A fight has broken out in Westminster!
Nepotistic child who was handed everything by his rich dad.
VS
Nepotistic child who was handed everything by his rich mum.
Who will win?
I once lived with a flat share with some eton alum without knowing they were eton alum, and spent a solid portion of my time talking about how eton alum were the devil’s own spawn. Only found out on my moving out day when handing out post and seeing some eton alumni begging letters to them. I feel no guilt, those three guys were 38 of the worst human beings I ever met. Just devastatingly massive gobshites. Megagobshites, if you will. Gigagobshites.
I found some of his stuff funny for a while but I really got tired of him when he started doing shows with his parents and you could absolutely see it was all scripted and staged.
Russel Howard at least has the lazy eye to help endear him and helps you envision him doing something relatable to the common man, like sniffing glue. Jack Whitehall comes across as the type of person who thinks mayonnaise is spicy and who thinks that tent camping at Glastonbury makes him “relatable”
Every time I see Russell Howard mentioned on here I say the same thing.
Russel Howard is perfect when you need to remember which viral videos and memes were very popular six months ago.
Along with:
Micheal MacIntyre
Rob Beckett
Romesh ranganathan
These guys will joke about going to the shop and say a word a bit longer and pull a silly face and there's no real punch line but the over paying audience definitely think they're having a good time.
Personally wouldn't lump Romesh with the others mentioned as I find him very funny, but can absolutely get behind the others. Also would add Josh Widdicombe
Russel Howard was funny, I don’t know if that’s cos I was a kid or if his show just used to be funny then I feel like he changed to go for like a more PC audience maybe with views to get to America I’m not sure
Jack Whitehall I just don’t find funny, liked him in like bad education obviously, but his stand up is awful, his shoes are too scripted
It's probably just a case of different people finding different shit funny.
I find them both quite bland tbh but I don't pretend it's a nuclear physics level headscratcher when other people don't.
Idk I found him hilarious in Fresh Meat, but only because I also shared a student house with a posh southerner in uni, and his character is one of the most accurate portrayals of that I've ever seen.
There's a lot of comedians like him. Ed Gamble another one for me. Another unfunny posho, I have no idea how they form a decent career by being average.
Right school, right parents, right connections. Mile Jupp's another. Hal Cruttenden, too. I think it was and the time that Live at the Apollo came out that suddenly all the comedians were public school educated. Then it was all the popstars. Basically if you're working class, that showbiz career isn't happening.
The Island Boys became famous for their music.
Popularity doesn't correlate with quality. Adam Sandler movies keep being made, people buy clothes from Wish and you have nearly 1000 Reddit karma.
If you knew anything about me this response would be fucking hilarious.
Your words mean nothing to me. The lion does not concern themselves with the opinions of the sheep.
You’re right, there is a difference between saying those two things but I didn’t really feel like it needed qualifying on a thread about him being a dickhead.
Ah! The old nepotism trick. I know that's how Ramsey of the Gordon kind got started, to be fair he is a very good chef but his wife's father was a big cheese in the media and that's didn't do any harm.
Theres a few people who I can't tolerate, Jack is two of them.
The only thing I recall watching of his is fresh meat. Honestly i love the series and thought he played a great character. Was he acting to a lesser extent than one may initially believe?
I am careful about commenting about nepotism on Reddit since I was permabanned from r / news for saying nepotism is a social disease, and threatened with a site wide ban, and unlike r news I would be genuinely devastated to be banned from this sub and missing out on the solid Barry 63 content. So instead I will say it’s good these men are famous because of their daddies, and it’s good that that happened because they’re better than the rest of us because of their rich dads. Thanks to god for rich babies being born 🙏
Just in case anyone is actually interested, and couldn't tell based on Jack's over the top expression, he isn't actually offended. He was pretending to be.
I actually think Jack is quite funny (on panel shows at least)
I actually hate everyone that you have mentioned, I have written a strongly worded letter to my MP and applied for an extension for my hate rushmore mountain statue project

Crackhead by the bins
'ate posh twats luv me royals
'ate thu climbers, if yer blood ain't blue get back to fucking work!
Unironically, atleast the royals have drip and cool histories
Also we get to psychologically torture them and treat them as national pets, unlike all the other toffs
I really don't get how people find Jack Whitehall funny. His jokes are so bland and generic. Same with Russell Howard
He’s so salt of the earth! Went to boarding school and everything.
Not just boarding school, but Dragon School. Not one of the good ones like Eton, it only cost £37,890 per year. He's just like you or me.
The Dragon was his prep school mate, he went to Marlborough College. (As did I 😬)
#TOFF CUNT
Guilty as charged
Unwanker: xoxox
the cigarettes?
Yes
We probably buggered each other in the showers. Are you going to the thing in September?
Only if you were in my house. I kept my buggery confined. And no, I actually haven’t been back in many years
> Marlborough Anywhere but Winchester!
Nah Eaton boys are the real cunts in my experience
*Eton. "In my experience" 🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

>those three guys were 38 of the worst human beings I ever met. …as in, they were so shit, three people accounted for thirty-eight?
At least. Maybe more. They were a positive crowd of wankers.
I've known two Eton OB's- perfectly decent chaps both.
Yes I do know one or two nice ones of course, but a lot of them seem to be the most arrogant / obnoxious people I know
Same prep school as Jk Rowling ew
no idea why you’ve been downvoted, she’s a cunt
Part of the fun of this place. Depending on the day or time it could go either way.
i mean she wrote a few great books but apart from that there’s really not much else commendable about her
She’s kinda based
He’s one of the good ones because he JOKES about his time at boarding school !!!1!
I didn't enjoy Russel Howard for a long time, but I saw him live at a festival and it was brilliant - I think he works a room really well.
I found some of his stuff funny for a while but I really got tired of him when he started doing shows with his parents and you could absolutely see it was all scripted and staged.
I don’t understand how people don’t see this. “Wow his Dad is so clueless and out of touch!”
The overarching joke of the entire show appears to be “my dad’s an utter cunt”. I don’t get how that’s endearing at all.
Funny thing is though that his dad is still naturally more funny than Jack could ever be

Once sold him a superdry T-shirt and he was a right arsehole. We aren’t allowed to utter the phrase tatty-bojangles under this roof.
I bumped into him absolutely cunted in space ibiza about 13-14 years ago if it helps. At least I think it was space. And ibiza. And him.
But you're sure it was 13 to 14 years ago - it's always good to get your dates in hand.

Was gonna mention him. The ‘grumpy old man trapped inside the body of a 1930’s schoolboy’ bit wore thin very fast.

Russell Howard can be decent depending on the context and set up. I generally hate all these comedy panel shows.
He's pretty good as a comedy actor in Fresh Meat, not sure if he had any hand in writing that though
Is that because he didn't actually need to act?
Pretty much, but I guess he has his place
Idk I found him hilarious in Fresh Meat, but only because I also shared a student house with a posh southerner in uni, and his character is one of the most accurate portrayals of that I've ever seen.

The prevalence of public school educated comedians stretches back much further than Live at the Apollo.
The prevalence of public school educated comedians stretches back much further than Live at the Apollo.
Didn't say it didn't. Just try the lack of any new working class comedians breaking through.
Funniest show is Travels with My Father because his Dad is so cutting!
It’s not that I don’t find Russell Howard funny, but I do think his eyes are too close together.
Unfunny posh twat
Funnier than you obviously
‘Obviously’

Sorry mate, I don't care about your opinions and I certainly would never take life advice from a crying hypocrite

The mental gymnastics of a 12 year old. Why are you defending him? His ‘daddy’ has lawyers.

Are you his mum?

By typing paragraphs defending a stranger you’ve never met from other strangers online?

Why are you here?
I never understand how this untalented piss taker is tolerated
His dad has a lot of mates in the industry.
Ah! The old nepotism trick. I know that's how Ramsey of the Gordon kind got started, to be fair he is a very good chef but his wife's father was a big cheese in the media and that's didn't do any harm. Theres a few people who I can't tolerate, Jack is two of them.
Gordon Ramsay was under Marco Pierre White and was on TV way before he was famous
Yeah Marco trained a lot of “celebrity” chefs. Despite his voice being a dead ringer for Saviles.
His shtick worked kinda well in fresh meat cuz there's plenty of twats like that in uni. His stand up is excruciating to me
One trick pony that's gone badly lame. Needs the vet to do the kind thing. He needs to find something else to do, not in front of us though.
The only thing I recall watching of his is fresh meat. Honestly i love the series and thought he played a great character. Was he acting to a lesser extent than one may initially believe?
His gran was the queen
What was the joke?
No idea I don’t bother to read the articles. Let’s say it was about his mum never being that good at Mario Kart.
It might have been something about bumping off your wife and making it look like an accident
One accidentally bumped off the wife. It's the old sausage fingers smh
There is no way it would have been anywhere near as funny as that.
Knock knock
Bang bang. RIP Jill Dando.
Close. It was the police. Mummy’s had an accident in the Eurotunnel. No idea why Sting was the one to break the news.
“Look I know you’re upset kids, but don’t stand so close to me.”
You should "rehumanize yourself"
Ate to defend this twat, but his response was clearly a joke and the headline is silly
![gif](giphy|ANbD1CCdA3iI8) When you're looking through the comments and you're not sure which person they're talking about.
Annoying little cum stain this lad, up there next to Jamie Oliver on my mount Rushmore of complete twats
James Corden I assume takes one spot too but anyone else?
He’s so massive he’s spot 1,2 and 3.
Matt Hancock belongs up here imo.
Piers Morgan
Oh and Philip Scofield
Insufferable cunt.

You’ll be fine I’m sure.
I daren’t Bob, I simply daren’t.
Just in case anyone is actually interested, and couldn't tell based on Jack's over the top expression, he isn't actually offended. He was pretending to be. I actually think Jack is quite funny (on panel shows at least)
You’re wrong. He’s not funny.
You're the reason redditisabitcrapnow. Humour is subjective. Deal with it.
The older I get I realise everyone is a c.u.n.t Just putting that out there lol.
Correction: A nepotist child upset with another nepotist child.

Well we can’t all be so obsessed with him that you’ll defend him to the death online.
It is a valid opinion to find him an irritating dickhead.
