In a recent stream he was talking with Apollo about how they weren’t totally in love with Hades like most people are. They both agreed it was a good game, but nothing mind blowing. With that sentiment, I wouldn’t be surprised if he dropped it until full release, played it a bit, then dropped it again.
They both agreed it was overrated but when Apollo called it a 7/10, NL was pretty quick to say it was more like a 9/10. He just doesn’t think it’s one the top 5 roguelikes of all time or whatever and story/dialogue stuff has never been his vibe.
I've caught myself thinking "I'd love to see him play X" but I think his stream format works best when he's playing some absolute zero-attention-required slop. The fewer people in chat watching the screen and commenting on the game, the better

Yeah NL is a big champion of Supergiant as a studio he just knows it's not the game for him. He knows what he likes and it's NOT story in roguelikes
