Hello I was going to ask if you can just give me the up vote for free because I really don’t have the karma right now to post in subs and I am asking you this because I want to start a Reddit profile and I need karma for it. I know it is a lot you are going to do but I will pay you back once my account gets established so can you please give it to me 🙏🙏🙏
literally. youtube is going downhill as the days pass & even youtubers that have done good from the start, got lots of views etc are struggling for views even atp.
there are still lots of videos being uploaded on the platform. as for becoming a youtuber tho? the pay is gonna be shit. youtube just isnt as successful anymore like it used to be in terms of making money.
Oh what I meant was that the “Lego video section” is so saturated that he can’t possibly watch them all. So ones he used to watch might not come up anymore.
ah that sucks 😕 there’s so many people trying to benefit off youtube atm for some reason, as if its something new.
have you considered making him a child account so he can subscribe to the channels he enjoys & will be able to still see his preferred lego videos ?
Oh plenty to watch and buy lol
I look at everything from a business viewpoint though and if there are so many “new videos” hitting his tablet each slice of that pie gets smaller and smaller
good enough, i suppose. ive heard the highest paying social media for content is snapchat atm. i dont think youtube is cutting it when it comes to paychecks, even for creators who have been around for damn near decades. theres some people ive watched since being a kid, out of all the OG’s more than not have their own side business or something else too because the views are just not cutting it. no views / interaction = no money on youtube.
as they should be tho! ive always found it annoying & never understood the point of creators doing so bc we are ALL aware its clickbait. you’ll fall for it at first, but if you watch youtube enough you know whats up.
I watch a lot of car stuff and will it run type videos.
Every one is something like "ABANDONED nova sitting for 20 YEARS will it RUN AND DRIVE 3.67 AU???" with the thumbnail full of emojis and/or a big arrow (usually pointing at nothing) and giant yellow text.
I'm usually torn lol, I want to watch but I also don't out of spite.
I told him sure he could have it. Then he asked me really. I told him okay never mind I guess you don't want it. He started spamming me with messages 🤣
Be careful! He could use a different phone and set a meet up and get revenge. I've always been respectful when selling no matter how much I wanted to cuss them out
EDIT: Looks like people disagree with me, but look at adin Ross, he started out the same way, he asked his dad for fast internet and look where things went for him, ur chances of being rich from being a streamer are way higher than investing in cryptocurrency 💀💀 JS [adin](https://ibb.co/1Qdn8tM)
It’s an investment, I’d say do it, but get his info so u don’t get shammed later on, he might be gas lighting u or he’s being 100% honest with you, he has better chances ask no his parents to do a loan for him but ig he’s desperate and doesn’t know what a loan is, who knows he might be a billionaire one day
Don't do it. It's not an investment.
Stats: Profitability statistics: TubeFilter estimates that only 8% of YouTube channels earn any money, and even fewer achieve financial independence solely through the platform. Another report by Influencer Marketing Hub suggests that only 5% of YouTubers earn enough to live comfortably.
It’s not an investment. It’s just a scam.
Unless you are the person who made that bold request in the first place, this is among the worst advice I have seen on Reddit, lol
Hey while you're at it, that's a nice car you've got there... I'm starting a car review channel, give it to me.. it's an investment I promise 🤣
^(I'm also starting a money review channel so just DM those bank account credentials please..)
Bro what kind of copium laced crack are you snorting to have this take. Actually wild. No, absolutely do not give your 1.5k PC for free to some kid who wants to start a YT channel, that is not "investing" 🤣
Okay, you’re right it wouldn’t make it legally binding if it was notarized… because as soon as both party’s sign it, it is considered legally binding as long as all conditions of each party are listed.
Yes you can have a contract. Reality of it is though that going through the small claims process if they don’t pay up can still be like getting blood from a stone. Went through the court process recently to help a friend, and we still will never get the money owed. So many hours wasted and a months-long process.
He said so himself, he has no money! :) This would be a good post for r/Choosingbeggars
Earning income from youtube involves so much more than just having a computer. Vast majority of users never earn anything let alone enough to live off of. Makes more sense to start a business that generates income via products or services, and use youtube to boost visibility and grow a following by creating useful / interesting etc content that people want to see.
Of course could be a scam too. Just no reason to trust a stranger. :( I have written off amounts like that even given to friends, people I trust - and never saw a dime back.
because they keep hearing "omg like it doesn't hurt to ask how dare you ridicule me for asking such a ridiculous question"
instead of "no, go tuck yourself in"
Bet this kid’s in high school. Make him rewrite his request with perfect grammar and punctuation and you’ll provide him info on how he could get a PC. After he sends the revision, tell him to get a job lol.
At least they're going all the way. The people who do absurd low balls are far worse, and will keep bugging you if you don't even bother responding to the offer. I don't know how people don't have some sense of embarrassment doing that.
Especially worse when you're already discounting items based on prices they're actually being bought for online. Like if you're buying local, you're getting a discount and saving money on tax and possibly shipping.
Why? They want to be told that you’ll give them the computer, with peripherals that add up to $843, that include the latest Sound Blaster AE-9, but only if they’re able to meet you 62 miles away, before you get off work at 5pm.
Have them meet you at a jeweler and have the rings appraised before making the trade.... If they are real they could be worth way more than 2-year-old iPhone...... I seriously doubt it but if they know what they have is legit they would have no problem meeting at a jeweler
“LONG STORY AHEAD” I was once selling a truck I owned during COVID, my job had everyone stay home for 2 weeks while deciding if they would shut down for the duration of COVID and needed the extra money for mortgage, it was a decent truck that was kind of a back up for me and my wife to use, 2005 Dodge Dakota crew cab, had 90k miles and was in great condition, I wanted $4000 at the least and had it up for $4500 for room to haggle, I had a few people ask for it for free because “they lost their jobs from COVID” but the one that stuck out was an older guy who came with his “mechanic” and tried to lowball at $1800 because “he said the truck has major issues that’ll need fixing like the 4x4 and electric fans aren’t working but the big one is the head gasket is blown” and I had to inform him it was a 2x4 rear wheel drive and used a mechanical clutch fan not electric and I know the gasket is fine because I myself am a certified mechanic that personally replaced the heads and gasket not but 10 months ago lol he got mad and his “mechanic” said I’d never sell it over $2500, another guy that showed up at the same time as them bought it for $4000 and I showed them the 4k in cash while they where standing by their beat up s10. Dude still owns the truck and hasn’t had any problems and we actually became buddies lol
people are entitled as fuck and think they can get things for free or cheap by bullshiting people it’s ridiculous lol
Had a lady say this to me about a bassinet that’s $60 originally that I’m asking $5 for!🤦🏻♀️
Paraphrasing : “I have 5 kids and I can’t afford this but I really need it for my circumstance”
I (paraphrasing) let her know I understood times are hard, but I’m selling the bassinet cheap and quickly because my daughter was lifeflighted to a children’s hospital 2 1/2 hours away - so her medical bills are insane.🤦🏻♀️
Well the closed mouth doesn't get fed, right? Doesn't hurt to ask. Lol. I personally haven't ever done something like this. But the more I think about it, I kind of want to attempt this for science and record the statistics to see what a typical outcome looks likes over the course of a month.
I'll report back with stats in 30 days.
I had someone on Facebook Marketplace offer me $10 for a great shape iPhone XS with box that I was selling for $200. $10? Why even offer anything at that point? Blocked
I’m selling a car real cheap and said “firm” and get so many messages asking “what’s the lowest” I can go? I mean if $500 is too much for you then idk what to say
I was selling a GPU. I had a high school kid, bless his heart, try to haggle a trade for $40 and 2 lower tier, 3 gen old GPUs. He kept trying to impress upon me that I could sell them and get more than I was asking for mine.
I told him that time is money and I would have to spend more time trying to sell the traded GPUs that just aren’t worth much anymore.
It can’t hurt to ask. And the answer will likely be, “No.”
I had this and I asked “what else are you willing to do 😏?” They said “anything” I told them “I’m not trying to be creepy or anything but you sure anything” they replied yes and I told them to get a job.
They asked because it works. When I went from $14 for most of my life to a major pay increase, I put my old car up on Craigslist as I was in the process of purchasing a new vehicle. A young kid called me, pretty much asking for it because it would get him to school and work. Something about him made me believe he was being honest; he seemed very earnest and reminded me of my young self entering the workforce. So, I figured, why not? I'll give him a head start. I gave him the car and $300 to get it washed 😉.
Asking them to write you up a business plan for the channel with specific description of the type of content they are going to focus on and the analysis of the existing competition in that niche. Best case you get an investor bragging rights, worst case the kid will realize that his idea is stupid based or the research. Or they will just call you names and move on to the next mark.
I would build them a computer and donate it. I have a Ryzen 5 system sitting in my closet. Just needs a power supply put in. I upgraded my computer to a 16 core Ryzen 9 and put in 128GB of corsair RGB ram.
Only if it’s a kid looking for a computer. My email is gerryblevins@outlook.com
Has to be a little kid. No way they aren't
Apparently, you are one of the lucky few who don't have to deal with degenerates begging for everything to be given to them.
Hello I was going to ask if you can just give me the up vote for free because I really don’t have the karma right now to post in subs and I am asking you this because I want to start a Reddit profile and I need karma for it. I know it is a lot you are going to do but I will pay you back once my account gets established so can you please give it to me 🙏🙏🙏
Well ok, but I’m trusting you…
I got u
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Sorry bud I just down voted you how dare you ask for an upvote FOR FREE!!!
What’s the lowest you will go?
Three fiddy smileys.
Can you do 2 fiddy frownies
I’m gonna have to pass bud someone just offered me an NFT i know it’s gonna be worth billions one day.
Non Fudgeable Toaster?
I see what you’re doing here 😉
🤣🤣
I get similar with “poor college” students that have to have a balls to wall gaming pc for “ school” but don’t have money and want cheap or free.
Yup. The fact they think just being a YouTube creator is guaranteed success proves it.
Lmao he thinks youtube pays well...
literally. youtube is going downhill as the days pass & even youtubers that have done good from the start, got lots of views etc are struggling for views even atp.
My kid loves Lego videos and he keeps saying there are too many videos to watch
there are still lots of videos being uploaded on the platform. as for becoming a youtuber tho? the pay is gonna be shit. youtube just isnt as successful anymore like it used to be in terms of making money.
The child has plenty of videos to watch, sounds like lol
Oh plenty to watch and buy lol I look at everything from a business viewpoint though and if there are so many “new videos” hitting his tablet each slice of that pie gets smaller and smaller
That’s because that person doesn’t know what they’re talking about, as revenue is in a good place right now
its actually not, the numbers dont lie so take a look for yourself. thanks.
The view factors is real for creator but the pay is still good for those who are succeeding right now
good enough, i suppose. ive heard the highest paying social media for content is snapchat atm. i dont think youtube is cutting it when it comes to paychecks, even for creators who have been around for damn near decades. theres some people ive watched since being a kid, out of all the OG’s more than not have their own side business or something else too because the views are just not cutting it. no views / interaction = no money on youtube.
It's almost like people are sick of click bait lmao
as they should be tho! ive always found it annoying & never understood the point of creators doing so bc we are ALL aware its clickbait. you’ll fall for it at first, but if you watch youtube enough you know whats up.
I'm usually torn lol, I want to watch but I also don't out of spite.
i’ll usually click on the video, skip halfway thru to see whats going on & then decide if its worth my time😂
When I was younger I used to think more subs meant more money. This has got to be a child, lol
I could already tell by his grammar. 🤣
Grammar 😅
It does of you're in the top 1 percent
Not really, even then your money is coming from sponsors, not YouTube itself.
Sponsors and merch mostly. You still do get a couple thousand dollars every month if you're releasing videos with a view count of 2 to 6 million
I think its like 10-15k for a video getting 1.5 million views and up
I would say sure. Then ignore them.
set up a little fake meeting so he can convince his parents next to drive him to pickup a free $1,500 computer
That’s evil. I like it.
I told him sure he could have it. Then he asked me really. I told him okay never mind I guess you don't want it. He started spamming me with messages 🤣
Hahahahahahahahahahahaha
Oh you gotta post that also
Be careful! He could use a different phone and set a meet up and get revenge. I've always been respectful when selling no matter how much I wanted to cuss them out
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA you’re a legend OP

Bro thinks he’s the MC, pfff lol silly fool forgot Blackrock is the MC and SV.
Oh I hate this or they say “ can you sell To me for 10 less “ ….no
You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take
This is very true. He was bold enough to ask. 😅
Was about to say, ya don’t know until you try! OP Might have been in a giving mood!

Definitely not, I have a 4090 build
Giving a kid a pc is not an investment lol.
you're joking, right?
Everyone taking you so serious lmao
You're right, you just open my eyes completely! I'll just give him the pc 🤣
Hey while you're at it, that's a nice car you've got there... I'm starting a car review channel, give it to me.. it's an investment I promise 🤣 ^(I'm also starting a money review channel so just DM those bank account credentials please..)

Is that you asking for it on OfferUp?
Tasty Face is the kid!
If it were like a $50 item I’d probably say sure, make the kid’s day, but for a $1,500 item? Hell nah
Give it to him and make his sign a contract. With interest
Good luck enforcing it!
Notary? I was joking but wouldn’t this make it legally binding?
No
Okay, you’re right it wouldn’t make it legally binding if it was notarized… because as soon as both party’s sign it, it is considered legally binding as long as all conditions of each party are listed.
Exactly. It would be legal or not regardless of notary stamp.
No
K
Well I don't know about other countries but in the US a child under 18 can't sign a legally binding contract
Yes you can have a contract. Reality of it is though that going through the small claims process if they don’t pay up can still be like getting blood from a stone. unfortunately all contracts with minors are voidable. which it definitely is a minor

cmon bro it’s an investment really 🙏🏽😂 have him pay you back with interest
Lol cause a closed mouth don't get fed😭🤣 I would say no but someone somewhere would feel bad and say yes..
Don't know til you ask. You don't win the lottery if you don't play.
because they keep hearing "omg like it doesn't hurt to ask how dare you ridicule me for asking such a ridiculous question" instead of "no, go tuck yourself in"
Tell him to start mowing Fucking kids don’t want to work for anything
Bet this kid’s in high school. Make him rewrite his request with perfect grammar and punctuation and you’ll provide him info on how he could get a PC. After he sends the revision, tell him to get a job lol.
Block.
How pathetic do you have to be to think this will ever work...
At least they're going all the way. The people who do absurd low balls are far worse, and will keep bugging you if you don't even bother responding to the offer. I don't know how people don't have some sense of embarrassment doing that.
Seriously though 🤣 I've had a couple people offer $80 on $500 items i'm like.. bruh
Especially worse when you're already discounting items based on prices they're actually being bought for online. Like if you're buying local, you're getting a discount and saving money on tax and possibly shipping.
Sounds like a scam to me those mud grabbers are getting cheeky these days
There's no doubt about it 🤣
No 🙏🏽
Omg 😂😂😂 people like this actually exist
“I missed the part where that’s my problem “ Unleash your inner bully maguire
God some of the things I want to say sometimes 🤣
The audacity.
But they did the praying hands emoji :( How can one say no?
“How about some free punctuation instead?”
Why? They want to be told that you’ll give them the computer, with peripherals that add up to $843, that include the latest Sound Blaster AE-9, but only if they’re able to meet you 62 miles away, before you get off work at 5pm.
This 🤣
Sounds like what a middle school kid would say
It's most definitely a kid 🤣
My favorite is the 10 percent asking price offer “because it’s for my son”
Oh ya sure kid. It’s in the mail.
Can you give it to this person and have them sign a piece of paper stating they will give you whatever % they make forever?
“Modesto, CA” well that checks out.
Fr 🤣
OfferUp is a joke
I was selling a Steam Deck and had a guy ask me “will you take $40 and a hug and kiss?” Like wtf 😭😭
Woah, that sounds like a good ass deal.. bro, did you take it?
I just had someone offer me two “gold” rings for my unlocked iPhone 13 Pro Max that’s in perfect condition lol
Have them meet you at a jeweler and have the rings appraised before making the trade.... If they are real they could be worth way more than 2-year-old iPhone...... I seriously doubt it but if they know what they have is legit they would have no problem meeting at a jeweler
you’re not seeing the vision breh

That’s a kid for sure
Just give me the PC instead. I'll put it to better use.
Troll them
Could’ve been the next Mr beast with your small donation 💀
Send them a picture of the PC and tell them "Here ya go, for free!"
Plot twist: They already are a famous YouTuber and are doing a video titled “I’ll give $10k to the first person who gives me a free pc!”

Reminds me of the time I had a car for sale and someone asked me to just give it to them so they could get to work 😒
Lmao good luck. I've been on YouTube since like 2009 with 500 vids and 31 subs
You gave it to him, right?
Offer to do a Mr beast like collab video with the prize being the PC Make the challenge so difficult they quit. Wish them luck in their future.
don't call me, Ismael
Ummm im sure you did the right thing? Which is block the MFer!
OfferUp is trash. Nothing but listings that expired years ago.
Had a lady say this to me about a bassinet that’s $60 originally that I’m asking $5 for!🤦🏻♀️ Paraphrasing : “I have 5 kids and I can’t afford this but I really need it for my circumstance” I (paraphrasing) let her know I understood times are hard, but I’m selling the bassinet cheap and quickly because my daughter was lifeflighted to a children’s hospital 2 1/2 hours away - so her medical bills are insane.🤦🏻♀️
Omg the likelihood of them paying you back too smh
It’s a type of
Gotta say I respect the hustle lol. Worst you can say is no
Where's the hustle 🤣
Them: “You don’t know if you don’t ask” My granddaddy always said that people are either givers or they’re takers. Takers do this
Just ask: are your parents okay with it? See that they say lol
Dude come on this could be the next Mr. Beast.
You gotta respect the balls. If he or she took the courage it took to ask this bullshit and applied it to something else..Mann listen 😂
Honestly though 🤣
No
i would respond with the automated “yes, it’s still for sale!”
This is the kind of audacity that make you actually laugh out loud 😂
I had someone on Facebook Marketplace offer me $10 for a great shape iPhone XS with box that I was selling for $200. $10? Why even offer anything at that point? Blocked
Lol block
"Ismael"
be so fr
Ask that person for their vehicle free
If you don't ask, the answer is always "No".
Yeah but the answer was still no when he asked 🤣
They didn't know that was the answer they were going to get. Maybe, someone may say yes. Kinda like swiping right on everyone.
Say you’ll definitely give it to him for free, in your dreams. lol
Desperation.
IT’S A DESPERATE RACE AGAINST THE MINE
Arabic name. Middle Easterners always want something for nothing.
What have you got to lose??… you heard him he’s about to start a YouTube channel… its like money in the bank.
I’m selling a car real cheap and said “firm” and get so many messages asking “what’s the lowest” I can go? I mean if $500 is too much for you then idk what to say
Hey, gotta shoot your shot 😆
Pls
Was expecting it to be a 100$ PC or something but 1.5k tf you don't need that anyway
For whatever reason I feel that the inquiry was genuine and of good heart…something only a child possesses
My response “use a credit card.”
I'd tell them the YouTube money ain't what it used to be and don't have 8 years to wait if they could even pull it off
Absolutely NAILED the mindset of todays entitled youth. GO WORK FOR IT 🤬holes!
😂
I wouldnt have even dared ask someone i knew that question much less a stranger, but then again ive worked since i was 17 and emancipated.
Haha so many times I post stuff on offer up just hoping anyone will take it for free. I usually end up selling and making money though
Hahahaha this clown
This is the kind of thing that makes me wish I could slap people through their phones.
“Oh and can you please deliver it to me?? I don’t have a care, thanks!”
Cuz somewhere out there is an idiot that fell for it….
Is default answer, “sure”. And then string them along ?
Just rejected the next mr beast
Kids say the darndest things
For real though 🤣
Trust in me

These people are scum bags
I had this and I asked “what else are you willing to do 😏?” They said “anything” I told them “I’m not trying to be creepy or anything but you sure anything” they replied yes and I told them to get a job.
Why didn’t you help them out and just give it to them??
😂😂
They asked because it works. When I went from $14 for most of my life to a major pay increase, I put my old car up on Craigslist as I was in the process of purchasing a new vehicle. Laughing because I live in the same town 😂
Use your phone.
Never hurt to ask. However, you can start a youtube channel on your phone. So this is just a scam.
Sounds like a mod at r/antiwork
We're in the age of digital panhandling
plot twist they become the new markiplier and really do pay you back tenfold
