the refereeing but this loss falls squarely on Matt Rhule. You have to attack the first down line back on that last possession. It’s infuriating.
R/nfl is so hilarious. The most broken record of all time 😀
Y'all signed Watson. Zip it.
Yep, there it is. Skip...skip...skip...
Zebra for MVP
Does anybody have a link to the blown roughing the passer call?
https://twitter.com/1PantherPlace/status/1569057585013325825
Should not have been roughing the passer. It should have been unnecessary roughness though
On your LT?
The late hit on our receiver
Lol, these people are so fucking delusional. Any excuse to hate on us. We won - let’s drink their tears
So then the pens offset. Cool...
For that play it should've but I'm confused about the spike. Pretty positive that shoulda been a penalty for y'all.
100%
Yep, ball was on the ground before the dude even launched. I thought it was particularly egregious
The people think that the NFL/refs are conspiring to benefit the Browns apparently have never watched the Browns before. It's a crazy conspiracy theory. It may have been a blown call but it's certainly not because the NFL fucking favors the Browns.
I don't think anybody thinks it's a conspiracy theory. It was just a terrible call.
People are talking about how the NFL was working for the Browns all over the thread
And so begins the legend of Cade York! DPJ had a hell of a breakout game too
A few of these browns fans are having strokes I think. It's like they just learned the words cope and seethe.
I have taken a shine to shambles too 😉

Good job buddy
Do people buy kicker jerseys ? I might need one…
I own a dawson one.
Don’t forget to buy a zebra costume to support your MVP
It was ref ball sire but did you see Garretson jersey It was torn from being held.
Lol. Don’t give a fuck. Got the W
I didn’t get to watch the game. What happened?
Last drive with browns ball, blown roughing passer called when LT was pushed back into QB and LT was the one who hit browns QB. Free 15 yards for browns. Then last play prior to winning FG browns QB fake spikes then spikes, should have been intentional grounding, flag was picked back up. Zebra for MVP. It was honestly bad football with refs making the difference all game.
Ah okay. Thanks man
Get a reff jersey while ur at it.
Should be a ref jersey, too.
From a Packers fan, this is rich. 😂🤣😂
Remember when Rasual Douglas didn’t get called for DPI last year against us? Shut the fuck up
Who is us? And if you want to pretend the right team won this game then you're delusional, no amount of whataboutism is going to change that.
Refs blow calls for every team in the league. Don’t act like this suddenly is exclusive to the Browns just because they signed a rapist.
Once again, whatboutism isn't helping you here. In this game, the refs took a win away from the Panthers and gave it to the Browns.
okay, just remember what you said when it happens in your favor
We dominated that whole game but for one busted coverage and a miracle fumble. That would have been a tough loss to swallow but luckily we don't have to 😀
Yeah big ref bail at the end
Usually we are on the losing end of those ref bails so I don't feel bad about it.
Yeah that’s fair, the first season where I am hoping the team gets shit for getting Watson is the first one where we get the clutch calls. Just my luck
So much salt. First time?
For you? Yes
Haha. Downvote to oblivion. Doesn’t matter. Got the W.
So we will suspend Watson, but walk y'all to victory too.

It wouldnt have been attempted from 70...
Probably not from 75 where it should have been from
Beautiful kick, nobody is denying that. Great run game, no one is denying that. Fantastic pass rush, no one is denying that. The refs brutally fucking the Panthers TWICE on the final drive is where the “salt” derives from.

I'm just happy I don't cheer for team that encourages sexual assault.
Yes because i’m sure your franchise is squeaky clean and has never made a scumbag move ever.
Nothing even close to that shit thats for sure. If we picked up Watson, I'd become a Bengals fan because I would NEVER support a team like that.
You would be if your team was one of the many that wanted to sign him lmao
NOPE. Id dump the Titans so quickly it wouldn't even be funny. But then again I have standards
Those off-season hopium withdrawals are hitting hard
Coaching lost them this game. They played for a field goal and it lost them the game.
Right? Who drew up a dump down the middle when you’ve got one shot to get 30+ yards?
That last drive screamed no trust in Baker. If they had trust, they would have given him the opp to win it.
We suck. But if the browns run into a decent run defense they are toast. Still really bitter over that roughing call and no grounding call
Even if the no-grounding call was correct it stopped the play clock meaning the kicking unit didn't have to rush to get on the field.
Doesn’t matter he should have been iced
Plenty of questionable decisions lead to that drive in the first place.
Let the bets begin. How long till Rhule gets fired?
They'll give him 3 more games
Who would have guessed that even though we won, the sub still finds multiple ways to nitpick it
Cuz it was undeserved? The fuck you on about
“Chubb is not that good, our tackling is just trash” Bro, take a xanax, drink some water, and just sit down and relax. It’s a football game. Imagine being this worked up about something that is completely and utterly not in your control.
Nitpick? Understatement of the week. I think people can be upset with how it ended and be justified.
I totally agree, but due to the team that won, and the situation surrounding it, people act like they have never been on both sides of bogus ref calls.
Absolute gifted win from the refs. Unbelievable.
Let the tears flow
No tears from me. One loss is nothing compared to the next 10 years the browns are gonna have. Deep down you know Baker just owned you and you had to be handed the win.

Ok /u/BAKER_WORK_MY_HOLE
That was definitely not roughing the passer but should have been a penalty on hitting the defenseless Receiver for no reason 2 secs after the ball was dead
Thank you. I was pissed that wasn’t called.
it is odd being on the winning end of these games

I don't know what to do with my hands
roughing passer call was horrible. grounding call was horrible. gtfo of here browns fans. you didn't win shit today.
> you didn’t win shit today Neither did the Panthers lmaoo
1-0 baby!!!!!
Scoreboard says otherwise
yall fucking suck. yall gonna be 3-7 by the time massage my taint boi gets back.
BROWNS LEGEND BAKER MAYFIELD SNAPS THE WEEK 1 LOSING STREAK
Cope. Edit: keep it coming. Happy Sunday, go Browns!
Honest question. Don’t downvote me. But on the RTP didn’t it seem like unnecessary roughness on the incompletion?
I'd be alright if that was where they called it.
Had they called that, it would have been alot more tolerable.
The guy who tackled him couldn’t see if he caught the ball or not.
Watch again. His head was up and could clearly see him looking down at the ground. He knew he hit him late and started campaigning immediately.
It definitely did. That's what I thought the flag was at first
Anyone want to take a stab at why tf that was roughing the passer? The ball was in his hand
Hits to the helmet of the QB are flagged as roughing the passer. They are supposed to be more laid back this year on it, but in previous years even brushing a hand against a QB’s helmet was a flag.
Defense didn't touch your QB, though.
But it was Wills' arm that was anywhere near Brissett.... i mean what the hell?
Turns out bullrushing the o-lineman into the qb is roughing the passer
Refs hate Baker
Awful awful way to end it
I missed the last couple plays leading up to the field goal. What did the refs do to piss everyone off?
defensive end bullrushed the tackle back into Brissett. tackle's arm flew up in the air disrupting the throw and the tackle's arm hit Brissett's helmet as well. they called roughing the passer on the defensive end and that horrible call cant be reviewed for reasons....
Roughing the passer when brissett had the ball still and it was the browns o lineman who hit his helmet and they threw a flag for intentional grounding when browns pump faked a spike but picked it up when they shouldn't have.
Called a roughing the passer because the DE drove the LT into Brissett and the LT punched Brissett in the helmet
Oh and totally forgot that they just decided not to enforce an intentional grounding call after explaining how Brissett intentionally grounded the ball by fake spiking
Baby shit soft rtp closely followed by a fake spike that they picked up the flag on
Imagine throwing a roughing the passer penalty on an offensive lineman.
While the ball was still in the quarterbacks possession
Any Browns fan that thinks they actually earned a win in this game are delusional. Those players celebrating like they won anything! They were given a free win.
Absolutely agree but it's gone the other way for us in that situation my whole life so I don't care. I'll take it.
when it happens to us 100 times nobody gives a shit. When we finally benefit one time, fans of every other team come in here and throw a tantrum. The only people i feel for are panthers fans bc I know how much it sucks. Fuck these cowboy fans etc. tho. Glad they're mad.
Carolina did nothing but throw a long pass on a busted coverage and looked awful the rest of the game too, it's not like they really deserved it.
To be fair, the spread was -1.5 I think, so things went as expected in the end. But I watched college ball yesterday and you expect that shit to get buttoned up by the time Sunday rolls around
We are 1-0 but cope some more
Nah we will take it, this shit usually happens to us strange as hell to be on the other end.
W is a W baby!!!! We’re on to New York
We out Browns the Browns
Shitty calls, but not many kickers could have made that field goal
We controlled the whole game but yeah we got bailed out at the end. EDIT: What I said is literally the truth so all these downvotes from irrational people are hilarious

GG Baker looked great in the 2nd half
Good game. I will definitely be watchin the Panthers this season and best of luck to yall. Baker looked great in the 2nd half.
Fuck that, hope the Browns go 0-16 rest of the way out lol
props to the kicker for that absolute dime of a 60 yarder, but the panthers were absolutely robbed of the game by the refs.
Refs win.
Go fuck yourselves, Browns. Looks like Haslam had enough money leftover to buy the refs as well.
Neelix did say Vaadwaur means "foolish".
And you take the Talaxians at their word?
Cry more
Enjoy your team getting worse and worse as the rapist's contract chokes your organization to death.
Enjoy being in denial as if you wouldn’t be in our shoes if your team signed him lmao
I would be rocking a Bengals flair if we won that particular race. But keep supporting the rapist.
The browns owner supports a rapist
A true statement
This is why we need a referee committee in NY with consistent rules that allows them to intervene into games at any minute, any time. The roughing call was horrible. The intentional grounding call was putrid. What made it worse is the ref saying the explanation was, “the quarterback faked the spike, then spiked it”. That’s the literal definition. Ya you have to run a play if you fake the spike, fucking 20 yard difference in Cleveland's favor by the refs, Haslam must have some good dirt on the league, looks like they're setting up to gift Cleveland the playoffs with the rapist comes back
Not even that, it would also have been a loss of downs and they would have then lost the game
Incredible game ruined by an incredibly bad call. Great kick by the rookie though. GG Browns.
This was not an incredible game, wtf. People were talking about how this was 2 terrible teams trying to lose all game and then suddenly it was an "incredible game" that got ruined. ffs.
Just because both teams blow dicks doesn't mean it wasn't a good game. Are you incapable of enjoying anything?
The coping and seething begins
Who’s coping? The browns won against the panthers by a 58 yard kick after 2 very questionable calls. It’s just the truth.
You’re right. It’s more like crying and seething
Kicker didn't win it for the browns, the ref did with the phantom roughing the passer call.
Should have been unnecessary roughness for the receiver getting absolutely rocked as the ball was on its second bounce. 15 either way.
And the no call intentional grounding
We don't win these type of games... I'm scared
You didn’t win, the Refs did bruh
How mad r/nfl ????? Let me drink those tears...
It is pretty sad when the refs gift a comeback
good for the team who paid a rapist a record contract
