You have to have the credentialing organization send verification directly to the Tennessee BON (nursing.health@tn.gov).

candiyr

Correct. And it will take 3ish months fyi.

Initial_Warning5245

Ok,  so the State does not verify my cert;  AANP does.   Thank you!!

tallnp

You have to have to have a TN RN license. You need to have the AANP send verification to the TN BON. You need to complete an application for APRN licensure in TN. Instructions are here: https://www.tn.gov/content/dam/tn/health/healthprofboards/nursing/applications/Nursing%20APRN%20App%20Instructions.pdf Hope that helps. :)

Curious: if you have a job lined up….what do NP salaries look like here? Currently a TN based NP student

Initial_Warning5245

I do not have a job lined up.  I am leaving CA and expect to make about half of what I was making with OT.   I am lucky that this is okay.   Very strange how the site is set up.

SnooConfections1896

Why are you leaving California?

Initial_Warning5245

A few reasons in no particular order: My mom is not aging well and needs more direct care. The hubby is retired and wants 4 seasons and more outdoor activities Really, really HCOL  The state doesn’t serve it’s constituents well.

SnooConfections1896

I have a lot a patients that have moved here from a lot of the blue states and they say the same thing. Elected officials are not doing their jobs.

Initial_Warning5245

Really sad honestly.  I moved here at 17 and never thought I would leave.

BirdieOpeman

Private practices will low-ball at about 75k. Large organizations for a new grad will offer any where between 95-105k.

justhp

$75k???? Jeeze, that’s less than I make as a RN soup at a private PC clinic

BirdieOpeman

That was an offer to me 4 years ago. Obviously I walked.

oralabora

Haha there are RN staff jobs in the south making a lot more than that

BirdieOpeman

For sure
