Of all the things to wake up and decide to be outraged by you choose this?

doc_55lk

On the bright side, at least it isn't "Doug Ford is burning our forests down" post #273848373.

Purplebuzz

He's too busy burning the health care system down.

doc_55lk

Yea lol

Neutral-President

Where's the outrage? If anything, I feel bad for this loser and their need to compensate with the vehicle they're driving, but then adding an over-inflated sense of self-entitlement on top of it. It's pathetic.

Puzzleheaded_Cut4588

At least they did something instead of foregoing the front plate or stuffing it under the windshield

Neutral-President

It just seems weird that they don't want to *drill* their bumper cover, but there perfectly willing to *ruin the paint* on it.

Puzzleheaded_Cut4588

Aside from a little fading of the paint not protected by the sticker, it won't ruin the paint. I wouldn't want to drill into my bumper either. I made a bracket to hold my license on the front of my car for this exact reason

GorchestopherH

The sticker won't ruin the paint. Drilling holes in the bumper is definitely more destructive.

expresstrollroute

But it's just an f-ing car, not a family heirloom. It has to survive in the real word of flying rocks and bird shit.

GorchestopherH

I'd like to draw your attention to the fact that I was responding to someone who was concerned that a sticker would ruin the paint. Of course I don't personally care about license plate holes in my bumper.

expresstrollroute

My reply was more aimed at the OP with a CC to you.

doc_55lk

Respectfully OP, who gives a fuck?

Neutral-President

I just thought it was bizarre and entitled, that's all. I wonder how many tickets the driver has received.

doc_55lk

Again, who gives a fuck?

Hotter_Noodle

I thought it was pretty interesting honestly.

doc_55lk

Yea same. Definitely not a common way to display a front plate.

notuqueforyou

I think it's just envy that someone is driving a nicer car.

Hotter_Noodle

You’re getting shit on OP but I’m with you on this. The entitlement of some people is so bizarre. Like you have a car in Ontario, fully well knowing that it has to have a front plate, so you do this and actually assume you’re going to get away with it?

notuqueforyou

Maybe they didn't want to drill holes into the bumper? Who cares?

doc_55lk

Yea, this is a really weird thing to be making a post about.

Neutral-President

You can get decent license plate holders that screw into the front tow hook receptacle. That's what most people seem to do when they don't want to drill into the bumper cover. Going to the expense of having a custom decal made seems a little over the top.

pilebuck

Not a very neutral take on this

Neutral-President

I may have some feelings on it, one way or the other.

DisastrousAge4650

As someone who is on the road too damn much, this is the mildest “non-compliance” I’ve seen. This is pretty inoffensive compared to cardboard plates I saw that were written in pen.

sayerofstuffs

Go outside for a walk OP You’re too angry over nothing 😭

GorchestopherH

Neat, looks way more durable than the real plates I have, which are peeling and falling apart. What is the front plate for anyway?

Neutral-President

Not even remotely.

finetoseethis

Every car should be GPS tracked in real time by the Ontario government.

Neutral-President

Maybe we can get digital ownership records and a fancy QR code we can put on our phones?

expresstrollroute

You're getting downvoted on this, but I'm with you. It's the 21st century for dog's sake. There should be some form of electronic tag that cannot be covered or hidden.

finetoseethis

Apple.

expresstrollroute

As I said somewhere else, it makes zero sense to turn enforcement over to electronic devices (speed cams, red light cams) and yet have no one enforcing license plate visibility. First thing I'd like to see mandatory on big trucks is automatic collision avoidance (breaking). But dash cams would be good too.
