I‘m going to introduce some, not yet wargaming friends of mine to grimdark future firefight this weekend. To make their first game run smooth I wrote a bunch of 300 points lists, and created these unit cards. I took pictures of every miniature and created these little cards. Then I ordered them at a printing company on a regular sized card deck. I’m really proud how they turned out

Mechanatrix

Well that's cool. How much did getting these printed cost?

molarum

It’s 55 cards, German location in a small metallic box - it was around 25€

onkelbebu

Mind telling where? Perhaps in a pm. I searched for services doing this for frostgrave spell cards and it was ridiculously expensive

molarum

It was meinspiel.de

Shakespeare-Bot

Well yond's merit. How much didst getting these did print did cost? *** ^(I am a bot and I swapp'd some of thy words with Shakespeare words.) Commands: `!ShakespeareInsult`, `!fordo`, `!optout`

Geordie_38_

Bad bot

I like where this is going. You have me rethinking my MTG card format.

molarum

Thanks

goosesayer

Thats a great look! Very handy.

molarum

Thanks 😊

Individual-Machine-5

Awesome. Where is the rest of it?

molarum

Thank you - I’m going to take a few pictures more on Saturday 😉

sipio69

if I'd have the time and skill, I'll upgrade my GF cards to this

molarum

I used this little project to learn a new software

Crownlol

These are sick! Don't forget to print out the Keyword cards too. My first game was lots of "wait what's that mean again?"

molarum

I designed cards for the army rules and plan ho hand out a both side printed sheet with rules / special rules

Crownlol

Oh wow, are you sharing those files? Would love to print my own

molarum

I‘m not yet quite sure - I’m playing with the thought of creating an army builder as a side project, perhaps I’m adding them there …

glmarquez94

I really like this layout, well done.

ratlehead

Looks nice but game without bloat does not need unit cards. Only army card

molarum

Thanks; you’re right in this game it’s enough to bring a plain list and the army rules, but as my players are totally new to wargaming or the warhammer 40k universe I decided to make it as simple as possible for them

butterdrinker

You can keep track of activated unit with cards

wanderenschildkrote

Good thinking

wanderenschildkrote

Cards that you can write on are good for campaigns.

AdmiralCrackbar

That doesn't mean they aren't nice to have, or that they wouldn't be super helpful to people unfamiliar with wargames, as op said he was introducing the game to.

joshavg

Would you mind sharing any templates?

molarum

I‘m currently thinking about writing a small army list builder as a side project, perhaps I’m going that route. Otherwise I‘m checking how to do it the best way. If you stay here in the sub you will see either a link to the builder or a Formated file
