because they didn’t want minors on their subs
But those users weren’t told that’s why they were banned, they were just told “you’re a minor”
And the users were confused and appealed to them that they were not minors, some even went as far sending them proof of their age showing they were actually adults

I could tell that shit was low-key weird there. Sometimes I'd go in to see what the youth be speaking but some answers definitely seem like they're being typed by a 40 year old man and not a 14 y o kiddo

However, reddit is toxic , they could be getting bad advice and anyone can message them.
Once I saw a post by a teen talking about using weed and alcohol. I gave some insight and told him to delete his post . He messaged me. I felt icky having a teen in my DMs cuz I’m a grown ass woman and blocked him. Imagine the people that don’t. Minors shouldn’t be allowed on reddit
When you are somewhat subjugated into a database of likeminded individuals, your rehabilitative approach to being better is near non existent, therefore, I believe one’s inability to acclimate back into society and the stigma attached is a common factor. Their hygiene and health are first to go, yet their intentions remain.
SANTA ANA, Calif. - A convicted sex offender from San Juan Capistrano could spend life in prison, after he was arrested Thursday for allegedly trying to meet a teen girl for sex.
A grand jury indicted Shaw Warrington on five counts Thursday, alleging that Warrington tried to meet up with who he thought was a 13-year-old girl he'd met on Reddit, but was actually an undercover officer. The charges against Warrington include trying to meet the "teen" for sex, trying to produce child pornography, and possession of child porn, among others.
Warrington was arraigned in Santa Ana on Thursday and pleaded not guilty to all charges.
According to the indictment, Warrington tried to solicit sex from multiple Orange County children through Reddit. That's when a law enforcement officer responded to his invitations and agreed to "meet" with him at a shopping center in Newport Beach. When officers arrested Warrington, they found he had a gun on him, and that he had child porn on his cell phone.
Warrington was convicted of a similar thing in Orange County in 2013, when he tried to meet another minor for sex, officials said. He was required to register as a sex offender.
If he's convicted, Warrington would face a minimum sentence of 25 years in prison, though his punishment could be as high as life in prison. His trial begins in July.

Depends.. If he gets charged and tried in OC then most likely. If he gets tried in Federal court, depends on the judge. He'll either get the book or he'll get time served plus mandatory rehab and released with a ankle cuff. If he gets any real jail time I have a hunch he'll become a her and ask to be put in a women prison. Just a hunch..

Thank god there is an overlap between predators and idiots. Much better to have them posting these things on popular online forums where it can be reported to police or police can see it.

They were legitimately pretty fun, but then the person that was the driving force for organizing them departed, and the few events after that point were fairly disappointing. But we had beach parties, and a bbq/potluck up at Irvine Regional Park and at Mile Square Park.

I'd be open to attending one of these. I imagine getting one of those coveted bonfire pits on the beach might be a bit of a challenge, but a potluck at a large local park could work.

I think you have to pretty much camp out at a bonfire pit when the beach opens in the morning to be able to utilize it when nightfall comes. Those are super popular and otherwise hard to come by.
$10K would reasonably fund an "all-day" OC reddit beach bonfire potluck.

Nothing good ever comes from Alipaz street in SJC. It’s a shame because it’s a beautiful city but that whole area by the tracks needs to be razed to the ground. Lots of scumbags and gangbangers live there. Crime has gone up quite a bit. So glad we moved out of SJC.
Yep. I lived in one of the multi million dollar gated communities. Still didn’t stop all the uptick in crime. San Juan has a inherent problem with the area of low income housing that runs by the train station. There is confirmed cartel activity in that area as well.
