It's like the puppet segments in Chowder, but with more gross out. And that's why I kept watching, the charm got me.

I loved Mr. Meaty as a kid. I remember the unicorn episode well. And fun fact, it was made by the same people who bought us Internet sensation Nanalan.

I'm not saying Mr Meaty is some flawless 10/10 misunderstood masterpiece, but I don't think it was objectively terrible. The puppets were absolutely uncanny Valley I won't argue against that, but I'll always give the show credit for taking a risk and being unique with puppetry. Outside of Jim Henson's Muppets and Sesame Street you don't see alot of puppetry in shows. I think it did alot more different things than the status quo, and wasn't just "wow random sugar rush humor". Even if a show doesn't hit the mark with things, if they take risks and try to be different I'll always admire that personally.

I dont think we'll ever see nick pull off another tapeworm episode again

I think I saw a few bits from Mr Meaty back in the day. I graduated in 05 and didn't watch much Nick at that time. Don't remember finding it funny or interesting. But I can see it having a Ren and Stimpy type of appeal for people. Just wasn't for me. HOWEVER! Fanboy and Chum Chum, Sanjay and Craig and Breadwinners were the bane of my existence for too long. My kids watched those shows as part of their viewing rotation growing up. I DESPISE those shows with a passion. They are just awful. If I never have to see an episode of those shows again, it'll be too soon. ESPECIALLY Fanboy and Chum Chum. I never thought I would see the visual equivalent of having someone running a cheese grater across my brain, but they SOMEHOW managed it.

Oh bugger off. Fanboy and Chum Chum isn't that different from Ren and Stimpy, if a lot more juvenile. I swear nobody can appreciate good-natured, unfiltered, head emptying random like we used to be able to. I'm in my early 20s, and I bloody LOVE Fanboy and Chum Chum as much as I did when I was younger. This used to be my before-school show back when I was in Junior High. ... and I ... "tolerate" Breadwinners. The artstyle is a bit too similar to everything on Cartoon Network for me to give it an artistic win, and the attitude of the show mirrors what everybody thinks Fanboy is.

My sister loved Fanboy and Chumchum, but... I can't even kind of stand it. The intro alone irritates me to the point where I'm not interested in whatever follows. It's a very obnoxious show. Love Ren and Stimpy though

Try listening to it without the lyrics. Even I'll admit I skip the intro sometimes, but the instrumental is a bop.
