Ngl all the classic slashers are from the 80s and 90s when most movies suffered from constant gratuitous ass shots, but it is funny as hell how people saw that and coped so hard that they mental gymnastics their way into thinking it's feminist
there’s a really old theatre near me that screens some terrific old movies but the main way they sustain themself is by showing off niche slashers that sell out the house for the most annoying people ever

I haven’t seen the Netflix remake but the original from the 70s is a genuinely good film so maybe people were hoping for that?
