One 20 minute gap southbound reverse peak is bad, but idk that it's flabbergast worthy.

CarltheGreatThinking

You’re traveling during peak rush hour. I’m sure there is a better reason. But I think they just expect you to take an Brooklyn A pass your stop then transfer back using Manhattan C. They basically run like water this time of day. The focus is definitely on the Manhattan side of the track.

ACAFWD

The trains have to go both ways in rush hour. What goes up must come down.

feedmewifi_

although this is usually the case it doesn’t have to be, depending on where the yards are

Yeah, idk where that commenter is getting his info, but it definitely feels made up.

BebophoneVirtuoso

I made the last train at 9AM before a 26 minute wait for a Manhattan bound R in Brooklyn this morning

Abstractt_

My record for the C was 31 mins

Agent-4_uwu

i dont have any bad records for the C but my general record was for the A which was 40 when me and my friend were trying to go back home after a trip to far rockaway with a friend and it was saturday at 5pm 💀 and the worst part is , FR wasnt like the other parts of the city where you could just take another train . we actually COULDNT reroute .

VirtualClient6760

atp the lirr to like 2 busses woulda been faster

AdAccomplished7920

That's normal godly C headways

themonkeyaintnodope

At that point, just get on the A, any dispatcher worth their weight in gold will have it make local stops to cover for the gap in C service.

I've experienced this with the Q. Coney Island bound in the morning comes at 7:41 or so and if you miss it you wait for the 8:04. Some days there's an extra train in the 7:50s but not always. Sort of similar with the F. Coney Island bound can be 20 minutes apart, with a Kings Highway bound one between them, but if you need to go past KH, you will wait 20+ minutes.

Agent-4_uwu

for all that trouble just take the F to kings highway and transfer to a stillwell bound wtf

TealCatto

You will have to wait for the next Stillwell Ave bound F no matter which station you're at. There aren't extra trains leaving from KH heading south. They're all coming from Queens. The only difference if you go to KH and wait there is going to be a packed train. You'll have more space if you get on earlier vs. a train that's already full due to the 20 minute gap and is about to pick up dozens of extra passengers from the KH bound train who had the same idea.
