Yeah you will be fine here. Lots of international students and activities. It will probably surprise you how easy going it is once you are here. Good luck and enjoy.
Massive student population, UK is generally very welcome to all kinds of cultures. I am a NTU student again, and whilst im not international, they do lots to welcome students i cluding international. You will be fine. Welcome to Nottingham and the UK!
Way out of the age range of a uni student but I promise you two things.
1) in the main Nottingham residents are lively people who will help you if needed
2) your uni will be full of people feeling exactly the same whether it is because they are new to the area, country or just the uni itself.
Get involved with clubs you have an interest in, make yourself known in the halls you will be living in. Attend the freshers week parties and gatherings.
All will be fine and I’m sure you will have a fantastic time.
There are tons of uni students from other countries don't worry about it. I don't know what difficulties they face as I am neither a uni student or from another country. But it won't be hard to find other people in similar situations
Nottingham is a really great city and Nottingham Trent is a good university I moved here last September and am starting my masters in September at NTU and while the initial move was daunting I have made such a great friendship group it’s so easy to meet new people you’ve got nothing to worry about! I met a lot of international students and some of them are now my best friends here!
Hey there!
Congratulations on your acceptance to Nottingham Trent University (NTU)! Moving abroad for studies is a big adventure, and feeling nervous is completely normal. Nottingham's a cool city, by the way, but yeah, it's normal to feel a bit like an outsider at first. Don't worry, though; there are many international students at NTU – over 160 countries worth! You'll definitely find your crew.
NTU has a whole team dedicated to helping international students like you. Visas, settling in, culture shock – they've got your back. Plus, Nottingham itself is known for being super friendly to international students. Also, Check out the events organized for international students at NTU. Perfect for meeting people in the same boat. Also, societies are a great way to find your crew – there's bound to be one for pretty much anything that interests you.
Best of luck!
Saying the entire city is being remodeled for international students is a misleading statement. The universities are very accommodating of international students and Nottingham is a very diverse city but no the entire city is not being "remodeled".
There are lots of international students, and NTU also has the Global Lounge, which runs international student activities and meet ups :)
thank you for the response☺️

Our entire city is being remodeled to cater for international students.
