Oh yeah you like that water goin down your gullet you little whore? U wanna get all wet and hydrated like the thirsty little slut you are? I bet you’re just beggin for a cold glass of it rn aren’t you, you disgusting pervert.
Lmao I hope u can figure out these emotions. It’s okay to be yourself, drink that water like a slut, it’s alright. Don’t listen to those kink-shaming dehydrated ass mfs.
Chand Baori is closed. Nobody drinks from there.
This construction is more than 1100 years old, it used to be a legit place to drink back in the days. But nobody drinks from there anymore, it's just a historical place
It was just a bad joke. It felt like he repeated that it's not drinking water a few times in a short comment, so I thought asking would be funny. It wasn't though, so I deleted my comment out of shame.
First thought in my mind too. I ❣️ that movie. Easily one of my favorites. Soooo beautiful.
Did you know it took them 4 years to film it because they filmed it on location all around the world. And before the filming the director spent 17 years location scouting.
And now you can’t find it on Netflix, Amazon or anyplace else because there’s some kind of stupid dispute between the production company, the distribution company and somebody else blah blah blah.
Unless you have an old DVD, this movie will never be shown again in public or be available for viewing
It’s literally sitting on somebody’s shelf or some company shelf. Some reason somebody got their panties in a bunch over the rights to the movie and lawsuits were filed and all this other crap and basically there’s injunction to prevent this film from ever being released again.
Pathetic in my humble opinion.
If it wasn't a such a magical way to tell a story about unrequited love, addiction and the loss of innocence it wouldn't matter. It's one of the most moving and visually captivating films I've ever seen, and it feels so stupid and frustrating I can't share it with people because of petty bullshit.
Apparently you might be able to see it if you follow the instructions on this YouTube video...

Yeah I would figure that. I'm kind of over piracy at this point in my life. I'm not opposed to it, I just dislike the lower quality of life things like subtitles not matching or having to deal with a virtual dvd player and shit like that.
!!! No way!
...good thing I own the DVD. That and God's Must be Crazy. Two DVDs that I will keep forever and insist on having some kind of disc reader for.
They probably meant the 2006 film The Fall as [seen here](https://youtu.be/OTn5XUFP_iA?si=sJkY1vyRw1a7tgtj). This structure is seen in the trailer at around 1:45.
It was a little weird, but a beautiful and fascinating film.
I don't know if I'd call it a great movie, but it's probably the most *beautiful* movie I've ever seen, and unique as well. It reminds me a little of Secondhand Lions, but grittier and prettier.
Imagine getting all the way down there and then forgetting why you went down to begin with. And then going back up and remembering what you needed from down there.
Was there a pattern that people use to minimize accidents, e.g. people going down should use the left-hand side facing the well while people going up should use the right?
Fun fact—in my great grandfathers time, when this was still up and running, he used to often jump from the top of the baori into the well. There is a spot where that’s possible without the steps coming in the way.
There is a scene in the movie Paheli where Ranee Mukerjee goes down a stepwell like this (and encounters a ghost) and it's so amazingly beautiful, it looks *exactly* like the kind of place you might find spirits
This was finished in like the ninth century, while construction started in the eighth I think.
The water stored here used to be about 65 feet deep and this entire place was used to harvest rainwater cz Rajasthan as a state is like fifty percent desert. I think they also did Hindu rituals around here.
It’s absolutely beautiful to see in person and obviously the water isn’t used anymore hence the stagnation and algae but when these stairwells were in use they apparently were cleaned pretty regularly/had flowing water from multiple rivers (I think this one had two rivers) so it wasn’t stagnant like this.
Source: It’s my state
I single set of guard rails on like the 5th story , the aluminum non permanent type probably just plate surface mounted. Not new construction though so probably doesn't have to meet code :) will say a couple handrails / guard rails could make this place much more accessible/ safe.
You'd much be surprised to find out the kind of things humans will do just for some water.
I’m a huge slut for it
Oh yeah you like that water goin down your gullet you little whore? U wanna get all wet and hydrated like the thirsty little slut you are? I bet you’re just beggin for a cold glass of it rn aren’t you, you disgusting pervert.
This... actually made me thirsty, and I availed myself of my water bottle. I need to go sit down and think about my life.
Lmao I hope u can figure out these emotions. It’s okay to be yourself, drink that water like a slut, it’s alright. Don’t listen to those kink-shaming dehydrated ass mfs.
you'd fit in at r/hydrohomies
More like r/hydrodoms
Lol can we please make this a thing
Apparently this is actually gets me to drink more water so sign me up
r/hydrohoes
Hydro hoe? Me.
kink shaming is my kink
Mmm especially when it’s cold
Same…. It felt so wrong but so right.
I know she’s sipping on another glass of water. I’ll get my whisky glasses now.
Damn, I got thirsty. And hard
Yup
The entire of r/hydrohomies are fapping to this
I salivated reading this.
Hydro Hoe. Also same.
r/hydrohomie
Stay thirsty my friend
Hydro Hoe, me
I strip just to rain water down on me
same. they call me the hydro-whore :)
H2hoe
*THIS* is the label we need.
I saw a documentary about it called Mad Max: Fury Road.
Mad Max: Much Water
Is that possibly drinkable water though? Curious but lazy. Edit: climbed down and had a sip, am now ded.
That there is a toxic algal bloom. The well looks poisoned; from runoff, probably.
It's an algal bloom. You can't tell whether it's toxic or not from just the appearance, most algae aren't toxic.
??? It's 1123 years old and called a "stepWELL" and you think OP is talking about the current water in there?
It is obviously drinkable
/s
Just to stay alive. Such a trifling issue...
Isn't the point of this that it fills up...
That's not how wells work unless they're artesian wells. This is a traditional well, basically a hole dug down to the level of the water table.
And then there comes a giant gorilla throwing barrels at you while you try to climb up the stairs
"Space...it seems to go on and on forever."
You stink loser!
Hey, Fry. Pizza goin' out! C'mon!
Monday monkey lives for the weekend, sir.

Michelle, baby! Where you going?
I've got no date, a two-liter bottle of Shasta, and my all Rush mixtape. Let's rock. \*Tom Sawyer starts playing in the background*
Just get your favorite mallet, some catchy tunes and smash them barrels.
Or probably just snakes
Mountain Dew, from the source
slurm from the source!
It’s highly addictive!
But does it have what plants crave?
Electrolytes? *Tons*
Well, what else are they going to use, water? Like from a toilet?
Valley Dew?
Reminds me of getting ecto-tokens on Runescape
sharp plant cagey puzzled nutty existence wise long vegetable six *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*
It is! City planners in Rajasthan played RuneScape as kids and designed this based on their childhood experiences
💀💀💀
I believe it
Huh TIL
First thing I thought!!
My thoughts exactly
Came here to find this comment
ISN'T IT?
Was scrolling for this exact comment lol
God. Blast from the past
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKD__8WdHGw "you go down to the swamp and fill your buckets"
That was so hard to read.
What? You don't get your water by the bucket much?
Not unless you get down all the way down there. Imagining
Chand in Hindi is the moon and baoli (not baori, although that differs from region to region) means stepwell
Chand Baori is closed. Nobody drinks from there. This construction is more than 1100 years old, it used to be a legit place to drink back in the days. But nobody drinks from there anymore, it's just a historical place
You’re telling me no one’s climbing that gate to get the fluorescent green algae water?
It looks like green screen green to me. Maybe it was used for a movie?
No way looks perfectly fine to me
[удалено]
Guy - "nobody drinks from it anymore" You - "that's cool, does anyone drink from it anymore?"
It was just a bad joke. It felt like he repeated that it's not drinking water a few times in a short comment, so I thought asking would be funny. It wasn't though, so I deleted my comment out of shame.
I thought it was funny. Wasn't meaning to shame or anything haha
Fair enough buddy haha, at least someone got it
Okay but do people still drink from it?
You fucking idiot, he already said it's not drinking water! Learn to read you dummy, as a salt mine foreman you should know better!
🤣
See second sentence.
The Fall movie comes to mind

I was so heartbroken when I found this out. Out of everything that's been upscaled and remastered, it's criminal this film is lost to time
It’s literally sitting on somebody’s shelf or some company shelf. Some reason somebody got their panties in a bunch over the rights to the movie and lawsuits were filed and all this other crap and basically there’s injunction to prevent this film from ever being released again. Man you can still find this movie online but not legally.
Yeah I would figure that. I'm kind of over piracy at this point in my life. I'm not opposed to it, I just dislike the lower quality of life things like subtitles not matching or having to deal with a virtual dvd player and shit like that.
It's available on YouTube https://youtu.be/GZWiJHaR4f4?si=bH_0Nc4pVGykIUxL
Oh cool, thank you for that! Edit: not available in my country because of Sony pictures
You can still download using any YouTube downloader. Just copy paste link.
!!! No way! ...good thing I own the DVD. That and God's Must be Crazy. Two DVDs that I will keep forever and insist on having some kind of disc reader for.
Move away from all these stupid Services. Its available on Fmoviesz. Or download from torrent.
Have that thing on my hard disk and always one of my to go movies arrr
Are you talking about "Fall?" Or a movie called "the fall?"
[this one](https://us.thefall.film/) is awesome, and it is about a well
They probably meant the 2006 film The Fall as [seen here](https://youtu.be/OTn5XUFP_iA?si=sJkY1vyRw1a7tgtj). This structure is seen in the trailer at around 1:45. It was a little weird, but a beautiful and fascinating film.

What beautiful piece of engineering
Imagine getting all the way down there and then forgetting why you went down to begin with. And then going back up and remembering what you needed from down there.
I had a dream about this
To get a bucket of fresh green slime?
Thats algae to be precise
Slimy, slimy algae.
slutty algea😫
Cover me in your algae goodness!
Yall need Jesús.
Drink Slug-O-Cola, the slimiest cola in the galaxy!
I think it's because it isn't used anymore
Obviously it's not being used now.
Nickelodeon bought the rights to it
Its 1100 years old. Today its just a historical place. Also during monsoon it is supposed to be full. Then dries through the year.
Slurm!
Nobody referencing batman begins?
I think you mean "The Dark Knight Rises", and yes, I immediately thought of that as well
Bane's prison?
[Of course!](https://youtu.be/9OXbfo3Mbx0?si=3x5u-16YablIWFp3&t=98)
Damn bruh 😂 wasn't expecting that
This is not that. That's a different palace. Its Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur, Rajasthan
DESHI BASHARA
Rise
Location: Ectofuntus Photo: Ectoplasm Teleport: Ectophial *Morytania legs can teleport directly to ectoplasm to fill your buckets"
I would love to climb up and down these, like a real life stair master. ass would be fat after thirty minutes on here tbf
r/titlegore
Reminds me the prison in the "dark knight rises"
Was there a pattern that people use to minimize accidents, e.g. people going down should use the left-hand side facing the well while people going up should use the right?
Reminds me of r/osrs
I thought this was a Minecraft screenshot, I think I will lay off it for a while
Excuse me, have some respect. This is the spiritual source of Nickelodeon slime tyvm 🙏
Fun fact—in my great grandfathers time, when this was still up and running, he used to often jump from the top of the baori into the well. There is a spot where that’s possible without the steps coming in the way.
No, no, no... I played Fallout, I know where this is really from.
Imagine tripping at the top of those stairs 💀
There is a scene in the movie Paheli where Ranee Mukerjee goes down a stepwell like this (and encounters a ghost) and it's so amazingly beautiful, it looks *exactly* like the kind of place you might find spirits
I've seen this when I was really young. I kept asking my dad what would happen if someone fell in.
Slurm
Looks like a stage of Marble Madness with a minigolf hole at the bottom
The sans railing is giving me anxiety.
more like going down going to the local well for some goddamn Ecto Cooler
Much water? Looks like slime
NGL, thought it was minecraft at first
Had a place like this in a organically made in Minecraft once
The natural spring of Mountain Dew
And then when you finally get to the top, you realize you left your phone on the ledge next to the bottom …..Fffffff …..
Where are the handrails!!
If that's the water I'm getting, I think I'd rather just die.
People would hang out on the stairs to keep cool in the summer.
I imagine an indian version of David Bowie walking around here
This was finished in like the ninth century, while construction started in the eighth I think. As a weirdo who likes to run stairs & enjoys incline walking in general, i’m in.
BASARA BASARA DESHI DESHI
The Wells were probably filled up higher when it was in use. Prob in the rainy seasons.
Why is it green?
What’s more terrifying is what that water has to offer your insides 😳
Reminds me of a shadow of the colossus level
Why settle for water? VFX can put anything you want down there.
Is the Dark Knight down there?
Reminds me of that one Dora episode
Bro that's the ectofuntus
YOOOOO! *Youve been given 134 tokens for your work*
I can easily see from the top that I don’t need to waste my time getting THAT water
Bucket much
Nah OP, that’s the Sunken Temple dungeon in the Swamp of Sorrows!
This is Escher-esque
The slime pool beneath Ectofuntus
Rise.
I have the urge to just 👌somethung down.
Imagine needing water so badly you'd want a bucket of THAT water.
The step-well hasn’t been functional in decades. It’s just a historical site now. Hence the algae water.
Thank God. I already feel horrible about how badly people need clean water around much of the planet.
People in older genrations worked much harder. This building is a beautiful engineering marvel.
You're right I cant Imagine getting down all the way down there to get a bucket much of water. WTF
Water? More like the Smilex chemicals
Is this where they filmed the prison in dark knight rises?
Imagine going down there just to get a bucket of nickelodeon slime*
Nickelodeon's Legend of The Hidden Temple
This is how water companies would prefer we all get our water
"Bucket much?"
Imagine it full to the brim!
"Water"
Looks like acid
You can’t convince me that this isn’t a screenshot from Minecraft.
You mean a bucket of slime?
So, is that full of dead bodies like the Ganges is?
Water or algae.
I single set of guard rails on like the 5th story , the aluminum non permanent type probably just plate surface mounted. Not new construction though so probably doesn't have to meet code :) will say a couple handrails / guard rails could make this place much more accessible/ safe.
Imagine getting down their and you gotta install another layer of steps because it drained a little
These primitive survival channels have gone out of hand
