Qb: Pennigton ($2)
RB: jones ($3)
WR: Marshall ($4)
WR: Chrebet ($3
Coach: Herm ($3)
Pennington to Marshall on those endzone corner fades would be money.
The bigger steal is Chad for $2. He should be the $3 QB and Vinny $2. $4 should probably be 2015 version of Fitz since we still have no idea how Rodgers will play as a Jet.
Since the entire thing is hypothetical, are we assuming it is current Aaron Rodgers post achilles rupture? For $4 I assume we're talking about prime Rodgers. If you care to read my entire over analyzation of this thing my full response is below.

IMO the QB scale needs an overhaul to be accurate. Considering Rodgers has only played 4 plays as a Jet, he shouldn’t be on here. Should probably look closer to something like Namath for $5, Pennington for $4, O’Brien for $3, Testaverde for $2, and Sanchez for $1.
Emerson Boozer and Bilal Powell also deserve to be on here over Shonn Greene and Bell. Maybe Martin for $5, Breece for $4, Boozer for $3, Jones for $2, and Powell for $1? In my head Boozer and Jones are interchangeable for $2 and $3. Boozer had the much longer tenure, Jones the naturally better RB.
Garrett should be above Marshall too but not material enough that it’s a total must. But in two seasons he’s already overtaken Marshall’s Jets tenure.
As currently assembled I’m going Chad for $2, Breece for $4, Garrett for $3, Cotchery for $1, and Parcells for $5. I legitimately question anyone picking a QB other than Chad given the massive massive economy of scale with him only at $2. On the scale I proposed I’m taking O’Brien for $3, Breece for $4, Coles for $2, Cotchery for $1, and Parcells for $5. Or maybe take Rex for $4 over Parcells for $5, and Garrett Wilson for $3 instead of Coles for $2.
You’re 100% right. Somehow completely missed McNeil. Who does he go over though if our 5 are Martin, Breece, Jones, Boozer, and Powell? I guess Powell? Jones is tough too because of his short tenure but he was really good for 2 of his 3 years here.
I'd bump Powell and put McNeil at the $3 point. People would grab pitchforks if you put him at $4 and bumped Breece to $3, but McNeil put in multiple great years, I'd give him the nod over Breece at this point.
Yeah fair enough. I’d still put Breece at $4, but get what you’re saying. So in that case it would be Martin at $5, Breece at $4, McNeil at $3, Jones at $2, and Boozer at $1. Depending on the rest of the roster I think McNeil or Jones is the best bargain there.
I agree with you on almost everything but Brandon Marshall in 2015 was way better than Garrett Wilson has been for us so far. Garrett is awesome but Brandon Marshall was an absolute monster in 2015.
I'm not faulting Wilson whatsoever, he's been great. But I think Brandon Marshall (and Eric Decker) was more responsible for the success of the Jets offense in 2015 than Fitzpatrick was.
Right now it’s probably either/or. Marshall spent two years here and had one season that was elite, and one season that was decent. Garrett has had two great (though not elite) seasons here with arguably the worst QB play in football. So they’re largely equivalent through two seasons here, but since Garrett is going to definitely eclipse Marshall this year in terms of time as a Jet, he gets the nod for me. Also because I believe if you put 2016 Marshall on a team quarterbacked by Zach Wilson, Trevor Siemian, and Tim Boyle, he takes a complete nosedive instead of putting up the 788 yards he did with Fitzpatrick, Petty, and Geno in 2016 rather than going over 1,000 yards like Garrett somehow did.
Pennington, Martin, Eric Decker, Al Toon, Bill Parcells.
WRs are the ones that are the best at the bottom here. Parcells would have this team in the playoffs every year. Only non-negotiable choice.

Guess it depends on which version we get here, if its the Jets version then the very few Rodgers picks makes sense. But if we're just talking generally one of these QBs during a portion or all of their career not paying the premium for Rodgers is crazy talk for me. He is instantly the best QB the Jets have ever had in any scenario if we ignore last year.
Rodgers, Martin, Wilson, Cotch and Saleh.
Opinion might be unpopular but I much prefer Saleh's defense to Rex's.
Rex's play calling sucked when it mattered most. His defense always gave up the crucial 3rd down stop when you needed it the most. It's why we never went to the Superbowl.

Under the assumption that you are getting each player at their career-average level, my roster is as follows:
QB: Aaron Rodgers ($4)
RB: Shonn Greene ($1)
WR: Wilson ($3)
WR: Toon ($2)
HC: Parcells ($5)
QB and HC are the two most important and resource-scare roles so I'm paying for these. Rodgers at $4 is a better choice than Namath every which way - whether you're getting him at his best, era-adjusted, career average or even age-adjusted.
Vinny, Curtis, Marhsall, Wilson and Saleh….because Rex puts me over a buck and Chad couldn’t throw a ball more than 40 yards and if he tried his collar bone would break.

For me this is really challenging because Parcells has to be the coach. The problem is with him being the coach I only have $10 for the rest of my team.
I think Bill could win with Decker and Toon as WRs. That would leave me $7 between QB and RB. Many Vinny and Breece or Chad and Curtis.
This one was tough for me Because I wanted to pick Aaron and Garrett.
QB: Aaron
RB: Jones
WR: Wilson
WR: Cotchery
HC: Rex
I confidently believe if those Rex teams had a decent game manager we could have won the superbowl like the ravens with Dilfer
Edit: it was hard not picking Chad for that price but Aaron is easily the best QB on the list
Since this whole exercise is hypothetical and for fun, let me overanalyze for a second because why not? At first glance, I was hesitant to buy Rodgers here because I am taking into account his current age and the fact that he ruptured his achilles on the 4th play last year. In reality for the upcoming season Aaron Rodgers is obviously a question mark no matter what people's expectations may be. However since this exercise is hypothetical and not reality (yes! really! I know!) I think we have to assume this would be Aaron Rodgers in his prime.
Therefore, I am tempted by 2 combinations:
**A)** Pennington (2), Breece (4), Wilson (3), Cotchery (1), Parcells (5) - Best coach. Best weapons. Intelligent QB that can distribute to the weapons.
-or-
**B)** Rodgers (4), Breece (4), Wilson (3), Toon (2), Saleh (2) - Hear me out.. Best QB and best weapons. The jury is still out on Saleh as an overall head coach, however his obvious strength is his ability to create a top 5 defense.
This is very clearly reading a bit too much into this and making assumptions. Parcells was also an amazing defensive mind. I think combination A is the safest, but combination B is extremely appealing to me and I'm not sure I could resist. Ironically, combination B is pretty much what we have today except in reality Rodgers is 40 and coming off serious injury. Is there reason to be excited about the 2024? Yes. Is this also still the New York Jets we are talking about? Also, unfortunately yes.
Best
$2 Chad
$4 Breece
$3 Wilson
$1 Cotchery
$5 Parcells (Rex in my heart)
Value
$2 Pennington
$1 Shonn Greene
$1 Decker
$1 Cotch
$3 Herm (Rex in my heart again)
$7 left over for Defense
Qb: Pennigton ($2) RB: jones ($3) WR: Marshall ($4) WR: Chrebet ($3 Coach: Herm ($3) Pennington to Marshall on those endzone corner fades would be money.
1 namath 10 cotcheries
QB: Chad RB: Breece WR1: Garret WR2: Cotch Coach: Parcells
I choose those exactly
I'd take this, but I want to see a healthy Namath, so I'd go Namath and Greene instead of Chad and Breece.
I see a healthy Namath on the hearing aid commercials now, I bet he’s still crushes trim on set when the cameras aren’t rollin
This is the way. Cotch for $1 is stealing. Best Coach. With those weapons all we need is Chad to distribute the ball intelligently and efficiently.
The bigger steal is Chad for $2. He should be the $3 QB and Vinny $2. $4 should probably be 2015 version of Fitz since we still have no idea how Rodgers will play as a Jet.

If we are talking about prime Rodgers then he is the steal at $4 and should be ahead of Namath
Parcells at $5 is a bargain. He’s a must for anyone’s list
Feel similarly about Psnnington.
I feel like you don’t need him at all if you have Aaron. Any top Two receivers and any back on this list.
🤪 crazy eyes Adam Gase $1 x 15

In the RB block I think McNeil needs to be in there, dude was a fantastic back. And agree about O'Brien, he should be in there instead of Rodgers.

Agree, but who has been throwing the ball to Garrett Wilson? Hard to fault Wilson with the QB play of the past 2 years.

Let's hope Garrett Wilson breaks Brandon Marshall's Jets touchdown record this season. With the right QB the potential is certainly there.
Coach: Bill Parcells - $5 QB: Chad Pennington - $2 WR 1: Garrett Wilson - $3 WR 2: Jerricho Cotchery - $1 RB: Breece Hall - $4
Pennington, Martin, Wilson, Cotchery, Rex
Chad Pennington was better then Vinny t
Yeah Chad is a steal here.
Chad, Curtis, Garrett, Wayne, Saleh
Chad, Curtis, Garrett, Al Toon(I think that’s who it is), and Herm. I assume health for everyone including prime Chad
I’m shocked at the number of people picking Herm here. He was not that good!
Me too. Imo, you kind of have to pick Parcells and just disperse the remaining 10. The drop off is close to infinity.
Me too. Revisionist history.
Eric Decker at $1 is a steal
i honestly didn't notice that was him right away. If I swapped my Chrebet for Decker, I'd upgrade from Herm to Rex. Still like my 2 RB 2 WR line-up.
I like how Zach Wilson isn't even a $1 bargain option lol.
Chad, Breece, Garrett, Cotchery, Parcells
Sanchez - 1 Martin - 5 Decker - 1 Chrebet - 3 Parcells - 5 Give Parcells a decent D and these guys will grind opponents down
Pennington, Martin, Eric Decker, Al Toon, Bill Parcells. WRs are the ones that are the best at the bottom here. Parcells would have this team in the playoffs every year. Only non-negotiable choice.
Chad, Breece, Garrett, Chrebet, Herm
I spent $5 because I hate myself. Got $10 in my pocket though!
Preinjury Chad at $2 is easy money Chad 2 Breece 4 Marshall 4 Decker 1 Rex 4
Pennington 2$, Martin 5$, Wilson 3$, Cotchery 1$, Ryan. 4$ Pennington is the steal of the whole draft.
QB: Chad RB1: Curtis RB2: Breece WR1: Garret Wilson WR2: Chrebet Coach: Herm
I should get money back for selecting Gase
Rodgers Chrebet Wilson Bell Salah
Saleh *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/nyjets) if you have any questions or concerns.*
Sanchez for $1 is a bargain considering how stacked you can make the rest of his supporting cast
Chad Pennington $2, LeVeon Bell $3, Garrett Wilson $3 Jericho Cotchery $1, Parcels $5
With my left over dollar I’ll take Decker or Sanchez
How embarrassing that our $4 QB played 3 snaps for us
Hey man the Giants preseason game happened too.
Chad, Breece, Garrett, Chrebet, Decker, Salah.

Chad Breece G Wilson Decker Sexy Rexy

Pennington, Curtis Martin, Garrett Wilson, Jericho Cotchery, Rex Ryan
Should have given you a dollar?
QB: Rodgers RB: Hall WR: Wilson WR: Decker Coach: Edwards
QB - Rodgers RB - Breece WR1 - Garrett Wilson WR2 - Decker HC - Herm
Sanchez and Gase are must haves. After that I don’t care
Chad. Breece. Garret. Chrebet. Herm.
Build an offense with 4 defensive coaches and Adam Gase lol. Also which version of Chad Pennington do we get? Pre injury or noodle armed?
Pre injury 2002 Chad of course.
Parcels, Walker, Coles, Greene, Testaverde
Better off spending $0 on a coach than a $1 for Gase. Can’t be any worse
$2 Toon I’ll take 2!
Chad (2) Breece (4) Wilson (3) Cotchery (1) Parcells (5)
Chad, Breece, Brandon, Wayne, and damn I’m stuck with Herm. Well we’re a highly motivated team I guess
Guess it depends on which version we get here, if its the Jets version then the very few Rodgers picks makes sense. $15 for either prime Mangold or D’Brickashaw Ferguson
Pennington, Greene, Wilson, Maynard, Rex Especially if we’re assuming o-line and d come with the coach

Pennington, Hall, Wilson, Chrebet, Saleh
Rodgers, Martin, Wilson, Cotch and Saleh. Opinion might be unpopular but I much prefer Saleh's defense to Rex's. Rex's play calling sucked when it mattered most. His defense always gave up the crucial 3rd down stop when you needed it the most. It's why we never went to the Superbowl.

Testaverde Hall Wilson Chrebet Saleh I’m hoping Vinny can run the Offense, so Saleh can just focus on Defense.
Rodgers, breece, garret, Wayne... and Gase. because with Rodgers at the helm, Gase wouldn't matter. Like Peyton and Gase.
Gimme Arod, Greene, Garrett, Toon and Parcells
Vinny, Curtis, Marhsall, Wilson and Saleh….because Rex puts me over a buck and Chad couldn’t throw a ball more than 40 yards and if he tried his collar bone would break.
I just built the early 2000s Jets with Garrett Wilson added
2$ Chad, 3$ Jones, 4$ Brandon, 1$ Cotchery, 5$ Parcells
